The lazy Gorilla is still doing nothing but slowly growing some leaves. Almost no visible growth at all. I did some research and found out that this is common behaviour for this strain: It takes very long to start flowering, some people even reported it is a photoperiod, so she is waiting for the days to become shorter. Not sure what I will do with her. I'm not eager to extend this grow by two months for one single plant. So for now I will continue, but if the others need more space, I might kill the Gorilla.
Wooow. What are the trichomes telling you=? To me she Looks Ready for Harvest. Leaves are discoloring, Pistils are orange.... but well you are Closer.
Well Maybe a few days longer
@Mrs_Larimar, yes, from her general appearance she looks more or less ready to me. I always have a hard times checking trichomes, but I think most are cloudy and only a few ones are still clear. I did not spot any amber. I will wait for some more days, but I do not think she will fill up much more. It is a shame she was not treated the way she would have deserved; I should have switched to 12/12 two weeks earlier. But I do not want to complain, in the end it is the quality that matters. Maybe she surprises me like the miserable Zkittlez that also had only very tiny buds but incredible quality.
@Mrs_Larimar, yes, it is the same. The biggest leaves I've ever seen. I already removed the four hugest ones, but you can hardly notice it. I would prefer a bit more branching, though...
@Mrs_Larimar, controlling humidity is hardest... But I think it should be fine. At least HiJack is growing even more vigorously than the Super Skunk in my last run.
@Mrs_Larimar, yes, I also think there are preflowers. But I do think so since almost a week, but almost nothing is happening. Meanwhile the second Zkittlez is 10cm taller and starting to enter full flower mode. But lazy Gorilla is still sleeping. Will be so interesting to look under her skirt once there is some more space 😁
Hi Buddha, quick question here in regards to this: "To me it looks as she did already perform most of her stretch during preflower" I think this happened to me too, I vegged officially for 10 weeks (with a photoperiod though) but unofficially due to light leaks, she vegged for 12 weeks. So once she was in flower, there wasn't the biggest stretch happen, maybe she grew 10cm?
What do you think as of now? Thanks 🍃
@Buddha2, Good to know, under different circumstances, I would've liked for her to veg less, but glad I learned something. The other thing with vegging too long is, that the initially planned pot size won't be big enough. My plant has consumed all of her soil by now which makes me water more often.
@starke, yes, exactly the same here. After she finally started flower, she only grew a few centimeters. Almost all of the stretch apparently had already happened. I'm so happy because I could not have handled her doubling in height 😉
@Mrs_Larimar, pssst, don't tell her. She needed this threat, now she seems to have changed her mind and starts to develop. Only some hours after I told her that she can decide 😀
Nice harvest and super frosty nugs, I like that you use biobizz 😊 I used to grow with Hydro years ago but I'm a sucker for organic growing.
Hope to see you growing again soon 😎
@LittleBigTrees, thanks! The good thing with this BioBizz stuff is that you cannot do much wrong. It is almost impossible to give too much and I believe that an organic grow gives the best results especially in terms of taste and smell. Which is very important to me. See you 😉
@Buddha2, WOW 😳 great purple coloartion in the harvested buds, I LOVE 😍purple strains. Great work on the grow and the diary, man! Keep up the good work! 👏😎
😅Hahaha. That was funny☺️. I haven't had edibles in sooooo long, either. I'm afraid what they might do to me now, lol! Glad you're okay! Half a cookie next time?
Very happy you harvested your medicine and you have what you need for awhile. I'm also hopeful/positive the GG will cure to your liking and is one of my favorite medicine strains, too. It's a lot of what I'm looking for, personally, in a terpene profile👌. Enjoy and congrats!
@Mrs_Larimar, yes, the trichomes are looking spectacular. Somehow compensates for the quite small buds. Maybe the number of trichomes is always the same, but due to the bud size the density is higher. Then it should be really strong stuff 😁 I think I will try it on Wednesday, currently it is still curing. I yielded 110g which is quite good, but I can have the same amount with autos in about half the time. So we will see how it is. I also still have quite some auto seeds I want to grow, so currently there is no need to do a decision. But I have the feeling that photoperiods are more robust. This Gorilla never complained, almost no leave tips have turned brown, whereas with my autos this was the default...
Hey Buddha, congrats on the Harvest.
She looks beautiful, what do you think, was it worth the time? Wonder how she would have developed if she had have more space🤔.. anyway, hope you're happy with the outcome of your photoperiodic auto..😜 Have a good one Buddha✌️✌️
@@OimRausch, I did not yet smoke it, so I do not know whether it was worth the time. But yes, she would have needed more space and I should have sent her to flower about two weeks earlier. What really surprises me is the almost total lack of smell. Even now that she is drying, there is almost nothing. In one week I will know more.
@Mrs_Larimar, I'm guessing the same! The buds are lighter and more open than I like, but I think this is due to the overlong vegetation period. It seems when she started the stretch, the clock began to tick, because flowers only grew for a bit more than two weeks and then already started to mature. But I certainly will grow photoperiodics again in the future. They are slower but seem to be so much more robust.
This is fantastic. Great natural form with that beauty main👌. I'm sure she'll still swell quite a bit for you. Great work and happy grows this week Buddah😀
