Positives: She handled an accidental topping just fine and appeared to suffer zero negative side effects. There were also no apparent side effects from the defoliation at any point in the cycle. The trichome production was on point. I love the spun sugar look on all the pistils. The smell so far is already delicious, getting some berry and sugar. So true to the name, it smells like a delicious bubble gum. Fingers crossed for the taste! We are looking forward to trying this out on the first day of cure. Because we vape, trying it right after dry won't be an issue. The overall ease of growth with this strain was very pleasing. I did feel like flowering took longer than it should have based on what I was seeing out in the world. But I don't hold that against the Breeder. They are approximating howl long the growth cycle should be with their own unique conditions. That didn't make the plant any less easy to grow. What I was surprised with the most was how much undergrowth there was at the base of the plant. Areas that shouldn't have amounted to anything amounted to this crazy smashed wreck of flowers. She has a lovely color and smell so far. Negatives: If you hit this too hard, you will be heavy. Take it slow and easy, enjoy the relaxation and elevated mood. Miscellaneous: Top development was intersting. I didn't know if I would get these huge stacks, or big golf balls. I think we got some golf balls and soft balls. Nice no matter what we call them. Medical: If you have hypersalivation we think that this would be a good strain to help wiht that. It feels like the saliva glands start to constrict to the point where you mouth is slightly foamy and has a metalic taste. No matter how much water you drink it is like WHOA. I would suggest having some throat drops around for this strain. We also feel like if you have depression, this strain can help ease that with the way it relaxes the body and uplifts the mind. We suffer from different types of depression, and after having vaped this flower more than once we both agree that it help lift our moods and combat the effects of depression. Because of how heavy this could make you, we think that if you have pain and depression a decent session should have you feeling plenty ready for bed and sleep. Just brush your teeth earlier than later.

Finally, 12 weeks later! We are all done with the grow for this season. Breeder says that this plant should be ready around 9 weeks, for where we wanted the amber in the trichomes to be, it meant 12 weeks. Started the flush at the end of Week 9 and got a nice amount of fade. I didn't expect to see so much purple come through, so that was a nice surprise. The wet weight of the entire harvest was 21.4 ounces. That is the flowers and their branches. We are estimating at 75% loss in total weight, this means flower weight combined with stem/branch weight. Those estimates are projecting a final dry weight of 5.35 ounces. If that is true or even close to it, give or take 1.5 ounces on the negative, then this light was on point for projections. I estimated the light to produce about 5ounces of viable material. The data used for the calculations were based on the numbers provided by Optic LED for their Optic 1 (54W) and Optic 1XL (100W). Those lights are estimated to yield 3.5 ounces and 7 ounces each. This light from RAPID LED uses the same driver and a 75W variant of the CREE CXB3590. *Update* So the plant has fully dried, maybe a little too much, but it's cool. 3.2 ounces on the scale for the flower. 0.8 ounces on the scale for the trim. 4 ounces of total viable plant medicine. The trim is going to be ran through an Ardent Lift Decarboxylator to activate all the THC, then it will be ran through the Ardent Lift again with some grape seed oil to infuse it to the oil. That oil will be used for capsules and mixed into coffee. The flower will be vaporized exclusively, no combustion for us. The best part about vaping the flower is that we can then save the AVB (Already Vaped Bud) to make more oil for infusion. It will be ran through a french press also to help clean it for taste. For anyone that has made oil with decarbed flower, I'm sure you know what I mean about the taste, like a bad oil used for frying. In regards to the total dry weight versus what we were hoping for, not upset at all. The grow came out as a success built upon the lessons of the previous season. I'm still confident that the light is capable of growing 5 ounces, it is just a matter of figuring out how to get there. All that growth that was at the base of the plant did not help. That was an unknown amount of energy being diverted to flowers that couldn't even be used. The lesson learned was to defoliate a little more. I think that if that growth had been able to develop it wouldn't have been a problem, but it was hidden for a long time. Thumbs up to Nirvana for the genetics. 👍

@Denzul, Thank you for your kind words. The name came from the fact my wife complained about me always needing more fans. For the PC's to the apartment, to the grow boxes before we got this tent. I kept trying to get more fans for this or that reason. Then I thought that it would be appropriate for an avatar name.

