Hello everyone! This grow is going to include some new methods, techniques and grow gear, that I haven't used before. I'm still new to growing cannabis, so let's hope with all these new variables, that I don't screw things up 😃. I'm using a new LED this grow. A Spider Farmer SF2000. It pulls 202 watts @120V from the wall (Hence the title). Since I'm growing Auto flowers, I'll try running them 24 hours a day for the first time. Secondly, I'm using 3 gallon Airpots for the first time. I've used regular nursery plastic pots, and fabric pots in the past, but these look interesting. Hopefully they air prune the roots as nicely as the fabric pots, and be easier to clean and sterlize for re-use. I'm using coco coir for the first time. I'm accustomed to ProMix, and wanted to see what all the hype is about firsthand. I'm doing a side by side grow of Coco Coir vs ProMix vs 50/50 coco&ProMix. All three pots also have about 15% perlite mixed in. Each pot also began with Gaia Green Dry Fertilizer mixed in with 6 Tablespoons of 4-4-4 and 3 Tablespoons of 2-8-4 per pot. This little experiment will be far from scientific since I'm starting from seed and different phenos will show their own growth characteristics, however, some general traits of each grow media should be observed. Thanks for stopping by! Peace, DeaneR😎

Coco is winning the race so far. The plant in the 50/50 mix got off to a slow start (I likely overwatered her), but is on the rebound. The girl in ProMix is setting roots and starting to catch up. At this point coco has such a headstart that i doubt the others will surpass her. Thanks for viewing! Peace, DeaneR😎

Decent growth this week. I suspect I have some nutrient lockout problems on the Coco plant due to pH. Added Recharge, Calmag, and Velokelp pH'd to 6.0 this week. Some fungus gnats are showing up on the sticky traps (ProMix seems to always contain Gnat larvae) Watering with dechlorinated tap water with mosquito dunks soaked in (bascillus thuringiensis israelensi) to try to keep the Gnat population knocked down. LST this week for Coco and ProMix plants. Going to just let 50/50 grow natural and spread her out later.

Growing well this week! Coco is still leading with explosive veg growth, and is responding well to LST. On day 26 I removed the large fan leaves from 50/50 and used LST to open her up and allow more light to the lower branches. These three girls are really showing quite different traits. It should be interesting to see how they finish. I made a D.I.Y. Co2 generator from a gallon water jug. The jug contains R.O. water, sugar and yeast. An Air pump is tubed into the jug and has a length of 1/8" copper tubing, suspended in the jug, that acts as a stir stick. The Air pump comes on for a 3-5 second blast every 3-5 minutes and stirs up the sugar/yeast/water mixture. The output side is tubed to the back of the fan. Thanks for viewing! Peace, DeaneR😎

Popping Pistils now in Week 5. Good growth this week. The Coco plant is showing some nutrient issues (Burnt tips). The Pro-Mix plant is really starting to smell, and this pheno (the runt of the three) is quickly moving into flower. Much more to come, Peace Growers! DeaneR😎

This week, each pot received 6 Tablespoons of Gaia Green Bloom 2-8-4 Dry amendments, mixed into the top of the each media. The Pro-Mix and Coco plants were defoliated some to improve airflow and light penetration, and were opened up with LST. The 50/50 plant received some light defoliation of some fan leaves that were blocking light to budsites. The plant in coco is showing some issues that I hope to correct. Peace, DeaneR😎

The plant in Pro-Mix is showing some strange bud structure, although it is the furthest into flowering and is very sticky and fragrant. These three Smoothies are all looking very different. Added some Big Bud Organic this week. Let's hope these buds put on some weight. Thanks for stopping in! Peace, DeaneR😎

All 3 plants coming along well this week! The runt in Pro-Mix is getting really frosty, super sticky, and very fragarent. The plant in 50/50 mix is going to produce a real nice main cola 😊. The Coco plant is producing many nice colas, and is consuming her fan leaves quickly. Time to fatten up these buds🙏 Thanks for viewing! Peace, DeaneR😎

All the girls are coming along nicely. Pro-mix is furthest into flower, followed by Coco, then 50/50. The pheno in the 50/50 mix is still throwing out alot of pistils. Just ph'd water from now till the chop. Thanks for viewing, Stay tuned (up), more to come! Peace, DeaneR😎

Wooot! I broke the 1 gram/watt barrier for the first time!!! With Auto-flowers!!! First off, this 202W @ 120V from the wall (hence the title, "What can 2 OH 2 Do?") Spider Farmer SF2000 LED light impressed me. It has a pleasant light spectrum to view plants under, and flowers out a 2X4 ft. tent nicely. I plan to do some D.I.Y. to this light and remove the onboard LED driver, and move it outside the tent. This will allow easy access to the dimming potentiometer if needed. This run was 24 hours light, 7 days a week. This made it real easy to stabilize my temperature and humidity values in the tent, and dial in VPD. In the future I will run a 20 hour On/4 hour Off cycle for autos. I suspect the plants could use a rest period, and I can save some $$$ on my electricity bill. The three gallon Air-pots worked great. All three plants in their three medias produced equal root masses. This was evident by visual inspection after harvest. The only downside to these pots, is the fact that you have to water very slowly, otherwise, everything runs out the side holes. This is real evident with Pro-Mix when it dries out and becomes a little difficult to re-hydrate. This grow is my first experience with Coco Coir. I like the fact that it readily takes in water like a sponge, unlike dry Pro-Mix. Coco is more forgiving to a heavy handed watering, that I am known to do. Its' properties are difficult to over water, and I like the fact that it dries quicker and allows more feeding opportunities. The Coco Coir plant produced the fastest vegetative growth. I still like Pro-Mix, for its ability to dry out much slower. This trait is helpful during those busy times of the year, and for growing in pots outdoors. The three types of growing media, and three different pheno types, from seed, all produced basically the same results (yield wise). I am very satisfied with this run. Over 1/2 pound of easy to grow bud in 11 weeks!😀😁😃 Thanks to everyone who viewed, commented, or liked this diary. Peace, DeaneR😎
