After potting up the plants into the 10 liter pots and switching the lights to 18 hours schedule the plant responded merrily by almost doubling in size, though not with stretching. I raised the amount of fertilizer (as recommended on the label) and watering the plants receive (up from 125 ml to 500 ml) now that they are able to absorb the water. The root systems are I suspect doing quite well as the leaves are pointing upwards and the plants are pushing out ever more growth. 👌

Grow Questions

I've never grown pot from seed before, I'm at the sexing stage (40-50 days) and I'm having a little trouble with this one. I believe it's a male, but it seems to be kinda pointy, it seems to have a stem but is that just my eyes? Is this a male/female plant in your expert opinion?

It’s still to early to tell for sure by the pics really but my guess would be a male too. Get some more shots of some other nodes closer to the top of the plant. Might be easier to tell then. It’s really hard from that pic. But if I had to guess id put it in a maybe male bunch to be double checked again in a week or so. Get some more pics tho an we should be able to tell as I can usually sex mine from 3-4 weeks veg usually only needing an extra week sometimes 2 for some plants to be 100% confirmed. so yea get some pics of nearer the top of the plant near the top nodes an hopefully we can tell.

they look female to me.don't get confused, you can see some single calyxes on the main stem later in flowering which you may think are pollen sacs but no they are not. This doesn't mean it's a male.male looks completely different, check out my dead diary.still you can wait for another week to be clear and if it grows both female and male things(flowers and sacs), just dont toss it. you can remove visible pollen sacs by hand and you'll be safe

I updated the pictures, my "white" plant is definitely a female so no pics. The "purple" plant is in question as I have found odd structures that are either modified leaves growing into a new stem or perhaps male pre-flowers. I need your help to decide which you think it is.
