Day 8. Zkittlez autoflower from Fastbuds. First go at autoflowers here I come! All seeds were simply soaked for 24 hours then placed in there final home to continue to germinate, all four sprouted in 3 days. I had no duds which is first for me. They had temps around 27 and humidity around 70 for the first week and watered 300-500ml ph 6.1 water with 1 ml of nutes listed above. Ppm 175. Lights 20-4 around 300PAR on day 7. All look healthy. some slight adjustments in my tent for these with smaller pots about being the only difference. a Also it’s winter now, so this grow tent will be sealed off completely with only exhale Co2 bags, oscillating fan, 400watt heater, dehumidifier and humidifier. See how it go’s. Also want to give a detailed list of my set up and what it involves. 3x3x6 vivosun tent 2 600watt LED aglex cob series lights. (Actual wattage only 240!) 30 pint dehumidifier 400 watt ceramic heater Oscillating fans Inkibird humidity and temperature controller. Light timers 2 exhale Co2 bags (365 and a XL one) PH pen Ppm pen Wet+dry vacuum for runoff. 7 gallon fabric pots filed in half to make 3 gallon. Kryptonite living soil. Technaflora nutrients Syringe for measuring nutrients Root farm ph up and down and test kit. Round up 7.6 litre pump sprayer for watering. Scrog already in place just trellis netting cut to size and adjustable zipties to hold it there. Have vents, not using them this grow. Wish list - PAR meter PPM meter for tent. That’s it y’all see you next week for some more sugar baby.

Day 14. First autoflowers. Zkittlez. There growing, temp is 27, lights 20-4, roughly 400 PAR, taking 1L of water and light nutrients at this point. RH%65, I have two exhale Co2 bags going to add a third this week as I’m doing this grow with no vents. Well these girls look about a week behind from my eyes, I can only pin point a couple issues it might be, one my 3 gallon pots that are about 8 inches deep and 16 inches wide so it may not be deep enough, sorta stunting growth wanted to experiment with a wide root structure instead of deep. Or problem two is a lack of vents is making my Co2 levels low, will be adding another exhale Co2 bag this week, bc they look healthy just small. Or these first autos I’m growing are doing great and I’m just being impatient lol. Till next week y’all

First autoflowers. They are on day 14. I think they look small. Can a super wide pot hinder growth? I have 8 inch deep 16 inch wide 3 gallon pots. Or Co2 levels are low in the tent causing small growth.

I was looking through your Diary and i only see good things. It looks well prepared . Girls looking well too. Its the best to give automatic plants directly into the fina pot. In my opinion they look great for day 21....... The only thing to get much faster plants is to change the genetics.

Day 22. First autoflowers. Zkittlez. Temp is 26, RH60%. 3 gallon wide fabric pots. Just watered with 2 litres which gave me a tiny bit of run off, it’s there first full watering. Water ph was 6.4 and ppm was 470 which is pushing the limit but they seem to love it. Running two exhale Co2 bags and no vents as it’s winter and need to keep heat in. I think Co2 is plentiful now with the second exhale bag added this week. Plants 1-3 look the same but have a fat leafed phenotype of some sort plant #4. Expecting big stretch this coming week. These girls really picked up the pace the last few days. I pushed my lights too 24 inches and started seeing some canoeing but I think it’s from my ceramic heater blowing to much hot air rising the leaf temps, it’s only on the plant closest to the heater also. So I will back off the heater to higher height and see if it can handle the light like the other 3. There starting to show some preflower as well prob one more week of beg nutes and I’ll flush and start with bloom. Feel free to leave any tips y’all . Thanks for popping till next week.

