Amnesia XXL: Original Amnesia x Original Amnesia Auto 5 Gallon Pot, about 65% Canna Coco coir medium (rinsed, amended and rinsed before planting seed), approximately 20% Miracle Grow perlite and 15% Wiggle Worm Castings, amended with Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 slow release nutrients. I will be cutting the Gaia Green 4-4-4 nutrients down to 3 tbsp per gallon/ 9 tsp per gallon for my next grow amendment and keep 2-8-4 application the same. I use only vinegar to PH down. My tap water is slightly hard (PH 7.4-7.8) and loaded with calcium carbonate. Plants have had small fan(s) blowing on them since a few days old. It seems important to build strength in stalk. Tent: Vivosun 36x20x62" Light: Phlizon CREE COB 1000w LED / 245 true watts (x2 Cobs) Fan & Filter: Vivosun 4 Inch 190 CFM Inline Duct Fan with 4" Carbon Filter Gro Pro 724815 Premium Nursery Pot Squat, 5 Gallon This Amnesia XXL grow, my first grow, has been under veg and bloom lighting 24/7, since the seed was dropped into a cup of water. My goal is to keep her short, and to hopefully induce larger cola growth on the tops, rather than lots of popcorn buds below. Dinafem (Amnesia XXL Autoflower) June 3, 2019: PH of cup water with seed 6.5-6.54 June 4, 2019 - 12:05 am seed sunk with a light tap (8 hrs max for seed to sink) - 12:08 am pot soaked with PH 6.37 and seed planted - 12:17 pm watered with PH 6.33. Runoff PH 6.9 (received my PH meter) - 1:45 pm two soil runoffs with water PH 6.12, runoff PH 6.59 and 6.81 June 5, 2019 - 10:50 am watered with PH 6.14 June 6, 2019 - 1:27 am soaked pot with PH 5.9. 1st runoff PH 6.67, 2nd PH 6.77 June 7, 2019 - 12:55 am SEED POPPED THROUGH 3.5 days (Day One Sprout)

Lots of growth through days 17 to 21. I consider day one at time of sprout. Tops height was 5.20" on day 19.. prior to applying LST. Height is no longer relevant when using LST. I'm hoping for height after I LST the plant around the bowl of the 5 gallon pot, just before bloom. Considering this is an Amnesia XXL auto strain that runs around 10-12 weeks, I am hoping for a longer vegetative period to allow for more vertical growth. Lights moved to a distance of 22" from tops on Day 19, after LST. Day 18-19 HST/LST Height 3" Day 20 a topping and pruned approximately 7 leaves Day 21 lights moved back to 18" Day 21 Height 4.25" Water PH 5.85-6.2 through Week 3

June 30, 2019 at 2am / Day 23: 4.5" maximum height. Light LST and I defoliated 2 inner leaves for light penetration below. Light moved to 24" above canopy. I moved it up a bit higher than usual to promote vertical growth and for stretch across the 5 gallon pot. I have been keeping the light between 12 and 18 inches, and hope to be back at those heights soon. Watered with PH 6.07. Second runoff PH 6.44. I water the whole 5 gallon pot with a little more than 1 liter every 2 days. July 1, 2019 at 3pm / Day 24: Nice vertical growth at 5" maximum height prior to LST. Breezing through LST and light pruning of inner leaves. Hard to notice if there are delays from the stress. I'd say that there are and it is minimal. The exposure to stress and extra light may outweigh the stress. She seems really strong and happy. lol 9:00 pm more LST. July 2 at 1am / Day 25: Gone into preflower. Maximum height 6". Light moved back down to 14" above canopy. Watered with PH 6.1. Second runoff at PH 6.42. Watering is now 1L every day to day and half max. 2pm: Light moved to 18", Light LST at 3:30pm. 6pm: Light moved back to 14" at night and 18" in the day. July 3 at 3pm / Day 26: After minimal LST maximum height at 5.75". 6" at 10 pm. July 4 at Day 27: Defoliated and mixed in a very teeny teeny, tiny sprinkle of Gaia Green 4-4-4 slow release nutes and watered my 3 plants. A little less than my fingertips could hold of the dry mix nutes. Mixture at PH 6.1.

