purplebluegreen Day 5 and the seedling have stretched quite a bit. Day 8, I presoaked and cut and rock wool cube half way across and down the middle to make a pocket and wrapped it around the 2 SW's that were stretching. One of the SW's seem to be outgrowing the other. I also changed the lightbulb and went with (3) 13W CFL's until I transfer to the system next week.
purplebluegreen Transplanted to the system today. I added in some nutrients. The ladies slowed growth for 2 days, then just Exploded by day 17. One of the SW's seems to have come down with something, so i separated it from the system and ran her in her own reservoir. I think she's a goner. I also noticed slight nutrient burn on the tips of the remaining SW, and no damage to the CD. also the lower leaves on the SW started to turn brown so i just removed them.
purplebluegreen Last update we were at the beginning of week 3. Today we are rounding out week 4 and entering week 5. SW has gotten some good growth in the last couple of days. The CD is picking up some speed as well. I should have started training them earlier, but I still think I'm in good shape. SW looks like she's starting to flower so I'll keep a close eye on here. But overall good progress!!
purplebluegreen So this week I removed most of the older and lower fan leaves. Started to train her as well. I also super cropped a few branches. A lot to do all at once, but she seems to be a pretty tough gal! Chemdogging is in the background enjoying the show waiting for her turn.
purplebluegreen She started to flower this week!! I flushed out the system and clean any debris out of the buckets, well as much as i could anyways. Started on the flowering nutrient regimen. I tried to get the canopy as even as possible. She's coming along nicely even after i super cropped, pruned and stressed he a week ago!
purplebluegreen Nice little update. I defoliated SW this week as she was getting a little bushy. Someone told me as an amateur that i shouldn't defoliate, but if you don't try, how will you learn, right? Anyways, she was defoliated and new veg grew back almost instantly!! She's starting to smell a little, something like a light citrus. I also started the flowering on the CD this week! Everything is on the up and up!!
purplebluegreen Sorry for the delayed update! A lot taking place. So i was having an issue with what seems like root rot, so i switched to hydroguard and stopped using voodoo juice. Hydroguard is a great product! Anyways I added an Exhale CO2 bag in the tent and the plants seemed to grow faster than they did before. All in all both ladies are looking good.
purplebluegreen SW sitting nice at Day 63. Will start to flush her this week. About 2 more weeks and then I'll pull her. She's looking pretty frosty!! Took a few pictures this time without the grow lights directly on her.
purplebluegreen I started flushing SW yesterday with flawless finish from Advanced Nutrients. The nutrient schedule above is all CD at the moment. The Smell from the CD is starting to over power the room with a sweet almost diesel like smell. Im very excited. SW will be harvested around day 77-80. CD is currently at Day 51.
purplebluegreen Sorry for the delayed update. Holiday season came around and I was moving around a bit. But everything is good well on this side. Flushed both plants with flawless finish. Above is the last week for the Chemdogging. I pulled the skylar already and I have to sift through some other photos folders to find the pics.
I decided to run her on 24hr light cycle during bloom. However, I didn’t notice when I placed her in total darkness for the last 2 days that she started to grow again. 18-6 light schedule recommended in my opinion and I could have yielded 5 oz instead of 3 which is still great.
This grow turned out killer! Nicely done. I am trying the 24/0 light schedule this go around myself. I generally do 20/4 but because of cold winter temperatures and pulling in fresh air from outside for CO2 levels, I need to run 24/0. Anyway, it would be cool if you would follow my grow(s). I would be open to any feedback and/or suggestions along the way. Thanks... - Zannabis7
Beautiful girls. Do you mind telling me your reasons for removing those leaves? I always do it to my girls but another fellow grower was advising not to do this. Thanks.
@CaciqueCayacoa, As a new grower, going through different plans symptoms is a daunting task. There were so many deficiencies that I didn't know where to start. So I started with the nutrient burn and drained the system 3/4, filled with RO water and rebalanced the nutrients. The nutrient burn on the tips were confined to just the 2 leaves you see if the pictures above. But, the lower leaves continued to consumed by more brown spots. so i figured (1) They were shaded by the leaves on the 3rd node and (2) because i couldn't figure out what it was, I just pinched them off. She responded well so far!
@purplebluegreen, sounds good, I just don't see why one would leave them on when they're dying and consuming resources, plus I see no adverse consequences on doing so, thanks for your input.
