I have failed twice to sprout in rockwool. It was so exciting to see the little guy pop up! First foray into Hydroponics. Using a cheap digital pH meter and cheap PPM meter. Very nervous about this grow.

Second week is going well. Added a fan not directly on the plant but enough movement in the tent to create small motion to develop strength. Having difficulty raising the humidity.

Struggling with humidity. Tried adding a co2 generator to see if it would help increase humidity. Added a saucer that would normally go under a 5 gallon pot with about an inch of water. Added a soaking wet towel hanging in the tent. The temperature remains in the 80sºF and the humidity remains in the 30s. Considered introducing a mature house plant to the tent.

Ugh. Still having humidity problems. I love my HLG quantum board but the heat is incredible! What is happening with the discoloration on two leaves? Day 27: Tested the DWC: Digital pH meter (needs calibration) showed 8.1. Chemical test shows about 8.0. PPM 646. 1374 µs/cm = 1.374 ec. 23.4ºC = 73.9ºF. Replaced DWC with 3 gallon of water with 2tsp Lickety Split per gallon and 1 tsp Super Sonic Plant Tonic per gallon. Added 3tsp TNB The Enricher. Digital pH meter now reads 7.3. Chemical pH 6.5. PPM 1054. 2242 µs/cm = 2.242ec (too high!). Added 1/16 tsp TNB Down. Digital pH meter now reads 7.0. Chemical pH 6.0. PPM 1038. 2200 µs/cm = 2.2ec. Afraid of going in lower and causing nutrient lockout. Hoping The Enricher helps with those brown spots.

I have 3 leaf problems. Look at the Day 26 pictures. The leaf closest to the fan has two tones. A closeup on day 25. The tip of one is yellow. Furthest from the fan, a leave has brown spots (I'm thinking a water drop caused a burn). Thoughts? Also, how do I raise the humidity?

well well . ok you are sure about your solution tmperature on 21 degree, if yes its good. the ph in dwc should be between 5.5 and 6.5---- fluctuations in that range are ok . But your ph was much higher. and so the leaves of your plant look like. PH issues. and as you mentioned the ec was to high too. To get rid of heat, just helps a bigger tent. Those new led are very strong ( and hot) i have a similar one and i ended in gettign abiggr Tent, now my temperatures are stable on 27 degree. You may get another nutrients that are working bettr with your dwc. But alltogether , your girl dont look too bad. You know whats going wrong / keep ph in the good range, dont oerfeed/ keep the solution coll/ maybe get a bigger tent/ other nutrients. You got to eleminate the reasons for that. its the only thing that helps. Iam sure with a bigger tent, your solution is cooler and everything works bettr.

Note:: Black meter low by 4% and silver meter low by 11% or 12% Rough week. I think my plant timer was staying on 24/7. Browing on the leaves is bothering me. I haven't done any training and she's getting tall. Currently 15 inches above the bucket. Trying to decide if I should top or lst or just let it go. Wondering if I should flip to 12/12. I cannot get the temperature down to save my life. Day 29: Checked DWC. 1200 PPM 2553 µs/cm = 2.553 ec. Digital pH meter shows 7.6pH. Chemical pH test shows 8.0pH. Refreshed with 3 gallons of water. Used 2tsp Lickety Split per gallon. 1 tsp Super Sonic Plant Tonic per gallon. 1/8 tsp TNB pH Down in the entire 3 gallon. Fresh readings. 732 PPM, 1557 µs/cm = 1.557ec. Digital pH 6.7. Day 43: Went camping for the weekend. Returned home to find the bucket bone dry and the plant wilting. Added 2.5 gallons water. 1179 PPM 2508 µs/cm = 2.508 ec. 6.5pH 3 hours later the plant was looking much better. Day 45: Added 2 gallons of water (no nutes) 6.5pH I've been turning off my light to take pictures but in doing so I think I keep messing up the timer. Not sure that I haven't been using 24-hour lights on some days. Going to be much more careful about that now. Day 49: Frustratingly, I am not sure my timers are working correctly. Seems like when I expect light, it is dark. I may have left the plant in the dark 24 hours. I think it is related to me turning off the light to take pictures. I have reset the timer to be 12 on, 12 off with the off time being when I am home to take photos.

