Just started up, 6 weeks before days go shorter here. The idea behind it is that i don't want this plant to grow very big. Gonna be my third outdoor now but my first sativa so i'm aware of the height this plant can grow. Germinated in a glass water for 24h, after root came out straight in a coco sproutpad. Came out 30hrs later. Using the plagron line here. Royalmix soil and terra grow and bloom. Also have Root power, pure zym and green sensation ready. No extra nutrients in soil because it's already in there. Maybe put in some live worms for extra soillife. I have the Terra grow and bloom where plagron advices Alga Grow and Bloom with this soil. Gonna give it a try unless u more experienced growers say it's a no go. Let me know, here to learn from eachother. Greetings

This is week 2 to 4. Phone was broken. So far so good. No big problems. The weather was extremely hot here so maybe I gave a little bit too much water. Still no nutrients besides a bit of root power. Plant is doing fine

Not bad but a bit concerned with the yellow leaves in this stage. Thinking is a N Shortage but not sure. Any help would be welcome.

Still growing good but the yellowing seems to affect the other leaves too. Wanna fix this quickly before the plant gets too ill. Plagron says not to add extra nutrients with this soil so I didn't. Only water and 2 times with a bit root power. Nothing else so I'm really curious what's going on here with the yellowing.

To me this looks like a ph issue . I would do a run off test to see where exactly your ph is sitting after you water . To me the PH is probly a little bit high this is why it isnt absorbing all the nutrients in the medium . If your PH is fine then I might consider starting to feed your plants abit of nutrients because the soil has depleted in nutrients available for your plant . I hope this information helps you on your quest ! Happy growing !

It was a good week so far, gave less water and put her in a new home. Beautifull leaves and a quick grower. I hope she doesn't get too big 😁 I took her inside at night so the temperature never went under 20° Celsius. Removed the yellow leaves and it didn't became worse. Happy with that. Going to keep feeding her water with a little pure zym and power roots. The days are getting shorter here so in about two weeks it will be 12/12 schedule time. Thinking about putting her into 36hours of total darkness before flowering. Heard that's a good start. Thx for all the help and good advice friends 😉

Brother if you want something quick use the products with spinosad which is a soap bit you don't want that in the buds or on them .. you could use a 1to 9 parts alcohol to water and most the underside of the leaves it will kill many insects on contact.. there is Diatomaceous earth which kills all insects at very microscopic level with this grainy material that cuts up the bugs but is safe around pets and kids just don't play in it or inhale it while applying this is organic ..and then I have ladybugs not so much anymore and a dozen prey mantis in the plants I got they are the best natural pest deterrent hope that helps ...

Still all good. She is growing real fast so I think she will be a pretty nice plant in the end 😁 water with power roots and pure zym was given once this week. 1L and it didn't dripped out of the bottom. She drinks a lot but I dont wanna over water her. She stood one day in the rain outside too. overall healthy looking plant but I do have some brown spots and some dying leaf points, let's see if it becomes worse. I forced the flowering a little bit by putting her in the dark for 36hours. Outside its 14/10 light and dark now. No need for her to have more vegative weeks. Like I said, I don't want this plant too grow very big. I hope she switches to flowering phase one week earlier wich will give me some more chance on good weather and obviously a better, mold free harvest. Late September/early October is a tricky and humidious time here so I hope I was right with this. Really want to grow a good one this year haha

Good week, no major problems. She grew 20cm in 2 weeks and is about 50cm high now. Plant goes inside every night because I'm forcing the flowering myself. Outside 12/12 shedule begins middle September and I wanna harvest sooner to avoid cold and wet weather conditions. She needs about 8/9 weeks of flowering so I hope for middle to end October to cut her down. Maybe will do 10. We'll see A few rusty spots and some bugshit I think. some leafs are getting eaten away.i bought ladybugs. Hope they will solve it😁 . I'm not giving much nutrients now because once flowering kicks in I will give more. 1ml on 1L water of Terra bloom, Pure Zym and Roots power was given but I will not continue with the Terra Bloom nutrient. Plagron advices Alga Bloom with this soil and I'm gonna listen to them. Only used Terra bloom once so no harm done. Only one plant so no room for experiments. I have bought a ph meter and PH + and PH -. Will check on those levels after a flushing with pure water then start with the flowering nutrients for a good beginning. Ph is around 5 now after checking.... Thx for all the good advice on my many questions 😉

