So the ladies were in full dark for about 36hrs when the lights came back on Mon., Nov. 25th. and when I got home from work that evening they all got their first taste of the flower nutes. 1 gal. ea. More of the same on Wed., the 27th.
Thurs., the 28th it was time for an overdue defoliation. Should have been done at the beginning of the week. I think the overgrowth was stunting the Pineapple and the Cheese. More teh Cheese than Pineapple. The uppermost branches of the Cheese look dwarfed. weird, not like the last grow.
...nothing stops the Critical. I've said it before, I'm sure I'll say it again for as long as I have seeds to grow of it; That Critical Kush is just a beautiful beast of a plant to grow.
While I didn't take any pictures immediately before or after the defoliation, you can see the difference in the pics from the beginning of the week and the end of the week.
Again, the ladies don't seem to drink down as much towards the end of the week. They were skipped 2 days again, and they were fed 1 gal. ea. of nutes on Sat., the 30th.
Some how I managed to miss measuring the Pineapple at the end of the week. @#$%&!
11/30 - Critical Kush - 21"
11/30 - Triple Cheese - 17.25"
Nice job! Do you thinking about use scrog? At my second time growing I used scrog and It was very good I think, but I'm thinking about make like you. Why you don't have big leaves? I have a lot of these.. Take a look on my diary if u can, what do you think?I used cyco, and barney's farm seeds too haha, Thanks!
@Kreewl, thank you. 😀 Yes, I have been thinking of trying scrog but I wanted to compare my 1st grow and 2nd grow with only a little bit of change to see where I made improvements and how much it would help.
I took my big fan leaves off so the light can get thru and for better air flow.
@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, Thanks Dude! Even from my limited experience with them, I would definitely recommend the 2 strains I have grown from @Barneys...and hopefully will be expanding the recommendation to 3 strains grown. 😁
@BIGBUDZ450, It wasn't a conscious choice. I would have been happy with just the 24 hrs of dark but this' just the way it worked out...my timer shuts off @ 9pm...24 hrs would have turned them back on @ 9pm, which is "off" time.
Looking good. How do you think your fimming went? I just did mine yesterday for the first time on a plant from seed. I think I may have topped a couple instead of fim.
Thanks @MountainBudz, much appreciated.
I think the FIMming went well. The vertical growth slowed giving the rest of the branches to catch up to the rest of the plant(s) and now they're getting some nice growth on the main branch again. I guess I'll really get to see how well it went when I switch them to Flower at the end of the week.