Day 50: Plant is getting too large to remove from the bucket. I'm afraid I'm going to damage it trying to manage the DWC. Thinking about getting a second bucket and connecting the two with a tube and using the second bucket for adding and pHing water and nutrients. Began some LST. Experimented with adding cal-mag and Dr Repair. Some leaf tips were looking a little yellow and some leafs still have brown spots. Day 51: changed lighting schedule to be ON 6pm to 6am and OFF 6am to 6pm. She's looking good to me. This plant is filling the tent. Will it get too large? I tried really hard to have two soil grows going at the same time. Cannot believe I thought I could fit three plants in there. Not even sure two could be in there at the same time. Day 52: Added 1.5 gallons of water chemical pH 6.5 Day 54: Added 1 gallon of pH6.5 water Day 56: Allowed DWC to run dry. Added a second 5 gallon bucket connected by a tube and a valve to the DWC. This allows me to add and test water without having to move the plant. Added 3.5 gallos of water. Chemical pH 6.5. Digital pH 7.1 (need to recalibrate that). 1286 PPM. 2736µs/cm = 2.736ec. PPMs seem correct. ec seems high. No clue how to adjust that without screwing up pH. 23.8°C = 73.0°F solution temperature. Added 1 tsp/g Lickety Split for 3.5tsp. Added 1tsp/g Super Sonic Plant Tonic for 3.5tsp. Added 2 tsp/g Funky Broadway for 7 tsp. Added 1 tsp/g TNB The Enricher for 3.5 tsp. Figured the plant timer problem. Turns out the two schedules I had set conflicted so I was getting odd turn ons and offs. I have no idea what light schedule this plant has been following but we are back to 12/12 definitively.

Day 57 (technically 56): Added another 5-gallon bucket connected by a tube and valve to the DWC so that I can monitor the water, add water, etc without having to pull the plant out of the bucket. Allowed the plant to run dry to be able to add the new plumbing. Added 3.5 gallons of water chemical pH 6.5. Digital pH 7.1. 1286 PPM 2736 µs/cm = 2.736 ec. 22.8°C=73.0°F Fixed the plant timer. Didn't realize that the multiple timer schedule I'd setup was conflicting. Now, definitely on a 12/12 light schedule. I think we've been 18/6 this whole time. Day 59: Added SCROG netting which should have been done weeks ago. Day 61: Water looks fine. Plant looks to be recovering from the abuse of the screen. Nothing new to report.

If this were your plant, what would you be doing to it right now? Leaving it alone? Trimming fan leaves? Are those brown spots a concern (they are only on a few leaves)?

Nice grow. I'm seeing a calcium/magnesium deficiency caused by light burn. I would back your lights off a lot 6 inches is too close. This looks like an older issue are these leaves on the lower parts of the plant? I would be more concerned about the newest growth closest to your lights right now. If you look at your photos the leaves are showing signs of stress. The leaf blades are trying to fold up or are canoe shaped they are doing this to conserve moisture. I would go by your light manufacturers recommended light distances If the leaves lay down and stand out straight in a few days I would gradually lower your light a few inches at a time. You can also add some Cal/Mag into your nutrient regime these micro nutrients help your plants deal with light stress better. When those damaged leaves look really bad I would start trimming them off especially if they are on the lower 1/3 of the plant. Hope this helps brother.👍

Pretty uneventful week. At this point, I believe any brown spots are leftover from a previous issue. All leafs are looking healthy. The plant is lollipopping itself. I've decided since this is my first run with this strain that I am not going to remove fan leafs just to see what it does. Next grow I'll be more aggressive but this one I am using as my control to measure future successes against. I'm not happy with some of the plant growing above the light. I've been bending it over and securing it with plant velcro. Thinking of gently pushing the entire screen down to see if I can lower the plant with minimal damage but not really sure that is a good idea. Day 69: No more room to raise the lights. Tried lowering the screen but met too much resistance. Tied down as much of the plant as I could. Let's see what happens. 1025 ppm 2180 µs/cm = 2.18 ec Digital pH 7.0pH Chemical 6.5pH 1tsp/g Licket Split = 3.5tsp 2tsp/g Fucky Broadway = 7 tsp 1tsp/g Super Sonic Plant Tonic = 3.5tsp 3.5tsp TNB The Enricher For a total of 4.5 gallons H2O at 6.5pH

Using some twine, I tied off the four corners of the screen then looped the string under the bottom support of the tent frame then tied a taut-line hitch and crushed the plant downward to create more space between the light and the buds. Overall, I am very pleased with the result and do not feel that I harmed the plant. If anything, this should save her from bleaching. Day 79: Nothing to report. All is looking well. Tried pulling the plant down further away from the lights. May have to add more strings.