July 6, 2019 at Day 29: - Highest top at 6" upon wake up. Applied LST, pruned a few leaves and tucked. The usual. It was really humid here on July 5th. Not often does it get that humid at feels like 109F outside. But, once is enough. Rain rain, saturation and my tent ran up to 28.7 Celsius for a couple of hours. Within the next few days, I am going to buy a portable ac/dehumidifier unit for the room my tent is in. All is fine until humidity arrives like yesterday, and things start to heat up. Some of my pistils are already turning orange at the tips!? It might also have been stressors from the extra fan I had running on it until the rain broke and things cooled down. I don't think it's a big concern. However, I'd like to grow at an optimum level of plant health. Update: In my opinion, it looks like slight top burn from Day 26 onward. More than likely it happened on Day 25 at 6pm, when I moved my light back to 14", and snowballed when the humidity storm hit. Thanks, growdiaries! Logging my grow data here helped me to troubleshoot. I'm now looking for stretch and my light has been sitting at 22-23" for the past few days. July 6th, Day 29 at 10pm: Gaia Green nutrient schedule is to feed 4 tbsp/gallon once a month. They are slow release nutes. I decided to give a very light feeding today. I want my next feeding to be the boost, as well as I believe that I ran my pots a little hot at the start of this grow. Today, I topped my coco medium with 1.5 cups of Wiggle Worm Castings mixed with 4 tbsp/5g of Gaia 4-4-4 and 4 tbsp/5g of Gaia 2-8-4 (2.4 tsp/gallon) I will feed a higher percentage and up the Gaia Green 2-8-4 for bloom around week 7. I watered the 5 gallon pot with about 3 liters. Watering PH 6.22 - 1st PH of nutrient topped runoff 6.61, second 6.71 and fourth runoff at 6.75. I disposed of runoff and washed the planter saucer, as I usually do. Time to adjust watering PH, schedules and amounts for balancing nutrient uptake. July 7, Day 30: Started working more hours at my job. My plant is babysat less. :) It might be a good thing for her at this point in time. July 9, Day 32 at 12pm: Watered with about 3 liters at PH 6.42. Second runoff PH 6.96. July 11, Day 34 at 4am: Watered with 2 liters at PH 6.52. First runoff 6.97 and second runoff sat at PH 7.02. Throughout this week, week 5, I pruned for light penetration. Maybe I should have waited. Learned a few things about humidity, heat and slight tip burn effects, and how much happier my amnesia strain is after retopping my coco medium with a small dose of Gaia Green nutrients. I learned to pay attention to slight changes in colour of the plant leaves, and that I probably should have added nutes around week 4, instead of day 1 of week 5. As Gaia Green recommends. I was scared that I ran my coco pots hot at the start and waited an extra week. No worries. She's happy. lol Fingers crossed Note: I am just playing a guessing game. This is my first grow. :) One thing I think I will stand by in my next grows, from my experience in the three that I am currently growing - LST is beautiful. :) On to week 6 and looking forward to stretch.

Week 6: I have been watering with 2 liters approximately every 1.75 - 2 days, with a PH between 6.4-6.5. Applied some light LST. Though, I was not planning to. Light pruning done to promote light penetration. Day 39 - July 16, 2019 at 3am: Topped pot with 5 tbsp of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 5 tbsp of Gaia Green 2-8-4. Ran 4 liters of water through her with a PH at 6.47. 1st runoff PH6.91, 2nd PH 7.07 and 3rd 7.17. Highest top at 8.5" before LST. Now back at 8". Defoliated a lot of leaves. Day 40 - July 17, 2019: Preflower stage seems to be in gear. :) Lots of new pistils popping up. Gaining about up to an inch per day. LST has brought her back down to around 7.5" at the highest point. I'm not so sure what to do with all the new tops popping up. I defoliated a few lower, weaker ones and am going to wait and see which of the newer tops take off in growth the fastest. I should of, so-to-say, mainlined her highest point sooner. The undergrowth is now becoming strong tops. They could be stronger if I did it sooner. :) I'm on the fence about if I should defoliate more and keep only the initial 10 tops that I had before week 6 or leave her be. I will wait and see what she delivers first.. after the new tops figure themselves out. It's hard to cut off pistils. Day 40 at 6pm: She had a 1L drink of water with a PH of 6.4, Only slight runoff and I did not measure the PH. She's thirsty for nutrients! 6:40pm: Defoliated a lot of leaves. Most leaves that looked at least a couple of weeks or so old, and others. Day 41 at 3pm: Dropped light down to 18" from canopy tops. Watered with 2L at a PH of 6.39. 1st runoff PH 6.93 and 2nd runoff PH 7.09. Highest top 8". After heavy defoliation and LST, I'm going to leave her alone for a bit and let her do her thing.

