Started germination 10-27 paper towel method. Placed in soil 10-30 and growth shown on 11-1. Feminized MangoTango seeds by Elemental sold from Cannabis-Seeds-USA.
Will grow from seedling thru Veg state in 16 X16 X 48 grow tent and be transfered into 24 X 24 X 60 grow tent for flowering. Initial light is a CFL 60 watt.
Soil is mixture of Fox Farms Organic and Dollar General potting soil.
This week transplanted into a 5 gal cloth container using Fox Farms soil. SOme slight damage happened to the roots but the plant bounced back very nicely after the transplant. Started using Kangaroots and Microbe Brew this week. When I feed my plants I do it the same way. Every other day it gets watered with every other watering is with nutrients.
This week changed the light around. I have two of these 150 watt round grow lights I got off of ebay for $25 each. The one I was using seemed too red and the plants leaves was turning yellow. After swapping to the other light the plant perked up and greened up.
11-28 She got her first cropping yesterday. Third pic is how she looks after cropping and starting her on LST. Decided I am going to mainline train this girl with the goal of 16 colas from her. Was watching some youtube vids on it and it looks like that would fit my grow style well.
My lil Mango Tango girl took well to her first topping and pruning. She has 4 nodes now and later this week will top them so she will give me 8 nodes. The goal will be 16 well defined nodes before I put her into flowering.
Full week in flowering and man, she is stretching. Got to try to do some LST to her tonight. Still a real stinker but thankfully its been very cool/cold so been keeping the exhaust fans off.
Fed her with nutrients last night and for the next week she will get a quart of water every other day.
This plant is growing very nicely. All I have to do is water it every other day. Three weeks of flowering down and looks like she is starting to make some buds. They say she takes 56 to 62 days of flowering so another 4 or 5 weeks and I will be harvesting her.
The plant itself is looking beautiful but at 4 weeks into flowering I would think it would be starting to make buds and its not..... They say Mango Tango takes 7 to 9 weeks in flowering so hopefully I will see buds forming soon.
Trimmed the bottom foliage on this girl this week. Have some curling leaves but with her growing into the light its almost impossible not to have some curling leaves. All in all she is growing strong. Probably another 6 weeks until harvest time. Baby buds are starting to form so should see more definition next week.
This week been hard on my girls. Hard cold snap and we been without water for 4 days now. I been giving the girls one bottle of water a day without any nutrients. The lights been keeping them in the low to mid 70's in the grow tents. Yet the Mango Tango plant is looking great despite it being cooler this week. Buds are forming nicely.
This girl has me shaking my head and wondering WTF. 6 full weeks of 12 hour light and no real buds to speak of yet. These are Mango Tango Pro feminized seeds and cannabis seeds usa says they take 56 to 62 days flowering time. Its been 6 weeks which is 42 days so I would imagine the buds would actually be buds by now. I see a ton of pistils but really no bud formation yet. Guess will keep watching the plant and see what happens.
Had the wrong pictures up so corrected it.
I think I figured out the problem of why my girls are not growing buds yet. When I started this grow I bought a new Mars 480W light. It has a veg and a flowering switch on it. I had only the flowering switch turned on. These lights come with no instructions so how is anyone to know you are suppose to run both switches in the on position during flowering. Lets see how she looks next week with both switches on.
I ordered a VIPARSPECTRA PAR-Series 600W light and that will go in this tent and the 480W light will be moved to my 2 X 2 tent that is growing White Widow.
The new lamp helped a lot. New problem, she has grown so tall that she is growing into the light. The good news is buds are now forming and in another 3 weeks she should be ready to chop down.
She is making buds now. Hope only two or three more weeks on her because there is no room left to grow. She is pretty much into the light now.
Running that new light with only the veg switch on really screwed me up but it is only my second grow since I was a kid and its still a learning experience.
She has finally reached the stage where she will get only Bud Candy and Cha Ching until a week before I harvest her. The buds are starting to pack on and they are good and dense.
Well, this is about it for this grow. The buds are very sappy and my hands are sticky just from touching her. Seeing lots of amber trichones and picking them buds.
I made a huge screwup with the lights but still the plants sprung back and produces some buds. I am hoping these two plants will get me at least 3 oz. The buds are thick and heavy, just not that many of them. Have high hopes the smoke of these buds will taste as good as all the hype they have. :)
Mid week update: Been cutting buds and trimming them and drying them. Up to over 50 grams so far and maybe 30 ish grams of buds not quiet ready to harvest yet. This strain is some primo herb. Cant wait to see how it is when it is fully cured. Right now the taste has a heavy perfume flavor to it on exhale. The effects is a heavy deep stone that last a long while and then turns into a good energetic lets get shit done high. I gotta grow some more of this! I am very positive without major screw ups like I had this will easily produce 4 oz a plant. An experienced grower can probably get twice that. Highly recommended.
This grow is coming out well so far. 63 oz of dried bud already harvested and the buds still on the plant I am letting mature and grow some. Trichones are all milky so soon I should start seeing some amber and be ready to harvest them. The way she is looking I might have another 60 oz of buds still growing. They are fattening up so maybe more.
Cant believe these girls are still going. I harvested a bunch off her already. Dry weight so far is around 75ish grams. As ya can see, she still has a bunch of buds on her that I am letting fatten up and get a few red trichones on them before picking them. Tonight I see new buds lower on the plants.
Tonight I gave them a drink with bud candy and a good pinch of cha ching to help those buds out. First real nutes they have had in a couple weeks.
The buds that are curing are starting to develop a real sweet rich smell. The taste of smoking it is still heavy perfume on the exhale. The effects of this strain is awesome. Take a hit or two from a bowl and your stoned. Better not have any plans because your not going anywhere for an hour or two. Then it transforms into a very good "lets get some shit done" type of high that last hours and hours. Thats why I am milking this grow. Wanting every bit of bud I can get. She is that good!
Still gettng buds off her. Took a couple clippings from her this week and am trying to root them to do a monster grow. New buds that were coming on are gettin fat and even more buds are starting to show. So far around 100 grams of buds from her and counting. Gonna just keep her going until the next grow is ready for the tent.
These was not Mango Skunk, they are Mango Tango from Elemental seeds bought from Cannabis-seeds-usa. Excellent quality buds from her. And a forgiving plant.
Had a major screw up with the lights leaving only the red on them for a couple weeks but this plant bounced back and gave me a nice crop. The amazing part is she kept making new buds after starting to harvest her.
The string is worthless and you should just get rid of it. Not ScrOG by any means. The 12 hour light schedule is probably what did you wrong. Plus low wattage. But you had the right distance from plant. Maybe revisit your nutrients? Better luck next time dude!
Hi mate, I looked at your plants, they look so beautiful. Well done. I will be happy if you look at my diary and tell me your opinions. Have good harvest. 😊👋
