I've tried to grow autos twice before and failed miserably. This is my last try! I have 3 Fastbuds Zkittlez autoflowers, plus 5 feminized Transformers from Gage Green Group, and one Grapefruit fem freebie seed that's gotten a jump on them all. Learning from past mistakes - I had used a 600w LED light after germination which burnt my little seedlings to a crisp. This time I'm working with two 9w LED grow lights with reflective "saucers" behind them to gently bring my seedlings to life. I also started all seeds in a small Jiffy pot greenhouse in the dark, which I was pleasantly surprised to find, termed 90% of my seeds within 24 hours which is faster than other methods I've tried. Looking forward to getting this journey going!

This week I got a brand new grow light, the Mars TS1000. In the first couple of days I had to play with the height of light to plant ratio and unfortunately it looks like I ended up burning a few leaf tips before I figured out the sweet spot. The Mars TS1000 is dimmable but you need to put a screwdriver in a random hole on top to change the light intensity so that also took a little while to figure out. Anyway, as of now we have 7 healthy seedlings after sprouting 9, and I'm excited to see where they to from here! Any tips or questions LMK, happy growing all!

This week it looks like everyone is progressing nicely! Transplanted three of the Transformers last night into SmartPots and this morning everyone looks happy. Having some trouble with the Zkittlez autoflower canoeing. Also popping a couple Seedsman Northern Lights autos in case the Zkittlez eventually craps out on me. I've seen others have this problem with fastbuds Zkittlez before, just need to figure out the solution. Any tips are welcome! Happy growing!

I am having trouble with my Fastbuds Zkittlez Auto, the leaves are canoeing downward and the coloration of the leaves is inconsistent as you can see from the photo. I haven't been overwatering it and all my other plants aren't doing this. Any suggestions?

Too much water and the roots are rotten now. The others are more resistant to overwatering than this one. Do you have a hole in the bottom of your pot to drain the excess of water ? If not then it's the problem. You can try to transplant into a bigger pot with a dry medium , I know that it's not ideal to transplant auto but I also know it's not ideal to let a plant die without trying something

hey there growmie, sometimes when excess moisture is retained in the medium you get some kinda water mold that causes root problems that causes these symptoms. mostly it's due to the fact the medium gets compressed or something so it retains water better towards the middle of the pot which is unfortunately where the main root stem is gonna want to live. Fix is by breaking down the problem roots using a chelation agent like enzymes, beneficial bacteria , or humic acid. add this and the plant should fully recover in 10 days or so. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Everyone is doing pretty well this week. Transplanted the Grapefruit to its final smart pot and it took a day or two to get used to it's new home. The Zkittlez autoflower has continued to vex me but I flushed it and backed off on watering too much and the new growth, while oddly bright green, seems like it isnt canoeing like the older leaves. Otherwise I started feeding these guys some Fox Farm.Grow Big 1x/wk and I went a bit heavy the first week, so definitely going to dilute that going forward. 12/9 ETA I topped the waxy tall Transformer yesterday because it was growing way too tall relative to the others and the huge canopy was blocking any light from the lower branches. Too early to tell this morning but seems like its helping. This weekend I also did some selective pruning and adjusted my soil ph on a few plants who were showing stress (see new growth on Zkittlez above). FF Bush Doctor Boomerang definitely helped get some of those secondary nutes to feed those who needed help. Fingers crossed for continued smooth sailing 🌿

Flipped to 12/12 last night. Got a 2nd Mars Hydro TS1000 so that should help get the stretch and flowering off to a good start! This week I started noticing bites on some leaves so time to implement a lil IPM.

This week I started noticing bites on some leaves so time to implement a lil IPM. 12/23 - eta that I caged several plants last night to help em stretch and get light and air under the canopies. As of this morning things look like they are working. Switched all the laydees to grow nutes this week and they seem pleased with that as well. Til next time! Happy growing and happy holidays!

This was the critical week 2-3 of flowering when I've had things go wrong before, so I was vigilant this week. Transformer 5 keeps flowering as though it was an autoflower and my Zkittlez auto has yet to flower, although it appears to be on the cusp. Did notice some webbing and bites on leaves lately so sprayed my ladies with Neem before bed. Happy new year everyone, happy growing!

This was week 8 has begun! This garden has been a true pleasure so far. Transformer 5 looks like it's going to be finished within the next 2 weeks or so, which will make for a nice appetizer for the rest of the harvest! Zkittlez is finally starting to flower and is slowly getting less yellow green, so it seems like its fixing itself? Frustrating that I don't have control over its flowering cycle like with the photoperiods, but you live and learn! Everyone else is looking great, grapefruit is really starting to flower all up and down each stem, which should make for a pretty great yield, I hope! Transformer 4 comes in at #1 in terms of overall beastmodeness, it's up to 21 inches and just beginning flowering. Expecting great things from this crop:D

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks so much for your input! I ended up transplanting the Zkittlez to a larger smart pot and the roots didnt look sick, but I did find the soil ph was around 7.5 which seemed to bring out some secondary nute uptake problems. I adjusted the soil ph yesterday, gave it some more nutes, and this morning it does seem happier! Thanks again, happy growing 👍🌱