A nice week. Very beautifull weather here. Around 25°/28° Celsius. The nights are fresher but she goes inside every time untill second week of September. Then the days are equally 12light/12dark and she can stay outside. I released 100 ladybugs on her too, hope they will find those fuckin bugs that were eating away some leaves. The rusty spots don't become worse but I do wanna find out what the cause of this is. My PH in the soil is around 6,4 now and my water is 7 so that's neutral. Plagron says I shouldn't be even checking those levels because the soil takes care of it. Time released nutrients in the royal mix soil are nice but when u have problems can u just throw in some more or less additives..? I'm not gonna risk it untill I'm sure and it are minor problems that don't seem to affect the plant very hard. Gonna keep a close eye on it. After my previous update on week 7 she started flowering pretty quick. She started in week 7,5 with forming first pistils. She still looks very healthy and I'm not overwatering her. One time every 5 days or week I give her 1L to 1,5L. She reacts very well on the way i handle her. Not too much nutrients because I don't want a bad or chemical taste in the buds. I will give very little bit of green sensation in week 4 to 6 of flowering. Gonna flush sooner too. Very curious how the next 3 weeks (stretching time) will go. According to RQS she will become 1,70m. This can be less because of the forced flowering I did but we will see. This is a very resistant strain I think. We will find out in late September and October when weather changes. Happy growing friends.

A pretty poor week considering the weather and temperature. Cold outside and lots of rain. Kept her inside for most of the time. A constant temperature of about 20°/23°. How does a plant responds to this since I read that u need day/night difference in temperature to make sure the plant flowers well? I also lollipopped the under area and will do some more untill the half of the height she is now. Didn't give water for 5 days now. Going to let her use some nutrients from soil and let her dry up. Sunday will be the new waterday😊 I don't think she will become pretty big. Is about 56cm now and only one good "stretchweek" to go. Fingers crossed she doesn't get a huge growthsprint. overall still looking healthy and green. She is doing well. Happy growing friends

Plant is growing slow, maybe I'm wrong but I don't see a lot of difference since the flowering kicked in. Not as big as I expected. Looks very healthy and no problems but not a lot of evolution. She didn't get much sunlight the last 2 weeks so that's one major cause I suppose.

Sativa heavy strains tend to take a lot longer to do most things vs something indica heavy. I wouldn't be surprised if that strain took 12-13+ weeks to finish flowering. You do have some nice buds forming there so you can rest assured the plant is doing what it should be. It is just gonna be slow going and the last several weeks you should see the flowers really starting to bulk up. Lack of light can definitely slow things down as the plant won't be making as much energy for it to put into growing. The plant looks nice and healthy though so even with that lack of light the plant should be just fine. Another thing that will affect the rate of growth is the ambient temps. If things get too cold for the plant it will slow down its growth. You generally want 70F+ daytime temps and 60F+ night time temps. If temps are falling below those numbers you will have to take some action to keep the plant warmer. Not sure where you live but in the northeast where I am we can't really grow sativas outdoors due to the long flowering times.

