Plants growing like a dream [forgive the pun!] The only issue is down to me.......thinking 4 plants in 15l pots would work in a 3x3x5.8 tent. Fimming on front left, topping front right and all 4 have been manicured lower down given the leaves removed had served their purpose. A little leaf tucking has also been employed though plenty more to come. The only addition I plan to make to the feeding scheule is to introduce some Biobizz Bloom once the budding starts. [I'll continue to use both Ecothrive products - fantastic stuff and hopefully the photos demonsrates that.] KISS is the approach here! More to come. Harry

Space Invaders! The tent is bursting and height to light is shrinking. Hoping the stretch stops soon! [I think plenty to go given they're growing over an inch a day so I'll need to get imaginative -any suggestions welcome.] Plenty of budsites just beginning their journeys - I wonder how beefy they'll get?!! Until next week. Harry

Solution to height - supercropping, I am thinking, is the only answer? [ or......how close to the lights can the plant get - currently 14" from the LEDs.]

Hey there Harry, To control for space, the best is supercropping, second best is HST, and third best is LST. But in my personal opinion starting LST now would harm your yield as would HST and supercropping. Usually you want to have all these interventions planned while the plant is still in veg. Especially for an auto like mexican airlines that stiffens up pretty rapidly. Next time for HST what you do is you bend the lateral branches until they start to give off a sound, in this way the branch is not broken so the plant recovers faster and the height is controlled. I think you should run this grow without training because i noticed that autos once they're ready, if you f with them they will not be happy at all. You LEDs are fine, the plant can get real close to these with little harm, but honestly, only you can say for sure. Do that "hand test", that means measure the distance between the light and your hand and leave it there with the lights on, if it starts to be uncomfortable then it's too close to the plant at that distance. theoretically you could get as close as 8 inches. Plenty of space for your healthy plants ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

Middle of week 7 and the stretch seems to have stopped......phew. A bit of jiggling with light positions has given me more space height wise. Girls looking good.........touch wood! 😁 Update - Day 49 stretch has stopped so bud building from here on in. Slight cal deficiency - hopefully molasses and low dose of the Bio Bizz Grow will remedy. Other suggestions welcome!

Start of week 8. Light schedule changed to 20/4. Have some mild deficiencies on a few of the leaves and I'm thinking that giving the ladies a few hours rest will help. I've heavily super cropped the plant under the HS1 - Was fimmed late and I think it slowed down the veg state. Good news for me as I'm able to experiment with more methods prior to flowering and any bud will be a bonus. Evening update - have had to pull another plant [image #4] out of the tent as the 2 remaining have turned into beasts that need more space. Monday morning update - Both main colas have been supper cropped due to their closeness to the lights. Done yesterday afternoon. Doesn't appear that I've damaged anything on checking this morning though I'm not sure they'll straighten up again due to their weights. I may be surprised! [Photo update this evening.] I've put the pulled one under the HS1 though it's now in the open and flowering so I'm not sure what to do - cull it or keep it and try and find a space in the tent once I've done the last of the defoliating? [ 1 HS1 aint enough for 2 plants given their size and structure.] Every day's a school day! 😊 Day 52 update - Super cropped main colas appear to be dealing with the abuse. I do however have a deficiency, primarily with one of the plants. Thinking lack of calcium is the cause though any advice most welcome

Week 9 Buds are beefing up on all plants. The 2 Bonsai are 10 days ahead of the main plants. Feeding heavy on the bloom and the additional cal mag appears to have had the desired effect. The smells are also very apparent now - citrus and fruit though hard to distinguish what scent is coming from which plant. Regardless the cocktail is very pleasing on the nostrils.

Reddening of leaves quite prevelent at top of plant. Think it might be a PK deficiency. Question being - is it too late to add a PK booster at this stage of flowering? [Or will I have to ride it out?] Thanks, Harry

Into week 12 - thinking possibly 7 - 10 days before harvest. Feed reduced to just the bloom at half dose - water only from Monday [Day 80]. The autumnal colours she's exhibiting are just stunning and the flowers are taking on a beautiful purple hue. Buds still swelling, budlets still forming and she continues to throw out white pistils though at a slightly reduced rate. 😋

Day 84 and the blue lady is down.....i repeat....the blue lady is down.....trichomes at 10% amber so decision made easy. Drying in brown paper bags [roni size stylee!]. No wet weight so dry yield will be established in 5-7 days time with smoke report to follow. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Update - buds dried in the paper bags for 5 days and are now jarred up into 3 x 5 litre jars and the bonsai in a 1.5 litre. The large lady weighed in at 8.11 oz and the bonsai 0.63 oz making a combined weight of 8.74 oz - not bad considering she was growing alongside a mexican airlines in a very cramped space up until week 10 of the grow - which yielded 4.72 oz! [combined - 13.46 oz!!!] No smoke report as it'll be a few weeks before I actually try it - will report back like a good lad once that's been rectified! 😋 I have nothing but praise for the Fast-Buds crew. Great genetics and fantastic customer service. ------------------------------------------------------------------- In terms of the grow this lady was a delight - very forgiving of a number of skoolboy errors, the primary one being the delayed feeding of nutes which displayed itself at week 5. Once rectified there didn't appear to be any longlasting damage. Perhaps I could have yielded more but hey no complaints from me. Lolipopping and defol methods were employed and to the benefit of the grow I'd surmise - great air circulation and great light penetration too. I've yet to try the fruit - nearly 3 weeks into the cure so I'll probably leave it for another 3 before I investigate the taste and effect. [The bouquet is developing and hints of blueberry / fruit are already evident.] Will report back in a few weeks time....or I'll try to dependent on the effects!
