Today is Friday Nov 29th, Day 92. I'm going to get a dry weight on Lemon OG Haze #2, White Widow #2 and Super Skunk #2 tomorrow evening after work and pull/trim both Short Rider #1 and #2 either tomorrow or Monday on my day off. Just like the 2 Super Skunk plants, the 2 Short Rider plants seem to be very different from each other. Both super dank, just very different looking 🤷‍♂️ Monday will be dedicated to cleaning the autoflower area floor and walls with bleach water to remove any possible traces of thrip larvae before I transplant the next 8 auto-flowers in, that are 2 weeks old now. The photoperiods the past week i have been working on getting back to healthy plants. They had been slowly turning lighter and lighter green over the course of the last month which i didn't identify as a nitrogen deficiency until now. I flushed each of the 4 plants with 21 gallons of ph'd water and then added 2 inches of fresh compost above the soil. 2 days later i watered 1 gallon each with calmag because i also had rust spots showing up on leaves of each the past couple weeks. I gave them another round of veg nutes tonight and spread the branches out on each plant by forming a circle with these rubber coated twisty tie down things i found at the hardware and inserting it inside the outer branches. Think it worked well and spread them out helping light penetrate deeper into the plants. I also defoliated each of any leaves that were moderately affected by the calmag deficiency. It's only been a week or less since i flushed and i already feel like they are turning darker green again and rebounding. Hoping maybe another 2-3 weeks until they are big enough to switch the lights to 12/12 and start the flowering process.

Grow Questions

My Tangie photoperiods small leaves are curling upwards around the edges. Anybody have a reason for this? It's the only one of the 4 exhibiting symptoms like this and only one of my autos of the 8 did the same thing. Is it too much or too little water? Not enough airflow?

Hello KCMOR8RH8R , your girls are looking good. I looks like the tangie is a little bit short on the Nitrogen and maybe a little bit overwatered. Not really to worry about if you let it just dry out a little bit. My advice is raise your ph a little to 6.2 or 6.3 for more uptake of nitrogen for your girl. Also the temprature in daytime is maybe too high in combination with nighttime temprature. Try to aim at 23.5 degrees celcius in daytime and keep your nighttime as it is right now. Hope this was an helpfull answer my friend. Keep on growing. Peace 👍

Do i need to defoliate or is it alright for my plants to be this bushy? Just worried about airflow for the coming flowering period. If so, how do i do it? Ive heard of some people that just take off all vegetation up to a certain point in the plant

It’s okay right now. If you want you can lollipop the plant. After 2 weeks of flowering you can defoliate a little. Right now I would leave them how they are. Good luck

I've just read you're comments for this week, dont start giving them bloom.nutes until you notice the flower has stopped its pre flower strech otherwise it will not stretch - it will just start putting work into the bud sites. Other than that you're plants look great o alot LST going on! Check out what I've got going on a few different strains too!

@Bashgrowsitall1989, thanks. Yeah for sure some better growth afterwards. It's only been a few days but the photoperiods are shooting up and the half of the auto-flowers that were a week behind the others have shot up to the same size if not bigger than the other 4 now. Now these buds need to start fattening up!

@KCMOR8RH8R, Dude they are looking nice! Well done on the defoliation - have u noticed any.more growth because of it? I'd hold off it now until nearer the end otherwise you could stunt it, I tend too trim week 4 and 5 and then week 6 and 7 they just shoot up! So glad it's looking good for you my man!

Anybody know when i should give the photoperiods their first dose of bloom nutes? I plan on watering them tomorrow and they would have been due for veg nutes but i made the switch to 12/12 tonight so i don't think i need veg nutes anymore

I can't get the hang of looking through the jeweler's loupe to see the trichomes. It's a total pain in the ass. It's almost easier to just take a picture with the cellphone and zoom in, just not as magnified. From what i can tell though the trichomes on the 3 that are most mature is a weird mix. I'd say they're still 60-65% clear, 25% milky and maybe 10-15% amber. I planned on giving those 3 another week of flushing and then pulling them and letting the other 5 go another week or two depending on the plant

Ive just ordered some ladybugs. 300 of them was the smallest they sell lol but I'll prolly release a couple dozen on the auto-flowers and keep the rest in the fridge for a couple weeks in case i need another batch of them before the plants are done flowering. I'm estimating another 3 weeks for the autos with the biggest buds and another 4 weeks for the others. Hopefully the ladybugs do the trick and kill off these thrips before i harvest. I'll receive them by next Wednesday or Thursday....😫

As you can see my Tangie photoperiod, one of my super skunk autos and one of my short rider autos didn't transplant very well. They are clearly behind the other 9 plants. I'm considering them a week later than the others and I'm not sure the Short Rider one will recover because it lost one of its 2 initial leaves on the first node. I haven't given any nutes, i probably won't until they get to 6 sets of nodes. Not sure when to start lst. I didn't do that to my very first outside grow this summer. I will add more details about temp, humidity, nutes ect as i go along here in the coming weeks