I'm really glad to see you've taken some improvements to this season, from last season. Not that last season wasn't impressive, but now you kind of know what your limits are for your setup and you've got that dialed in pretty well now! I can see next season already...🤤 Keep up the good work! As always I'll be following along !

@KCChiefers, thank you. I would say that the set up is pretty well dialed in right now. I think I can see next season also, but I don't want to jinx it. I'm thinking about trying some ponytailing next season to see how that changes things. I guess I want to know if I can get some type of cross between the traditional cannabis plant shape and a broccoli crown shape.

She doesn't look bothered one bit! I'll tell you, using your 3 finger technique I've been able to manage a more even canopy. Not as pretty as yours but baby steps 😅 Excited to see what this season brings for you guys!

@KCChiefers, no she doesn't look bothered, which is nice. I'm glad you are having success with the three-finger technique. It's really useful to prep the plants for wires and stakes. Baby steps are right man, I've been working to get where I'm at every season when it comes to LST. This is the best go yet because I keep trying to improve on what I learned from the last go. So as long as you keep at it, thinking about what you liked/worked versus what you didn't, you'll be training like this in no time at all.

@KCChiefers, she is growing nicely. She will start LST soon. Comparison photos are good to show your progress and see what is changing for the better or worse. Even if you don't share them on here, you should do it for yourself.

@NeedsMoreFans, yeah I'll definitely be curious to see how it turns out. Sounds like it's got the same profile as my Bubblegum genetics so we'll see. Everything's looking great so far!

@KCChiefers, going to try some Sweet Seeds Black Jack Auto again. Now that we have a better idea on this set up, we want to improve upon that last grow and see if we can surpass what we are doing now. It's good your profile came back. There is the possibility this will taste great, I was just hoping to smell the sweetness that can come from this strain.

@NeedsMoreFans, the bubblegum that I grew from MSNL didnt really have a strong smell to be honest. I was worried with me trying to figure out nute schedule and all I messed something up. I may have cut her down early, to where she didn't decline enough to get that overpowering smell. But as soon as I cut those buds I got that sweet fruity smell. I'm smoking on some now (been about 2 1/2 week cure) as I type this out and that sweet fruity taste/smell is finally back. I'll have to keep posted on your cure results to see if us having different breeders changes the outcome more. And likewise, this grow of yours is better than your last. Any ideas on next season, yet?

@KCChiefers, sorry for the late delay man. Life has been super busy. Thank you for the words. She did turn out nice. Much improved over last season that is for sure. I may have figured it out, next season will be another test and learning experience. Going for some more Blackjack from Sweet Seeds, got to beat that 1.58 ounce grow. If we could do 3.2 this time, with what we learned from the 1.58, I'm confident it can be beaten. Make sure to keep an eye out for next season.

Good job. So I am in week 11 from when seed pop.. in week 6 of flowering same auto and breeder as you bubblelious auto Nirvana.. I definitely have a few more weeks so from seed pop to harvest I think 14 weeks.. does your 12 weeks include seedling stage. I am growing complete organic with biobuzz. Tx

@planner1232, thank you. Week 12 does include the seedling stage which is week 1 in all of my diaries. I didn't feel like there was much concern with the length of time it was running. We didn't have a ton of amber trichomes either. I would say between 5% and 10% depending on which part of the flower was being judged. I would say that you are getting close to the end based on length of time, and would suggest finishing her off with straight ph balanced water. I have never used biobuzz so I can't say anything about that product line as it relates to growing. Best of luck to you, and just keep an eye on the trichomes for how you like them. The jeweler's loop or USB microscope is useful, but you can start to see the amber with your naked eyes to kind of judge.