Week 4! Day 28 for these girls. Autoflowers, first try at em. Sorry abit late on this week as work has been steady rip. Will post week 5 pics in couple days to catch up. Temp 30. Par roughly 550( no light meter yet) RH 60%. 3 gallon pots . Water ph 6-6.4 . Ppm 575 , heavy dose of veg nutes for the final week of vegetation they all responded very well. 2 l water every 2-3 days. 2 exhale Co2 bags. Wide based pots . Scrog in place. Very impressed with growth over last week, after adding an addition Co2 bag and raising temps to 30 I’ve seen a huge growth spurt, there at 16 inches in these pictures, one plant suffered slight burn as it stretched over 5 inches in a 24 hour period which caught me off guard. Shouldn’t do to much damage. Using a scrog this grow so I don’t have to defoliate, working very well I highly recommend it I can easily tuck fan leaves away exposing all bud sites and also give a flatter canopy. I only trained 2 of the plants main tops and left the other two naturally stretch, as I thought it didn’t matter autos have a mind of there own. All different heights and stretches lol. I have wood I place to lower pots so that will help even my canopy out. I also raisied temps once I added Co2 to try and get some big growth I really think it’s working because week 5 is gonna be a doozy y’all, so stay tuned.

Do you recommend defoliation on any main fan leaves that are hurting you light penetration and simply cannot be trained in a different place specifically on auto flowers ?

If the leafs are hurting your light penetration I should cut them off. I only cut the leafs on the main stem if I cut my autoflowers. Good luck

Day 35. Zkittlez Autoflowers. First try at em. Week 5 complete. Stretch was done 2 days ago on all plants. Tallest 23inches. Temp 27 night 25. Lights- par guessing is around 500. 2x600watt leds, 25 inches away from top colas, they will experience light burn at 22inches you can see one of my plants looks dark green and tips are burnt as it caught me off guard With stretch. Need a PAR meter lol. Co2 I believe is slightly elevated using two exhale Co2 bags, one XL and one 365. This grow has been sealed off I have no vented air going in or out and these are doing the trick. Highly recommend. I still want a Co2 meters too lol. Humidity is at 55% will get it below 50 when I get deeper in budding stage, from what I’ve noticed I think autos like a little more humidity then regular photo periods, I’d have my photos under 45% at this point in there flower stage. 3 gallon fabric pots, not deep but very wide. Probably won’t use these again as I feel when you need to move the pot the dirt doesn’t stay in one spot, it moves the whole medium around, now I’m no expert but that has to stress the roots out almost as there whole world shifts from under them. I feel with firm plastic pots I can move them around a lot easier. Although it’s almost impossible to over water with these pots very difficult the air out beautifully. Organic kryptonite soil, pictures of ingredients in week one I do believe. I really feel like this soil is super forgiving for new growers it’s microbe activity seems to always bounce back if you happened to give a little bit too much nutrients or the ph is slightly off. Highly recommend. You’d want to go with 50/50 mix with or light nutrient soil and kryptonite soil for autoflowers as I don’t think they need the full medium of it. Watering and Technaflora nutrients, recipe for success. Listed above. There drinking about 2G every 2-3 days, Ph is 6.1 and I’m really pushing the nutrients with these suckers, I’ve switched to bloom nutes after a mini flush of the veg nutes and my first feeding I blasted them with 675 ppms of bloom nutes, and they’ve responded well. Only one plant looks a little dark green but I do believe it’s from light burn not anything else, just looks a little stressed. I’ve also been adding sugar daddy to almost everyone of my waterings to they can keep munching up that food. Training methods is just a scrog with adjustable zipties on all four poles. It’s made it really easy to tuck all the fan leaves away from bud sites giving the clear paths the the light 💡, canopy is slightly more uneven then I hoped, the two plants on the left are 3 inches taller and about a week behind the plants on the right. It’s all a learning curve I know for next time I’m going to wanna train these plants earlier, maybe around week two instead of 3, will make it work. Getting cold here now, can be anywhere from 0 to -25 from day to day, I’ve sealed off my tent which is in my cellar, no vents in or out. Just Co2 bags. Wasn’t overly sure if it was going to work but it seems to be all working out. Hope you enjoy the information. Till next week, sorry for the grammar I’m just a fisherman and English isn’t my forte lol

