I sampled a small bud that I slowly dried over a few days It has an interesting flavour but I could taste it's greenness so I won't be able to give a real report until it's properly dried and cured a little to remove the green taste it has. It did a nice head type buzz about it that lasted around an hour before mellowing into a relaxed feeling .

Seedsmans Northern lights Auto The buds could have done with another two weeks but alas we have a large rain system and cold front heading our way and I decided that if I wanted to get anything worthwile out of this grow I'd better pull her today. So thats what I did and she is now hanging up to dry away from the rain and cold winds. Very wispy buds that will not end up yielding much once dry however I see a bit of resin on them so I might have a go at some bubble hash or use it to make oil. It wasnt an ideal grow I had root issues early flowering whilst indoors in a Deep water culture bucket , I then transplanted her into a pot with perlite then again into a garden bed where she finally showed some signs of the plant she could have been. Next time I attempt this strain I will approach things differently and will use soil and an outdoor environment. The plant did show a lot of promise earlier in her growth cycle , she seemed very vigorous and developed many branches . During this grow I also grew some Sweet basil in a mini DWC bucket . This was a huge success for me with the plant yielding 3 to 4 times more useable material than I can usually get from a normally grown basil plant ( in soil and outdoors) Sweet basil once established is Absolutely easy to grow , is undemanding and not fussy what you feed her just as long as you provide her a Lot of water!! sometimes it would almost empty the 3 L bucket in one day 😮 A regular trim is a must to promote more growth and to suppress the plants desire to bolt to seed. Thankyou to all that followed along for the Ride .

@ROM101, yes I use that one too but as good as it is I just can't bring myself to use it indoors with the hydro because as you said it does stink like a dead fishes asshole 😂 bit like fresh dynamic lifter on a hot day Nothing Like it 😂😆

@DILLIGAF, DWC is an exact science requires a lot of maintenance. Unforgiving if you make the simplest of mistakes 😰😰

Hahahaha I saw the cover picture and thought that it looked like basil :P I've got so much room in my tent (only 1 light right now) and am considering filling it with herbs/veggies. I didn't even realise this was another one of your diaries! Hahaha happy growing again!

@DILLIGAF, that's quite the difference. I guess that's why the guys I was reading about used marigold, it handles from 6.0-7.5. It probably likes the nutrients more too being a flowering plant.

DILLIGAFcommented5 years ago
@Cheezy, I wouldn't plant the basil in with the weed simply because the basil likes a ph of 6.7 - 7.2 and your weed likes it down around 6.2 -6.5 plus the basil only has fairly low nutrient needs

@DILLIGAF, that's good to know! Our house plants in the living room have attracted so many aphid looking things, thinking about letting loose a bag of ladybugs! With the basil do you have to plant it in the same container? I've read companion planting marigold in this manner also increases resin production!

DILLIGAF
DILLIGAFcommented5 years ago
@Cannibalgardens, you can dilute it with more olive oil if you find it's a bit potent
