Step right up, step right up. Come one come all. Marvel at the wonders of the world that is cannabis. This is my second run at a Bloody Skunk, but hoping for the first one that is purple. Last run the temps were way too high, in and around an average of 35°C. This time a new tent is in order, down in the basement where the temperatures are much lower than the upper level of the house. It is a 4x3 and 6ft high. It's a dual chamber tent by Fusion Hut. Right now it will not be used as dual, just using that for extra space for now. New light will change all that. Main area is 3x3, so plenty of space.
Not much to say, as not much has happened, still just a little feller. I know it should be to soon to see any signs of purple, but I see some on the small leaves. I expect that to disappear very shortly though. I have some new nutrients on the way, and this will be a recipient of some bloom boosters. Peaceout Mosuckas
Very disappointed in the lack of pictures I have been taking lately. That all changes today, I will take daily pictures, to show just how its progressing. Only need to wait a few more days before I can switch him over to the new line of nutrients. This will be the first one to receive the entire lineup. Peaceout Mosuckas
After some stress, she decided it's time to start flowering. Oh well, at least this one is purple. I had finally received my order of nutrients on Oct 11th, and immediately began using them on this plant. Adjusting the dosages lower to fit the use of measuring spoons was very easy. Once I see how it affects the plants, I will adjust them higher or lower to tune the feedings. PH is reading low, but it's the exact same reading as it was before adding the nutrients. I never ph'd tap water, so I didn't bother adjusting the nutrient water. I still expect a few more inches of stretch, but I will be happy either way. I will certainly be doing another run of this very soon, but next one will be looked after a lot better. Peaceout Mosuckas
Short update this week, as I was late posting last weeks update. Missed my opportunity to give this girl some LST, but seeing as she's so short, I wouldn't have gained a whole lot more. Swapped out the Grow formula for the Bloom, and added its first dose of Carburetor, only 0.1g/L worth, as it's a powder and not a liquid...so 0.2g total for the 2L bottle. Growth is very steady, and the purple is radiating out further than before. Slight smell now, but not very pungent. Certainly looking forward to seeing it plump up. Peaceout Mosuckas
She is really starting to fill out nicely. I didn't think it was going to stretch up as much as it did, but I'm thankful for it. The spread of purple throughout the leaves is something I truly love to see, it's very deep and beautiful. I took a look at the trichomes on by curiosity. I was already checking on another plant, so I took a peak at the Skunk. Even though this one is small, I very much looking forward to growing this again. Peaceout Mosuckas
She just seems to be loving it. The purple is getting very intense, an extremely deep shade, at times it even seems black. The smell is very nice, but it keeps changing every day. Started off sour and pungent, but as it ripens, its getting sweeter. I'm not rustling it as much as I normally would on plants, practically nothing at all. Trichomes are starting to show up further out on the leaves, very impressed with its production. Peaceout Mosuckas
I've been really slacking in the photo department, I've not been home much. I fed everyone yesterday, and this is the only one that got the final drive. I will eventually work it into my other feedings when the time calls for it. The structure of the bud was disappointing at first, as it was very loose and airy between them, but then they started to really fill out and firm up. They still have a long way to go, but I am looking forward to watching this fully develope and ripen. Peaceout Mosuckas
Shouldn't be much longer now, pistels are almost all dried, only a few percentage left white. I can see the trichomes are showing a nice purple tip, looks like a grape tootsie pop. This was the first time I ever PH'd the water, and it only requires 1.5ml of PH up to bring it to roughly 6.0, as that is my target number. Looking forward to growing this again very soon, perhaps sooner than originally anticipated. Peaceout Mosuckas
I gave her one final shot of nutrients at the beginning of the week, but have started flushing with water. The plan is to harvest at the end of the week, if I can hold off until then. I have decided to add a Bloody Skunk into my other tent, so keep an eye out for that one, its sure to be a beauty. Peaceout Mosuckas
While it's not quite as strong as I'd like, but it certainly works. I can smoke some, then go about my day. I'm not feeling that high, but I feel good. Definitely on the sativa side. I will give it another go very soon.
While it was little, it was fun. Overall not worth the time, but I wasn't looking for massive yields just yet. I've got 4 seeds left, 1 will e under a Mars Hydro TS-1000, and 1 will be under a 315w CMH, so keep an eye out for those. Peaceout Mosuckas
@huntz4200, hey there. I'm considering this runt my own fault, pretty sure I stunted it with a lack of water early on, I'm very bad for getting them dry out too much, and for too long. Really need to work on that. I've grown one other before, and it was huge. The temperature was way too high for it to turn purple, sitting in the mid 30's during the summer. New light though, so hopefully this summer is better. My friend had just grown and harvested his bloody skunk, his was very large and beautiful, 40g's dry I believe. Feel free to check it out, if you haven't already. He goes by @Critmann. He has more experience, but I have more room to grow. Once this tent is finished, flipping it into another photoperiod tent. Peaceout Mosucka
Wow that's just one fat bud...! How did you get an auto to grow like that.? I've photoperiods grown like that using the 12/12 method from start to finish but this is an auto... Hum🤔
@GeOMaTTiC, It may have been a problem with humidity. 😐
When there is a slightly high temperature and there is humidity, this can affect negatively.
Now, try not to have the soil too wet.
Sweet smokes!

@Sweet_Seeds, No sir, no direct sowing. Placed in water for 36 hrs, or less if seed already split. Then placed in paper towel on a plate. Put plate on foam pad, then put pad on seedling heating mat. Roots had all started to emerge, but stopped sprouting after the taproot was 1-2cm. 3 for 3 on Bloody Skunk, with breeding date of early 2019. Sweet Cheese breeding date was early 2018. Still have 4 more to go, so I still have chance for success.
@GeOMaTTiC, scroll through half of finished grows and you will question results more often than no ;)))
Anyway, some girls grow like this, had girls in 20g+ area, had 150, all in same grow, sometimes some strains rewards us with one, but very solid nug ;)
@EZgrower, oh yeah. She is filling out nicely, I for sure thought it was going to end up smaller. Still far from expectations, but I can live with that. Planning on running another one of these very soon. Peaceout Mosucka
For the next harvest, use a pot of greater capacity. Surely, you will get better results!
One tip, try not to keep the soil very wet. Also, prevents the pot plate containing water. 😉
Good luck!