Back to moving the plant in and outside. Bad weather coming up😕 This week was average, a few good sunny days but also cold nights. Started up with the green sensation and alga bloom. There are fan leaves that are showing a pretty quick yellowing. Not so healthy and green anymore now 😁This is maximum week 5 of flowering so it's a bit too soon to be losing leaves like that.. I'm Thinking she has a N defenciy because I barely gave grow nutrients since it was in the soil for the first 6 weeks. Second thing is a lack of light for those leaves. the Alga Bloom has N in it so I hope they revocer it a bit. The leaves on the buds themselves look good so it's probably the plant using the leaves for nutrients in this stage. Let me know what u guys think....? Update, look at the video, dirty bugs😠😠😠 caterpillars I think🤔 took away some infested leaves. And some of those fuckers. Hope it doesn't get worse Buds are starting to thickening, she has a little smell on her too by now. They already have some brown pistils on them. Nice plant but I hope the yellowing doesn't go to fast. 1,5L water with 4ml alga bloom and 1ml of green sensation was given this week. Will continue to give this for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Happy growing friends.

What can I say, there is barely any sunlight right now 😒 she is still doing fine but next year I will do the forced flowering even sooner. It's more like I'm keeping a houseplant right now haha. Buds looking tasty but I'm sure she could have been a lot better. Minor trails of caterpillars but it seems under control. Still will do some neem oil treatment and put in some grownup ladybugs. Smell is getting stronger everyday so that's a good thing 2L of water with 3ml Alga Bloom and 1ml of green sensation was given. Plant really likes to be treated that way and no danger of overwatering. Always let her dry out for 7 days. This is week 5/6 of flowering and everything goes fine besides some minor problems. Gonna post some more pictures tomorrow since it was a busy week here. Happy growing friends

Hello again. Welcome to Week 6 or 7 😊 Buds are riping and starting to give a good smell. Minor problems with some caterpillars but the plant didn't take lot of damage, I guess I was lucky too spot it soon enough. Temperatures are far from ideal but she looks like she can handle it. It's kinda like 22° Celsius in a normal room. Barely sunlight and for fresh air she stands at an open door. No idea about the air humidity but It rains a lot outside😂 no chances on mold this way. With al the things I did wrong I'm pretty sure this is a very resistant strain. Some yellowing fan leaves but totally normal in this stage. It is what it is, I will be happy if I have something good to smoke from her. 2L water with 7ml Alga Bloom and 2ml Green Sensation was given. The soil was pretty dry and only a little bit of water went out on the bottom. Thinking this will be one of the last waterings with nutrients. Wanna be sure too flush soon enough since my Orange Bud last year only had one week of flushing. Any thoughts on that subject? Give me some advice. Happy growing friends 😉

Welcome to week 7 or 8. Everything went well besides some caterpillars. Really not a lot of them because I barely see any damage and I check the plant everyday and remove them. It's a little too late to start using spinosad or other stuff in flowering period. Lesson learned for next year. Again bad weather but that's something I already accept by now haha. It's a houseplant right now😁 2L water with 8ml Alga Bloom and 2ml Green Sensation was given. This is the maximum to give says the description. Only did that for 2 weeks with a build up. Better start slowly and look at what she needs. Not a single sign of nutrientburn so she can handle it for sure. I really like this plant. U can stress her out and she bounces back like nothing happened. More experienced growers will have a lot of fun with this strain😋 This will be the last week of nutrients. She's going down in 2 weeks. All the pistils are turning brown, even the lower ones so time to buy a microscope and start checking the trichomes. Going to do 50/50 cloudy and amber. This is the hardest thing for me and I will ask some advice on this subject. But that's for next week. Happy growing friends 😉 Update : removed the main cola and some other buds just below. Bud Rot 😪☹️ Spotted it in the morning while taking a closer look. Was in doubt first but when I felt the main cola it was al Grey and slimey, could pull the leaves out of the bud. The stem was a little Grey/blackish on that spot so I cut away everything before it could spread. Also did a huge defolation and took away many fan leaves from the lower buds to increase airflow. This sucks😢 Out of 4 grows this is the 2nd time bud rot. Still have many buds left so I gotta accept this and be happy I discovered it by now instead of much later or harvestime.

