Is there something more exciting for a grower than discovering a new strain to grow ….especially if this new strain come from the legendary cannabis history ?...Nothing at my opinion. First of all, i would like to warmly thank Super Sativa Seed Club and Javier for giving me the chance to test this new Lava Freeze strain. Appreciate a lot your confidence.👍 ------------------------------- Back to the Roots : You can claim it to everyone guys : a legendary seed bank is back to the scene !! Like the phoenix rising from the ashes...with some crazy old school genetics….but also with new strains coming. They are present for the community now….here on the Grow diaries Plateform… Enjoy ! Before talking about this grow a little history is needed for the youngest of us...to clearly understand how the legend is born. Ready to go back in time ? let's go ! Here we touch the genesis of what cannabis is today…. the first two seeds bank ever created were those of neville and karel...in 1984 (for nevil's seedbank) and 1985 (for super sativa seed club) in Amsterdam. this could have happened through the meeting with Sam the Skunk ! the first american strain breeder in the world of Sk#1 (aka Skunk#1)…. when Sam came in holland in 80's... he met nevil and karel and gave to us 20 seeds each of his Haze original strain and few batch of his beloved skunk#1...and the legend was born. we must remember that at that time Dutch government had decriminalized the use of cannabis since 1976....so it was the place to be in the world….to grow and devellop the cannabis market. Nevil and Karel was already known as the best grower in that place….so naturally the connection was made with Sam. Modern cannabis hybridization techniques flow from this period Nevil and karel go throught the world to find landrace in order to create new strains more efficient and faster to grow…and with and article in high times magazine….sales of these two banks have exploded all around the world. keep in mind guys that this model created a long time ago is the same model for modern seeds banks. in the same time Karel was intrigued by hydroponic techniques developed in Holland in greenhouse….he decided to try to put them into practice for the cultivation of cannabis…..with the aim of growing indoor…. after few try….indoor growing techs was born. Unfortunalty this was not appreciated by the US authorities at the time...and nevil was arrested by the FBI….Karel on this side had to stop its activities in order to protect itself from the same danger….a lot of strain/landrace was lost… fortunatly....the haze close to the original was preserved during 34 years by karel…. in the same time he never stoped to developp new strain for coffeshop and others bank. and during all this time karel continued to hybridize and improve his skills….understanding that hydroponics techniques was finally not the best way to grow the best cannabis either for taste and for the planet… karel in 2007 received a hight times all of fame award as seed bank pioneers and legendary breeeders... improving its process years after years, karel finally founded biotabs company….with a goal : increase the taste and the yield of cannabis plants… you can read his book as well that is for me a bilble for organics grow ! Budofpray Previoulsy on this legendary diary… ----------------- After an introduction of one of the cannabis legend now it's time to get into the heart of the matter...growing this lava freeze ! grow indoor with the control of conditions is more simple cause you can manage for a huge part your environment. outdoor's not the same...you have to compose with conditions that you can't control for a huge part… if the germination can be easy to manage, growing a seedling with rough conditions can be hard...if the 2 weak of heatwave is over we still have hot températures around 28/29 ° each days….with low humidity… it is not the best for seedlings…. i decided to prepare two 0.75 L airpot and followed a part of biotabs indication for mycotrex startrex and bactrex... 24 hours after being in germantion nursery (in a DVD box) the 2 seeds sprouted in the same time...👍 So i put them at the morning in their pots...and crossed my fingers ! 10 hours later the first one shows signs of life...but not for the others...i had to wait 1 day 1/2 to see to see his face...i was worried a bit… a litte bit more when i saw she seemed to have problems pushing… with so hot temperatures u have to be at bedside to Watch and regularly moisten the soil cause it is a critical phase… now i think she's saved….but i Always have to Watch and control the soil… unfortunatly a second round of heatwave is anounced in 3 days 😕 in the same time i dont know what coud happen due to the fact that we are already half july...but never mind all is ready to host this seedlings in a 50l pots and a hole in ground when they were ready for…. with a 90% indica's hybrid and 'cause its a new strain i dont know how fast they can be to grow… let's see 👊 stay tuned

Budofpray hello folks ! srry to be so in late in my all diaries…..🙏 i have to fight myself against a Strange disease….mix now of fungi infection coupled in a brutal combo with a nice virus 👍….i tought that all this shit was behind me….but not at all. Now I'm a little better….so I'm enjoying some Energy to do some updates….!! sry to all not to be present on chat...or on coments….but i hope soon recovering more and more Energy….to finish this Strange outdoor run alive 😀😁😂… ---- Week 2 ------ a new heat wave was announced…..we are Under the drought for more than 4 weeks….and a Strange phenomena called a heat burst comes….. during a bit more than 45 mn a brutal elevation of temperatures and humidity 37 ° to 42° C and close to 80% of Humidity….it was suffocating like enter in a steam cooker…. i was outside and when i came home just before the end of this phenomema….and i already saw that they ware on trouble….pale steam….and developping pale nervs…. i was a bit worried….but the 2 next days showed me even with high temps she were recovering nicely …. stay stuned for the next Week update…..because this girls after this Dangerous episod….are on top 👍👊