Week six, day 43. Zkittlez auto flower. Lights 20-4 PAR roughly 500(no meter yet). 2 exhale Co2 bags, no vents only oscillating fans. 3 gallon fabric pots with organic soil mix. Watering 2.5L every 2-3 days, PH 6.1 ppm 740, really pushing the nutrients this week will see how it go’s. Technaflora bloom nutrients is what I’m using. Temperature is around 25-27. RH 45-55%. Using a scrog to tuck fan leaves and shape canopy , it’s ok but these autoflowers are hard to control lol. I have a sick plant. Any information on this would be great, he’s been weak from the start, he had two weird fan leaves. Then he was the only one to suffer light burn out of the plants, then finally he’s taking on some type of rust fungus? It’s not on any other plant except this one, this pot is the only one on the ground no elevation underneath of it, could it be root rot? Also furthest away from the oscillation fan. Either way he’s still producing some bud I’ll probably grow it out to the end, he’s about a week ahead of the rest though. Pictures above ,

Day 50. Zkittlez autoflower. First try at autoflowers. Day 50, day 56 from seeds. However ya wanna count. Lights 20 hours hopefully PAR around 600. Two 600 watt led lights about 23 inches from the plant. 3 gallon fabric pots with organic soil, lots of perlite, will not use again want a solid structure pot it’s easier to move and doesn’t dry as quick. Co2 seems good with 2 exhale Co2 bags, one 365 bag and one XL bag in a 3x3 tent. Running no exhaust this grow just oscillation fans and I think my tent went a little stale on the right side, as the plants are smaller and one got sick, unsure if it was due to airflow or genetics. Technaflora nutrients seem to be working good, I think I just need to fine tune some other factors before I blame nutrients with my somewhat smaller buds then expected on autoflowers. Using a scrog this grow works really well I haven’t had to defoliate much because I can just tuck fan leaves, will train the tops of the autos more next grow was just a little tentative on my first go at them and the honestly stretched way quicker then I expected, caught me off guard so I just let em stretch up for the most part. Smells nice and fruity in my tent as described by this strain , I would say two of my plants are ready to harvest in the next 7-8 days and the other two maybe closer to 14. I have a rusty plant as you can see in phots not sure what it’s from , he’s producing bud so I’m gonna let him fiendish but he’s some wild looking lol my guess it root rot of some sort... Temps 23 dropped a little from the normal 25-27 to get some more Defense mechanisms producing on the plants. Also RH is 40-45% hits 50 after I water. WAtering 3 litres every 2-3 days, ppm 600 ph6. Will cut off nutrients this week and just load them with sugar daddy nutrients to get then to chew up what they have left in there mediums then I’ll flush them out. Sorry for my crappy pictures

Week 8. Zkittlez auto flower . Day 58 Last week before harvest week. Dropped humidity to 35% and temp to 21 in hopes to see some crystal development and it worked, very frosty plants. Flushed with 8l ph 6.2 and ppm 150 of sugar daddy only from technaflora nutrients. Run off was 250 ppm and ph. 6.2. Gonna let them dry out for 4-5 days let em soak up the last of the nutrients. Trimmed few fan leaves daily to help with light penetration, really wish these bids fattened out more but oh well, need less nitrogen and leaf development next grow. Deeper mediums maybe.

Final week: temp 20 , lights 20 hours, Par 400 slacked them off to increase stress slightly and trichomes development, RH 37%, (recommend crystal poured on once I dropped it) flushed 12 days before harvest. Water ph 6.2 . Ppm 150, sugar daddy carbohydrates was used highly recommend the smell increased tremendously after I fed them a full dose of this stuff. Runoff ppm 250 ph 6.2, water temp was bit colder then usual also. Harvest , went with a full plant cut this time, for slower dry hopefully and easier lol. I simply rose my scrog and made sure heat and fans aren’t directly on my weed, and gun them upside down after trimming just the big fan leafs off. Temp is 20 and RH is 50% , lights are off. Trimmed and put in jars after 5 days and they were reading a humidity level of 72% so I will just burp the jars for couple hours daily until I achieve 60 ish percent. As for my first over all auto flower grow is was a challenge, I am definitely excited to try them again and hopefully have a little more bud development because I didn’t have the time to train these properly and the lower bud sites are rather light and I want dense this buds. I will really benefit from a PAR meter and co2 meter next grow that’s the last variables I need to perfect. . I hope y’all enjoyed this diary seeyou in a couple months. -Sir Dill

Rusty plant is pictures , started off green then slowly turned orange then yellow on fan leaves only, not sure if it was genetics or if it was something I did, still produced good bud. Any ideas of what caused the leaves to get rusty looking them turn completely yellow?