Welcome to week 8 or 9 aka Flushing week 1 Discovered bud rot in the main cola and a bud below. Grey and slimey, could pull leaves out and the stem was a bit Grey and blackish too. Totally to do with the conditions she is currently dealing with. Started to late with this grow. Cold weather, even inside its like 14celsius maximum so that's not a good environment for her. High humidity and some bugs. It's a wonder I made it this far haha. Gonna make the best out of it. Still good buds left so I will have something from her. Strong smell and frosty tops and leaves. It is a strong plant considering how I abused her 😂 Lots of chance I will cut her down this weekend. Don't wanna take the risk to lose more and she is pretty much done by now. All pistils are brown and the buds really thickend up in the last 4 weeks. Many things went well too so this I a good grow to learn from and take notes for next year. Gonna flush for a couple of extra days and then dry her out. Happy growing friends 😉

Week 9 or 10 aka flushing week 2 and end of the road. Removed some smaller buds because of slight signs of Bud rot. Gave 2 flushings with ph-neutral water. The last 4 weeks were really tough to handle. Bad weather, bad airflow, lack of light, bugs and budrot. I had it all haha. 70% of the plant is saved but the loss of the main cola is a real bummer. I will start cutting her down in the next few days. All pistils are brown from 10 days ago so she had some extra time for the trichomes to mature. Very curious how they will turn out after drying and curing. But that will be information for the harvest report wich will follow soon 😉 Happy growing friends

Not a bad taste, better then my orange bud last year. A fresh smoke. Easy on the throat. Don't really taste the citrus scents. But this is after 3/4 weeks of drying. Maybe In a month they will have more than one smell or taste. Not a knock out stone, still active and ready to game, listen music, chill with buddies 😁 cool strain. And the buds look great. Definitely my best grow so far

Great strain, germinated after 24h in a glass water and came out of the cocosproutpad after like one day and a half later, started a bit slow because of overwatering (extreme heatwave here) but managed to recover very well. A nice fast growing plant in vegative stage with lots of big fanleaves and a pretty bushy under area. Transferred to flowering really fast and then had a little bit of stunt in growth, I expected her bigger but this has a lot to do with my growing conditions and overall temperature and air. Buds kick in really nice and start showing frost early and thickening buds around week 4 of 5. She can handle nutrients like a boss. Not one single sign of nutrientburn throughout the entire grow. The final 4 weeks were pretty tough to keep her happy since I had a lack of light, no good airflow and lots of rain. Also bugs and some budrot but I can't blame the plant for that. She fought her way through it and delivered nice buds. Not too compact but it's an outdoor grow. After 10weeks of flowering she looked done for me. I will grow her again next year and do better. Learned a lot on my first Growdiary experience 😊 Will update with smokereport and total weight/outcome after curing. Many thanks to everyone who has been reading, following and mostly gave comments and answers. U guys and girls rock. See u next grow or in the commentsection of ur grow😉👊 Adios

Hello bro Place your buds in any position, it is not necessary to put them upside down because the psychoactive agents are not in the sap contrary to an old urban myth. In addition to save space, the drying net can be a good solution. Leave at harvest time a maximum of branch length because it will be used to control the progress of drying. It will now be necessary to place your heads in a ventilated place, sheltered from the light, with a hygrometry of approximately 50% and a temperature approaching maximum of 20 ° C the first 3 days, then 17, 18 ° c . For this, a box with an extractor will suit perfectly.😉 You can now control the drying of your buds by folding the branches of them. Since the heads will dry from the outside to the inside, the tail of the head will be the last to dry and if it breaks clean; it is dry. This moment arrives between 1 and 2 weeks after the cut.👍 May the force be with you 💪

