Hello Diary. We have come to the first week of flowering. The more interesting part of the whole cycle begins. My Haze's are developing well, each in its own way :). The only thing that bothers me is the flowers, which look kinda dry and the leaves thin and rounded. I do not know if it is due to lack of humidity in the air or insufficient watering. Although I think I am watering more, I obviously need more. I also made my first little defoliation this week, but let's start from the beginning. 21/11/2019. Day 22. I changed the light mode, 20 hours light, 4 hours dark. 23/11/2019. Day 24. Watering. I started adding Bio-Bloom, Top-Max and Alg-a-Mic from BioBizz, 1 ml / L. Each plant received about 2l of water. 24/11/2019. Day 25. I photographed plants, I love when the day of photography comes. After that I made the first Defoliation on Haze # 2 and # 3. I didn't dare to do too much, I probably should have, but I did like this so I'll see what happens. Other times I'll do better. I also measured the height of the plants. Royal Haze # 1 - 62cm Royal Haze # 2 - 44cm Royal Haze # 3 - 30cm 25/11/2019. Day 26. Watering. I added the full range of BioBizz as I did two days earlier. Also, each plant received about 2l of water. 27/11/2019. Day 28. Photographing and Watering. This time I only watered with water, with no nutrients added. I regulate water every time with BioBizz Ph-. The pH of the water I water with is always 6.3 or 6.2. The initial value before lowering the PH is about 8. Royal Haze # 1 - 71cm - Although it is the leanest and tallest, it develops nicely and I hope it does not grow too tall. At the top of the plant, I also see that the leaves are somehow curved and thin? I do not believe it is due to the light being too bright. Royal Haze # 2 - 54cm - He woke up a bit. It seemed to me to grow much slower than Haze # 1. But its branches are much denser, so I made defoliation on it, but only removed the lowest leaves. Royal Haze # 3 - 37cm - I can definitely say that defoliation helped him. It was almost impossible to water how thick the branches were at the bottom of the plant. So I removed the same leaves at the bottom of the plant. But it still looks like a bush. I don't have the experience yet enough for better defoliation. I will simply learn from my own actions. The conclusion at the end of the week is that for now everything is going well. I need to water the plants more often, literally every other day. I'll have to look a little better at those flowers and see what causes the leaves to rotate on the flowers. See you next week.

Do you have any watering tips? No way to find out what is the best way. Do I initially water with less water but more often or soak the whole pot? Someone who has experience with airpots?

Hi iam using Airpots for around 18 months now.Its alitle tricky in the begnning until you are used to handle them. in the beginning just small amounts around the plant...Dont need to saturate the whole soil... if the plant is really big and needs big amounts of water.. you have to be patientwith the watering. If you have to give your plant 1l then do it in small steps. And dont let dry out the airpots to much , then its vry difficult to water them. I do it like this ( big plant) i water daily... and one time in the week i take the airpot, put it into my bathtub and give her slowly big amounts of lukewarm water , until all soil is saturated. Then let them stand for 1-2 hours and take them back to growroom. Use apot under the airpot too, so you are fine and dont mess to much water. Its akinda training but after the grow you are used to. Airpots are just great. They are doing the" aircut" on the roots... roots want to grow out of the holes, then they notice ... oh here is no way,,, they turn around and webbing in the pot.. so in the end your airpot is full of a nice rootsystem very webbed.. you know more roots more fruits......hope i answered if more questions to come just ask

They are looking gorgeous. But as others already recommended: Don't overdo it with defoliation! The leaves are the power plants of your ladies, if you remove too much they need to waste energy on reproducing them. Only remove leaves during flower that are shadowing buds. But looking really great!

@Buddha2, the way the plants reacted to defoliation, I would say it is good for them. I honestly didn't know that automatics were not good at defoliation, but in the end everything turned out to be good.

@Buddha2,i think he did a great job.. although defoliation is always a tabu especially with autoflowers .. but if you have healthy plants and now the right time to do it then you are on point with very small stress period..
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimarcommentedweek 55 years ago
and they stretched a lot. normally no need to make so much defoilation on a automatic.. it slows her down......
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimarcommented5 years ago
@ButterfliesLittleFarm,well it looks like the plant handles it well... its a vigor strain.... normally you just put away smll shoots and take away disturbing leaves... because the life span is so short for automatics.. and everything you take away, she tries to reproduce,,,, I did it on the Cookies automatic too... she had no problem with that.. and the Haze Ladies look the same they just need longer to build buds then

@Buddha2, in fact, I'm a videographer, but I have a camera and lenses that I use to photograph plants. But I don't do photography other than for these purposes :).

@Mrs_Larimar, I'm a videographer so i have a sony camera and I use a 35mm lens for wider photos and a canon lens 100mm macro for large photos. I do an edit in a photoshop and that's it. but otherwise I am not engaged in photography except for these purposes. and i really enjoy it.

In the beginning its alittle tricky with the airpots, but you are going to get used to. an overwatering is nearly impossible. Watch your plants , and give them once in the week a nice soilsaturating shower ( in later stage)
