After what as it seems was bad luck started again with a smoothie auto. Germed on 5.11.2109 and today into the Gemini System. The setup is the same, lights mars hydro reflector 144, and the plant it gemini system. First week 10.112019 - 17.11.2019 and hopefully not anything else bad happens. For this week I ll have the lights on 24/7.
Week 2, 17/11/2019 - 24/11/2019. got bit of wind burn, so moved the fan bit further and think that everything will be ok. Doubled her size since last week and the leaves started already smelling. Update 19/11/2019 - Moved the fan bit further and raised the lights about 5 cm and she's back eating and growing :)
Week 3, 24/11/2019 - 1/12/2019, recovered from wind burn and started eating crazy since the beginning of the week. Still no smells, but if the leaves are touched there is a fruity smell.
Week 4, 1.12.2019 - 8.12.2019, had some issues last week due to some mix up with the nutes (hafl amount of cal/mag) and caused a bit of stress but since the problem was corrected everything got back on track, Will post more pics during the week.
Week 5, 8/12/2019 - 15/12/2019, cant say that everything is ok, although ph is within range (max 6,6) and not much nutes used, seems like she is not getting enough cal mag. Did the res change today so will wait and see.
Week 6, 15/12/2019 - 22/12/2019, still got some issues related with cal mag imo. Increased to the max dosage of AN cal mag and will wait to see how things will go.
Week 7, 22/12/2019 - 29/12/2019, still have issues regarding Cal Mag, flashed with h202 for one day and now reduced the nute strength. I used the max recommended dosage of Cal Mag since that where the problem seems to be. Ph ranges between 6,2 - 6,8 max.
Week 8 29/12/2019 - 5/1/2020, the last week she started to eat like crazy about 2-3 litres per day, she reached 85 cm and we are full into blooming. Cal mag issues passed after the two flashes with H2O2 so I think all are back to track. S
Week 9, 5/1/2020 - 12/1/2020, well into flowering, trics everywhere, changed to a bigger carbon filter due to intense smell and everything goes as planned. :)
Week 10, 12/1/2020 - 19/1/2020, she s full into blooming, buds have started fattening, are covered with glittering trichs, and the odours are fantastic.
Week 11, 19/1/2020 - 26/1/2020, buds keep fattening, smells are awesome, although a large carbon filter used still there are some awesome smells. Hopefully there will be a harvest in two weeks time.
Week 12, 26/1/2020 - 2/2/2020, almost finished 50% - 60% of pistils have turned orange, buds have a purple shade, checked the trics and are cloudy, and the smell is exotic and awesome. This will be her last week with nutrients, next weekend will check trics again and probably will start cleaning, so she will be harvested on 9/2/2020.
As you can see during the first 4 - 5 weeks I faced some serious Cal Mag deficiencies that made me believe it was root rot, since I was not overfeeding and the ph was in the proper range. It was a bit of a troubling strain and I think it is not for beginners. On the other hand it is a very potent strain I think. Have not tested any bud yet but smoked some thc gathered from the latex gloves we used for the harvest and it was mind blowing in terms of high and taste. The buds are curing for over a month now, and I have been smoking it for a couple of weeks now. The high is instant and intense, which is something I like, the smell is great when I open the vases and when I grind buds.
Harvested last night on 1.2.2020, I would really love to be able to upload the smells. The wet bud weight is 740 grams (no sticks, leaves trimmed), which I think will result in about 150,00 - 180,00 grams of dried bud. As soon as the buds are ready to get into the vases I will update the dry weight. Update - 25/2/2020, its been about 2 week we reached 62% and there are some exotic and mellow smells but i think it will improve. The high is strong full stop. :) Its my cup of tea so I am really satisfied.
I grow Smoothie too and i think she has problems with more than 18 hours of light. My leaves look more fucked then yours but it looks familiar. I hope i have enough leaves left to finish the grow. Good look and happy harvest.
@@ShotGunBob, hello Bob, untill week 6 I wasn't sure if I was going to keep her. If you check this diary at week 4-5-6 you ll see that she looked like she had cal mag issues. Although ph was at the right range, and the dosage was the max recommended by AN. I would suggest (at least its what I did and worked) a flash with H2O2 and then start again slowly to increase the nutes.