Budofpray ********** Hello folks !! i am back on this diary !😉 i hope this time this shit is behind me…! Seriously it was a crazy story !! 😓 for the first time in a long time I feel much better ! it's like coming back from a black hole 😵….i recovering slowly the feeling of time 😄 But it seems that i am on trouble with all my updates….so i 'am going to DL pics until I'm up to date with very little text… Then i could do a condensed summary of these past weeks and answer and participate again to live chat with all of you ! Again ! thx for all your support 👍 *********** --------------------------- previously on this diary ! these plants almost died cause of heat burst phenomena ! it was really close but just after they started again to grow as if nothing had happened….👍👊👌 7 days later the growth was really impressive 🙌😻 - For an indica gens i I had never seen this before…🙌😍 after being delayed at the start now they grow fast. we can see that one plant is a bit faster than the other….i can't wait to see more !! 🙀😀 to follow….

Budofpray After a hard start this lava freeze getting bigger every day…..it s really impressive to see an indica growing like that. it was the first time i sprouted a seed so late in july….and to be honnest I didn't think I could have a big plant in the end...but with this speed…. all remains possible. for the fastest of two i decided to repot her now….it will be in the final 50 l pot to ensure the best grow as possible without stress… i used biotabs as recommended….i also used a all mix by biobizz cutted by 30% of coco to allows to the roots to easily colonize the pot quickly as possible...i Added crushed horn wich is a fabulous source of N with slow release so it s impossible to burn roots... stay stuned folks 👍👊 cause this plant will continue to excite me😜😍

Budofpray i'am still impressed by this strain….as i said the growth is insane ! thx to the vigor of lava cake lineage also known for a rare terpens profile ! heat burst, repoting, slug attack….Nothing seems to bother this strain 👊 in one Week the first that was repoted almost double in size...to 25 cm she's now 40 cm ! --------------- due to my personnal health trouble i wait 6 days to repot the second but even in a 0.8 l air pot (as you can see on pics) she kept growing without faltering 💪 the roots are really vigorous too sign of a very good strain...for the second one i decided to push the soil a bit….i use a mix of light mix + all mix 50/50 cutted only by some vermiculite to ensure a good aeration… add crushed horn for a maximum N available. as i am now in august i decided to use a 25 l pot cause this one is defenitely a bit slowest than the other…. and bcause we are close to a 12 h sun cycle. to follow and thx for your support ! 🙏

Budofpray Previously on this diary…. it was the first time that outdoor i sprouted seeds so late….on the two seeds i immediatly saw one extremly fast than the other so i used a 50 l pot with a own mix, much aerated to ensure the best roots development as possible...and this lava freeze loved that ! for Young plant she already devellop leaves bigger than my green gelato wich is 3 time higher. let s wee what's happened this Week. ------------------------- we alternate again between hot days (30-34°C ) and normal days (around 25-27°) at the beginning and at the end of the Week ! and the two loved that… 2 days we had light rain in Morning and sun in afternoon….fortunatly cause i was at the hospital to do check up and others analysis ! Ôm nama Shivaya 🙏…. i found the slowest a bit slow but when i look back to the pasts weeks it is a normal grow for a 90% indica….even a bit better than the average...but because she's near a monster, what we can call a mother plant...a keeper…. i think i had a good idea to do this kind of substrate mix….in this type of pot. she's now 63 cm and for the other 40 cm…..really impressive for 6 weeks with hard outdoor conditions ! great genetic SSSC...💪😍 Love it 😘 according to the substrate mix i done….i only add litlle bit more than indicated with bactrex….and all goes well 👊 i think sooner i could see the first pistils cause we reached the 12 h of sun Just a last Week to update and i would caught up….at least ! thx for Following folks….stay tuned !!

Budofpray Previously on this diary… this strain grows incredibly fast (keep in mind that's only 10% sativa in this cross) and i decided to name the fastest of the two : Bigfoot ! 👊 now températures if they still a bit hot are on average for the period. we alernated with some cloudy Morning and Sunny afternoon and all my plants loved that ---------------------- now with this update on that diary i catch up my delay !! 🙌 at least ! 😜 (not the case for all my others but i work for that) almost all my plants are now budding excepted for the bubba's gift which is way too late 😠 which annoys me ! i really pleased to see each Morning an evolution...she's getting bigger and fatter. the leaves are still impressive ( tha's why Bigfoot name) and on the upper leaves we see now a marvellous 11 fingers. the green color is also really interesting and different of all i've grown before. I never get used to looking at it ...but towards the end of the Week OMG !! 😲😱😱 what's happened ?? i was coming back after shooping and i saw the lower stem on big trouble...thought initailly I had broken it without paying attention…. but how very careful I am, i investigated to understand what's going wrong….! and i see on the main stem a thing like a tear !! (pics). i never saw that before...it was like she was growing too fast...we had a windy day but i Don't think it could be the Reason… what do you think guys ??!! worried about losing it, i tried to block it but i think a next amputation is to be provided as i dont have any heal gel. Crossing the fingers 😭. Now Big foot showed pre-signs of potentiel strech cause in the last night and day she growed a lot ! i can't wait to see first flowers 😍 i decided to name the other Ptipimouss...cause she's litle but hefty...💪 stay tuned folks i hope a great grow with thats strain…. and thx for Following this diary 🙏👊
