Female Durban Poison was pollinated by Male Pure Power Plant around week 3 of flower. You can tell that the Durban Poison focused on making seeds instead of fattening up buds. Nigh and day difference compared to my non pollinated Durban Poison.
I got a decent amount of mature seeds (9 grams) that I will run again. Pheno hunting will begin and stabilize the strain. Might even try to get some purple in there for bag appeal. So much more work to put in but definitely worth it to make a new generation strain in the end.
@GardenOfHerbs, #2 looks like a male to me, #1 I'm not too sure though but leaning towards male. It's too bad but I got some Durban poison growing that I can probably cross it with ๐
@Short_N_stockY, Heck yeah! Well it looks really good and you can tell your plants are loving it too! Im eventually going to spend money on upgrades to system, but alas, I am not as good with financials as I am loving my Ladies lol ๐
@diamondtrichomes, @underfunded, Thanks! I just picked up "The Cannabis Breeder's Bible" by Greg Green. I'm a few chapters in but has great information and easy to read. I suggest picking up a copy if you want to learn a little bit more than just crossing strains and getting F1 seeds.
Your grow is looking killer. Stocky and healthy. I just ordered some recharge and would be interested to here how you have incorporated this product into your feeding regimen. Thanks in advance. - Zannabis7
@Short_N_stockY, This is good to know. Thanks for sharing your insights. I will certainly look into your other grow. Best wishes on the remainder of your grows - Zannabis7
@Zannabis7, I just started using recharge this cycle. So far, i've seen explosive growth after each use during veg. I alternate nutrients and microbes during watering. Ended up cutting back on the Fox Farms Trio due to nute burn. Check out my other diary to see the Real Growers Recharge result.
@diamondtrichomes, it would be nice to get it lab tested and see the numbers. Maybe someday I can stabilize the strain for high THCV. I just followed you on IG, keep in touch ๐
@DabCrab, I never liked the idea of chopping down males. Itโs my first cross and deffinately wont be my last. Just picked up a book on breeding and hoping to someday stabilize a solid strain.
