DankGardener I have a little bit of yellowing on the bottom but still mostly green. Brewing a batch of tea for living soil to help finish her up for week 6 through 9. Might let her go 10 depends on trichs and how they look at week 9
DankGardener Awsome week she is finished at the end of week 9. I'm cutting her before lights come on again today π. Hopefully she smokes and yields as good as she looks and smells.
Very impressive grow. I've been using mostly premixed soils adding in some coco coir and perlite. I feel having more organics in your grows helps produce better more unique flavors in your buds. It's a matter of preference. I still use chemical fertilizers because plants can utilize them more efficiently. But I have been following quite a few growers using Green Buzz liquids on their plants with excellent results would like to try it out. Unfortunately it's not available here in the USA.
Congrats with the harvest and a really beautiful grow of this cheese! Looks like CMH. I love how you just flipped the scrog over! Did you ever compare this whole-plant drying method to cut stems? Curious about your drying experiences.
@BillMonroe, yes I am using sun system 315w lec with Phillips veg and flower bulb. First grow with lights. And yes to your question. First time I harvested I cut branches about a ft long trimmed all leaves then hung them on a clothes hanger. But for me buds seem to dry out fast 3 days. Other harvest I switched to cutting all fan leaves leaving most sugar leaves and chop plant as whole. I'm now drying for 7 to a days with better smell and taste. Also Its just easier for me my opinion.
@DankGardener, nice :) . When I cut and hang the branches vertically, the "tops" (which are now at the bottom) seem to dry much quicker than the fluff at the bottom. that has always kind of confused me. Maybe it's because my extractor fan sucks most of the air in from the bottom and the drying happens quicker. I'll try it too some time, looks a lot easier indeed
@Fitstoner, appreciate compliment. This is only my second run at the scrog method and with a strain I haven't grown before. So still working out kinks.
Absolutely fantastic first SCROG grow! One day I wanna do it that way. Great looking budsπ Would love to see how u did vegative stage because u sure did a lot of things right there I suppose haha
@Clutch, I am starting my next grow today. I will be doing another single plant scrog. And im a keep track of whole grow. Sorry about veg on this one I was flowering when I started to use grow diaries. Love this site now!
Wow Amazing plants! I'm a first time grower, ive tried once in the past but since i didnt have any good lights or nutrients it didnt bud well at all.. Anyways i hope to have plants that look as good as yours! : )
Very beautiful work & results are worth clapping hands! :D
I also want to try Scrog tech, I think I'll make up my mind next time after what I've seen in your diary..
When do you apply net, what week?
p.s.: thanks for your help with my grow_question there, Bro!
Im actually growing two plants for comparison. one is fox farm ocean mixed with 25% coco. The other is 100% coco/perlite 1:1 mix. Same nutes, each have a separate but exactly the same light. I want to see if there's a big enough difference for the trouble and price