@Wicked_Stix, I transfered her into a bigger pot, the final one, and didn't give water anymore for two days now. Flushed my new soil before putting her in and mixed hydro pellets on the bottom and top. She's reacting good I think. Little bit of Root power and pure zym. Going to check on my PH too tomorrow, I'm giving 7,5PH bottled water now. Decided to take away the yellow leaves too before they could spread diseases. Hope this will do. We have some good weather coming up the next days so we will see. Will post pictures in week 5 😉

Pretty sure everybody is correct with the extra time (even more than breeders say) for sativa strains and the cold night temperatures. Going to follow the weather up. Nights are about Minimum 8° and maximum 14° Celsius with a high humidity level (about 60% to 85%) . Not an ideal environment I know. I did put her inside because of the forced flowering but this not always easy to do with my working hours 😋 I always pick strains that have high mold resistance because of this. Fingers crossed for better weather here

Yo brother, them plants look nice so far. But you need to control them bugs. Probably are caterpillars but you need to look at some ways of getting rid not just removing the leafs. Neem oil is a good solution. Try that and best of luck

@Ganjagardenner, sounds interesting, next year I will absolutely do more in the vegative stage to keep bugs and pests under control. Neem oil, citrus smell, ladybugs, praying mantises. Sticky traps. There are many solutions 🙂

@Clutch, I also bought a pack of royal queen seeds ,companion plant seed pack. It’s abit late for this years harvest but it sure is worth having a think about this product for next year. It not only makes my garden look good but it’s kept the bugs to a minimum for sure 👍🏾

Hey brother she is defenitely over watered and needs to be put into a bigger home. that will not cause stressed roots and that is a killer . Her full potential isn't reached unless you do that you can keep her happy and alive .

@Cannibalgardens, Thx for the advice friend. I'm pretty sure u are correct with the overfeeding. I germinated her in a cocosproutpad but after 2 weeks in I already put her in the royal mix soil. This is too much nutrients for a young plant. Gonna keep that in mind for the next time. Also a bit overwatering because of the heatwave here 2 weeks ago. Right now she is doing fine. Reacts very well on her new soil. Gonna post pictures tonight for week 5😉

@Cannibalgardens, Thx friend, gonna make sure not to overfeed her. Royal mix soil has all the NKP nutrients for 6 weeks it says so I'm not giving anything extra besides roots power and pure zym. Better to start slow and feed when it's really necessary. Going to check on the PH-levels too like user Valhalla gardens says 👍

Looking like a happy healthy plant . Shes going to be in full swing veg mode soon enough ! Happy Growing! -V.G

@Clutch, Nah I would check the PH levels first before trying to just correct it with PH down and when you do use that product VERY VERY little at a time , like 1 drop stir check the PH and repeat until your at your disired PH level . In soil Ideal ranges are from 6.5 to 6.8 Thanks for taking the time to respond ! :D Happy Growing! -V.G

@The_Projexx, Thx man. I'm trying to do everything right this time 🙂 My Orange Bud last year did pretty well, wanna do better this year. I do need to check on my PH-levels. Would it be wise to put in some PH down already? Really don't want to mess around with that too much because I never used it.

@Nordynllc, thx man, it was a smooth smoke but the taste /terpenes were not on point yet. More minty/fresh. I was really looking for a citrus taste since that is one of my favorites 😁

You have some nice resin production going on there! Looks like it is going to be great smoke.

Clutchcommented5 years ago
@Wicked_Stix, Thx man. I hope the same. She's doing fine considering the fact that there is barely any sunlight. Next year I will grow her again and will do the forced flowering way sooner.

In response to your comment. You can get some really good flushing agents, if you’re pushed for time in flushing, I always do one week minimum! Try and get two full weeks in ,it does depend on the products you used and how the plant is looking. So far she looks lovely so great job👍🏾Just wish I could smell her
Clutch
Clutchcommented5 years ago
@Ganjagardenner, I think she needs untill end of the month, wanna flush at least 2 weeks. 4 weeks of green sensation is enough I suppose and I wanna avoid bad chemical taste wich I had last year with the orange bud 😋
the end.
