Cut 3 clones from the mid/lower sections from my black sugar, around week 11 now. Placed on heatmat with timer in a small dome, next to a seedling. Light is T5 14W, will add more light as needed

One of them didn't look very healthy so I removed her, wasn't a good clone from the start so it's fine. Other two look fine and healthy. Saw some roots sticking out of the cubes. Repotted the clones into cups filled with hydroton, Coco and bit of perlite. Sprinkled mykos also. Also switched to a bigger dome as my seedling was running out of space. Gave them a light feed including a dose of recharge.

The girls are trucking along fine, new nodes formed and about 10cm growth since last update. Got the lights upgraded this week with a diy custom build: 2 cobs with heatsinks mounted on an alluminium frame. Cobs are about 100W which should be fine for this space. 1x Vero18 (3500K) +1 CREE CXA3050 (5000K) Also swapped out the noisy pc fans with 2 X fractal R3 fans, set on a timer. Happy as they are much quieter and can run at night without disturbing anyone. I will start upping the nutes and might top them now at 5th node (the taller one if not both). Also considering replanting as I'm going away in about a week :)

Grow Questions
Dude420
Dude420started grow question 6 years ago
Which pots to use? Considering the limited space here I could perhaps (A) put one of them in a 3 gallon pot and 2 in gallon pots but that might be a squeeze. (B) Each in a gallon pot and replant later into bigger pots when I move to my veg tent? I'm thinking A..what do you say?

I would go for 2 gallon, in UK I would say 5/10 litres for this space for 3 plants. 2 larger, 5 gallon (15 litre) pots would have produced two large as fuck plants. You want to transplant soon and think about topping them or fimming them a week after transplanting. Make sure you transplant into a well drained, airy medium.

They're coming along and ready for flowering but will have to stay in my vegging cupboard untill there's space in my tent. Increased the nutes this week and defoliated the lower leaves. trying out High stress training, twisted and gently snapped the branches. Also gave them some recharge and they're loving it!

Finally replanted them into a 3 gallon pots. The roots look very healthy. Added mykos and gave them a feed including recharge. Also defoliated and topped all the tops. Plan to wait a week or two before flipping.

Girls are loving the bigger pots and looking healthy. I filled the top with Coco, perlite and some hydroton, as there were some sagging spots. Defoliated again in the middle and bottom, cut 4 of the lowest branches off to use for clones. They look healthy and hardy. I'm moving the girls into tent soon, then flip to flowering.

Flowers are starting to show, flipped them about 2 weeks ago when I moved them to the flower tent. They haven't grown much, still very short but the leaves and branches look very healthy.

Plants putting out more flowers and some the pistels are starting to turn brown. Buds are still small. I'm feeding more flowering nutes as well as blackstrap molasses. The runoff shows a higher ppm (6.9 and 7.2) and high EC 1450-1650) so will give a lighter feed next time.

Flowers are turning frosty and I noticed an increase in bud size. More hairs turned orange also and Tricomes look milky. I changed nutes slightly and added molasses this week. Next week start flushing, should be ready in 1-2 weeks!

Update: dry weight 38g so about an ounce 1.3oz after a week of drying. Busy curing and so far it's a nice and relaxing smoke, sweet like sugar aftertaste, the name is very fitting.

Clones took a while to take off so veg cycle was 3months. Space and sufficient lights were a factor. Plants were very short 52cm so easy to manage. All up happy with the results.

@Med_in_Tropic, yes exactly my thoughts, made a 3gallon hempy bucket for the seedling and the clones in 1gallon pots untill they get moved to flower tent

Those ladies look like they are ready for transplant anytime :) They look happy but a little light on the nitrogen I might suggest you up the nitrogen your giving them and they will return to a nice lush green ! Other then that they are growing well and your well on you're way to getting some nice medicine !! Happy Growing! -V.G