Uneventful week. Managed to get some more distance between the light and the flowers thanks to the twine and taut-line hitch. Cleaned out some dead leaves. Starting to consider trimming many more leaves but my intention remains to be neutral with this plant to see how the strain does without intervention. Setting a baseline. Overall she smells good and looks good. Day 82: Added 3.5 gallons of water 6.0pH. 1016ppm 2161µs/cm = 2.161ec 23.30°C = 73.7°F solution temperature Day 85: All is well. Thirsty plant says it will want more water tomorrow. Going through about 4 liters a day is exactly where it should be. I tired to peek at the roots and it is impossible to open the black bucket at this point. I'm so glad I added the second bucket for managing the water. When the water gets low, I pick up the red bucket and drain all the water into the black bucket then turn the shutoff valve. Next I mix my new batch of water in the red bucket, adjust pH, adjust PPM and ec. Then and only then do I open the valve and let the water flow into the black bucket. Since the buckets sit level with one another, I can look into the red bucket and know exactly the water level of the black bucket. The red bucket give me direct access to the water without having to move the plant allowing me to pH and feed without hassle. Day 86: All is well. Still plenty of water in the reservoir. Nothing exciting to note except that the buds are looking healthier in my eye. These next 4 weeks are going to be long. So wanting to harvest. Hmm. Based on https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-indoor-cannabis-growing-relative-humidity-and-temperatures-n243 it looks like I may need to get my humidity down. "3. Flowering Period Humidity levels need to be lowered to 40-50% (extremely important) You can get away with 55% (anything over 60% is real bad) It’s best to slightly lower temperatures in flowering Temperatures with lights on: 20-26 C° (avoid high temperatures)" My guage in the pictures is off by 4%. The real number is what you see plus 4%. Looks like we are hanging out in the 60%s.

I would defoliate a little to expose more budsites to direct light. Drop that humidity to 50% and the last 2 weeks of flower go to 40% boost in trichome production. Lower nutrient levels after week 6-7. Flush with pH water 5 days before harvest. And day of harvest chop before lights come on and starches etc. Make it up the branches to buds.

Day 115: Unless my eyes deceive me, I am finally beginning to see amber! I had a difficult time capturing amber in pictures. This is 65 days since turning to 12/12. According to everything I've read, this puts us very close to harvest. Day 116: undeniably seeing amber now. Just cannot seem to photograph the amber. Thinking I’ll harvest this weekend. If I had a separate tent for curing, I would harvest half this weekend and see what happens to the lower branches. Day 117 (flower day 67): Seeing more amber. Really want to harvest this weekend. Nervous that I am timing this wrong. Day 118 (flower day 68): Considering everything I read says this is a 60-63 day for flower, I'm really considering harvesting this weekend. Day 119 (flower day 69): So difficult to photograph the amber with an iphone because it keeps switching to telephoto mode when the loupe gets close enough. Despite the photos, I am seeing enough amber that I think I'll harvest in the next coupole of days. It could probably stand one more week but my schedule won't permit that.

If the seed supplier says "flower 9 weeks" and everything I read suggests 60 days in flower, are they referring to 60-63 days past switching to 12/12 lighting or are they suggesting 60-63 days beyond the first visible bud, or hairs, or what? IC a mix of amber, cloud, and clear.

I was trying to adhere to the seed supplier's schedule but had a timer mishap around the 12/12 switch and may have been giving as much as 24 hours of light. Also, in the beginning, I had a nutrient deficiency for some reason. I suspect that was because I wasn't taking PPM seriously. I also had heat and humidity issues in the beginning. I also chose not to defoliate or train aggressively so the seed supplier says it should produce 550 - 600 G/M2 and I produced 312.31 G/M². I did this on the premise that I wanted to see what the plant would do on its own. While slightly disappointed, not displeased. 7.1 ounces is not a bad haul. Did not measure wet. None of the negative effects apply.
