Hi guys,
So basically I got given these babies from an overcrowded indoor grow about 5 weeks ago. I wasn’t expecting them to do well in the change but I give them a chance! Their weeds after all! My friend had done all the hard work and topped them nicely for me, they were tiny when I had them about a foot or so and now they’ve gained some size. I transplanted then into my horse manure- topsoil - pot ash mix! Using small pots to ensure they don’t over extend. I prefer to keep things hidden. They did well and took off nicely! The last few weeks I began to take them seriously and started to give them some feed and their looking great now. Keep an eye on these girls I think they’ll do well.
The biggest difference from my autoflower grow to these is the addition of bio heaven.. can’t really tell if it has had a big effect yet but they doo look very healthy and the buds have a better structure already
There doesn’t seem to be much of change for these girls this week, not in the pictures anyhow but I can see their gaining some size ! The smells are starting to increase. A lovely sweet early flowering smell is starting to come😃yummy! They look like they could do with a little bit of a trim but I might leave that until the end of the week. Let the buds take on some more size first. Just like to add that I ordered a pack of companion plants from RQS , starting from seed they seem to have bloomed at the right time. Not only do they make my garden look lovely, they also add some amazing benefits including pest control/ odour control and bring good bugs into to garden! For the price, it’s a perfect little addition to any garden. Kept nutrients the same , looking good so keep to a winning formation for now I think
I’m using biobizz fish mix during flowering.. does any body else do that or do you make the switch to bio grow? I have a big bottle of fish mix and no bio grow , I’m wondering if it’s really necessary to switch??
The fish mix can be used instead of the Bio bloom and generally when growing outdoor because it's not smelling really good but in vegetative stage. I can't tell if with that kind of "setup" you need to switch. A quick look at the Bio bizz feeding schedule on their official website will answer that
Dropped the fish mix and will continue to drop it weekly, until it’s about 0.5ml/l . Packing on the pounds slowly but as the weather is getting colder and less light I don’t think they’ll will get crazy fat! Getting some nice resin and smells from the girls. Waiting game now.. said it was a 7 week flowering, so keep watching!:)
This week I gave the girls a mini flush feeding only water to ensure there’s no buildup in the soil. Doesn’t seem to have a negative effect! Ever growing and getting fatter! There’s a sweet smell coming from them, like a fresh orange juice 🥤 ! Weather is still good here, having a bit of an Indian summer so great for the girls! Also gave them a well needed trim, at the end of last week there was quite a lot of canopy cover. As you can see one of the girls hasn’t really been topped too much and has that regular cannabis plant structure, she looks good with lots of sites but the other two have been topped and are producing some phat main colas, I wonder which will be the better producer🤔
This week has seen slow grown in the girls. Buds are hardening off but not a lot more growth left in them I don’t think. We shall see. Weathers been shit with high humidity and lots of rain! One of the colas had a tiny bit of rot! So I pulled it straight off, hopefully the next few weeks will bring good weather and the girls can have a nice last few weeks. Some more brown hairs showing but also some purpling of the leaves due to cold weather. I’m going to slow down on watering to avoid any bud rot! But I’ll pick up the amount of bioheaven and top max as going into final stages of flowering now.
Lots and lots of rain! Heavy clouds and no sunshine this week has been terrible. I found a few spots of mould on the girls so chopped a few buds away . Kept the good stuff to dry and bad stuff is going to be used to making hash! (I always keep trimmings in the freezer). Worried about watering them also as this will only encourage the mould 😕 next week will probably be the final week as I’m going to cut losses and chop em down. Lesson learned. Get a proper green house!!
Dried at about 70% humidity ,70 Fahrenheit for 7 days! Then popped into jars with a boveda pack! Should be lovely smoke in two/three weeks. Will give an update, although as mentioned doesn’t smell too much like kush!!
Update
It’s a lovely smoke👍🏾 About a week into cure, I left some sticky ness to the buds so has a lovely taste. As me tokens doesn’t taste like a kush very much maybe it’s from the blueberry side of the strain but hey ho a great smoke. Yield was slightly disappointing, but then again my growing conditions towards the end weren’t optimum. With colder nights and wetter days. Damn Northern European climate! Will stick to autos next year but these plants were given to me, so if I do get offered more next year I don’t think I could turn them down😂 I’ll just have to find ways of optimising temperature control👍🏾 Best of luck for me😂