July 19, 2019 - Day 42/1 of Week 7: Topped pot with 3 tbsp of Gaia Green 2-8-4 for bloom and 1 tbsp of Gaia Green 4-4-4. Watered a little more than 1.5L at PH 6.5. 1st runoff 6.91, 2nd PH 7.15. July 23/Day 46: Since July 19th - Watering with about 1.25 to 2L every 1-2 days, at a PH of 6.5. Did not measure for runoff. To flush things through, she had a lot of water the past two nutrient feeds. After pictures were taken, today, I defoliated at least 10 leaves for light penetration and cut off 4 weak tops from below. July 25/Day 48: Still fiddling with mild LST to keep light penetrating. Defoliated again, watered with 2 Liters at a PH of 6.5. Slight runoff PH at 6.85. Time to feed her again soon. She is starting to fill out. Pictures taken, defoliation done after. I also chopped out 3 low, weaker tops which had little pistils showing.

July 27, 2019/Day 50/1 of week 8: Defoliated up to 10 leaves. Watered with 3L at a PH of 6.46 and 6.39. Runoff PH 6.84. Applied more LST. Going to feed her more nutrients shortly. July 30, 2019/Day 53 @ 1:20am: Topped with 1 cup of Wiggle Worm Castings, 10 tbs of Gaia Green 2-8-4 (2 per gallon) and 3 tbs of Gaia Green 4-4-4 (0.6 tbs per gallon). Trying to get the dry amendment topping worked into the coco. Watered with 3.5L of water at a PH of 6.49. PH runoff at 7.03 and 2nd runoff at PH 7.14 Week 8/Aug 1/Day 55 @ 9:30pm: Dropped light to 15.5 inches. Will be moving it back up to about 17.5" tomorrow, when the sun starts working the A/C harder. Chopped off 3 smaller stalks with few pistils and sugar leaves from below and defoliated about 15 leaves. I tested premature samples from smaller stalks that I cut off at almost 8 week old, and it was pretty good for a first puff of the day, today! :) Felt exactly like the kind of buzz I like, just weaker at this stage of her life cycle. Aug 2/Day 56: Smoked my second joint from the weak stalks I cut off. Already a great head high! I was shocked.

August 6/Day 60: I have left her alone for almost a handful of days. Defoliated about 20 of the bigger leaves. Over the past two days, she is starting to get really sticky and gassy, and her smell is getting stronger. Aug 9/ Day 63/End of Week 9: Gaia Green coco coir amendments raise the PH. It's not like growing in a hydro system with an acidic base that is fed daily. I am going to start gradually dropping my watering PH from 6.5 after I fed her this week, to between 6.3-6.0 as the weeks tick away and she sucks up more nutrients. Lots of new growth, trichomes are clear, lots of orange, red, brown and new white pistil growth. Lots of sugar leaves showing me more about the structure of my bud sites. :) Still using mild LST, defoliated about 10 leaves and trimmed a bunch of sugar leaves. Watered approximately 2 liters every 2 days at a PH of 6.5

August 10, 2019/Day 64/1 of Week 10: Last week, I watered minimal and had very little runoff. I have been watering every two days at a PH of 6.5. Day 65: Watered with 3L at a PH of 6.4. Runoff PH 7.01. At 9 PM, light moved to 15" and A/C regulating tent temps to 24.7/76.5F to 25.3C/77.5F. Day 68: Watered with about 2.5L at a PH of 6.43. Did not measure for runoff. Light still at 15" Day 69: Moved light to 17" above canopy End of Week 10 notes: Stop getting hair in my buds. lol Cheers to all the growers that wear hair nets, lab coats and gloves! I'm glad to see that she has very few amber trichome tips. She is mostly clear and starting to go cloudy. I want more time to beef up. Will be interesting to see how fast the trichomes continue to change and when her white pistil growth slows. 😁

Where does the time go!? :) August 17, 2019/Day 71 /1 of week 11: I have left her alone since the end of week 9. No more LST or defoliation. She has led a stressful life. lol I started watering her less frequently, about every 2 to 2.25 days, and her temp has been sitting around 25-26C. Seeing a decent amount of new white pistils popping up. Lots of transparent trichomes and lots are starting to turn cloudy. Minimal amber coloured trichome tips are starting to appear. I'd like to achieve cerebral and creative THC type effects. Not much into sedation or couch lock. There is a nice balance of body relaxation without the couch lock, somewhere. Following internet recommendations - I want somewhere between cloudy, white and not too amber. I'm guessing that I have at least a week or two left. The longer the better, IMO. I have yet to decide if I will be harvesting my first grow gradually. I need to see how the progression of trichomes turn out. Light moved higher to 19" above canopy. Hoping that by increasing the light distance it will help to slow down the trichomes turning amber. I dunno. :) This is my "First Grow". Day 77: Still popping white pistils. Tent temperature at about 24.5-26C the past few days. Humidity has finally dropped outside. Fall is in the air. Humidity in tent is low to mid 40% range.

Happy Harvest Day!

Update: July 3, 2020: Amnesia XXL Auto by Dinafem is my favourite :) August 31, 2019 @6pm/Day one of Week 13/Day 85/Harvest: I am extremely happy with the outcome of my Dinafem - Amnesia XXL autoflower grow. She has been a strong strain and through a large amount of stressing from daily LST and defoliation. I did leave her alone for the last couple of weeks. I felt bad and excited while taking her down. :D I cut the main branches off, just below the buds, and hung her to dry. I did not separate each branch or do any trimming. Hence, she will lose a good bit of stalk weight once I trim. However, I'm happy, regardless if I lose up to 75% when dry. :D Buds are really gassy and super sticky! It is pretty darn hard to wash the stick and smell off of my hands. :D Thanks Dinafem! Awesome! I couldn't wait to try my properly cured product or even stove dried. :D I split a nug apart, placed it on a paper towel and a plate, and put it in the microwave. I ran the microwave for 8 second intervals x6 /48 secs, turning the cannabis at each interval, and it ground just fine. I'm impressed!! The taste was already reasonably smooth and clean tasting, considering that she has not yet been properly cured. The burn was not harsh and she tastes like lemon and pine. I read that her taste and burn will become a lot more refined in smoothness (clean tasting) and flavour, as she becomes more refined during cure. I felt a super awesome cerebral kick after the second inhale, straight to the brain. :D I felt immediate lightness come over my head/mind, focus kicked in strong and my vision remained excellent, creativity, happiness, energetic, bright eyed, some euphoria... and I did not experience couch lock! Effects last pretty long! This is what I wanted! Definitely a great strain to smoke during the day and at social settings. Coming off of the buzz is perfect, IMO! That's important to myself. I prefer very little side effects coming out of my buzz. Effects like heavy head, tiredness and dry blurry eyes don't make me feel good. :) Unless I'm using CBD strains to get to sleep fast, so that I can do lots of overtime hours at work. :D Though, I don't have problems with sleep. I'm a sativa lover whom has so far learned that I prefer terpenes: terpinolene, limonene and pinene (Alpha and Beta) and myrcene... So.. to each their own! :) What I have learned in this grow: Make sure to use the proper PH and calibrate my meter more frequently. Use less nutrients than suggested for autoflowers - Do not over water - Wear a hair net - Grow more Dinafem Amnesia XXL autos :D P.S. My LED grow light is rated equivalent to 1000 Watts. It pulls 245 watts from the wall. After cure and trim I lost 81.504% and ended up with 18.4958% of 17.95 ounces, leaving me with 3.32 ounces, including a couple of grams I smoked prior to the curing stage. Happy Dinafem customer here! :)

@DinafemSeeds, Thanks, Mark. :) This is my first grow. After some research, it seems that growers are having luck with bigger colas and less popcorn buds via using LST. It will be interesting to see the final product. She seems like a strong girl, after everything I put her through. :) Cheers! Heidi

@Chi_K24, Thank you, Chi. I'm not so sure I want to top this strain next time I grow it. She grew enough tops on her own, and LST and tucking work fantastic, IMO. Next time I am going to plant the Amnesia XXL seed by Dinafem off-center. That way it will give me more room to LST the highest top, rather than topping it to keep the tops level. I have 9, hopefully strong, tops right now. I had 10, but chopped the weakest one down yesterday. As I've been growing and researching, I think 9 tops is more than enough. Good luck with your Amnesia grow. She is hearty and smells great already!

@DinafemSeeds, Mark As I sit here and smoke a five day cured sample, my third joint since harvest, I am super impressed by the clean burn, how the taste is coming along, and holy crow does it hit straight to the head and last a while. :D A little goes a long way. I love that my vision is still great and there are no heavy head feelings left behind from the effects. :) This is amazing, for my liking! Thanks DinafemSeeds! It feels like a premium strain all around. I have 2 more Dinafem Amnesia XXL seeds to grow. Smiles

@WillyWonka, Thanks :) I have a Dinafem - Haze 2.0 XXL finishing in the next few weeks and I ended up with a photoperiod Super Lemon Haze strain. It is in week 12 and has not yet started preflower. I'm debating if I let her grow out. She is space hungry. After the mix up of receiving a photoperiod instead of an auto, just tonight I received an email with a generous offer for the oops. They offered me 3 free seeds to make up for sending me a photoperiod. hmm :) I also have 2 more Dinafem Amnesia XXL seeds and x2 Haze 2.0 XXL seeds left. I'll be growing Amnesia my next grow, maybe the Haze XXL again, and Sour Diesel, Jack Herer...
the end.
