Purple lemonade

Soaked this lil purple lemonade in RO water at 75f and she popped in about 12 hours. Then I transferred her to a 2 inch rockwool cube that had been soaked overnight in ph 6 RO water to stabilize ph. About 18 hours later she emerged and we are off.... She will be grown in a single 5 gallon dutch bucket setup with a 5 gallon reservoir. Bucket is lined with a paint strainer bag and filled with 100% perlite. Nutrients will be pumped 24 hours a day by an aquarium powerhead pump. Will be oxygenating the reservoir with an aquarium air pump and a standard airstone. Starting her under a 12w t-sun led grow light. Will switch to cfl in a couple days if she doesn't show good growth. Then she will go under a galaxyhydro 1000 around the end of week 2. Running a little cool mist humidifier next to her for now to keep her happy. I am using old perlite from a previous grow so I am running the system with a heavy dose of hydrogen peroxide for a day or 2 to kill any funky stuff that might be brewing. Once the seedling has a nice Taproot out of the bottom of her cube I will plant her in the bucket and get this show on the road. Probably be a little cloning and colloidal silver action going on in a few weeks. Day 2 I flushed the peroxide out of the system and added a little maxigro. She had about .75 inch Taproot already so I planted her in the bucket and pumps are running. As you can see she is a little droopy. This is just her adjusting to the environment. She will perk up in a day or so. Will probably have to adjust the pH a couple times this first week. With the low nutrient dose there aren't enough buffers to hold it stable until I get around .5 tsp dose then it should hold pretty stable. Day 4 running smooth. Her color is looking good and she is slowly showing growth daily. Added a pinch of 90/10 humic/fulvic acid to help her absorb nutrients and help buffer the pH. pH has held stable since adding it.

This purple lemonade is on day 10 and she has some type of deformity. The top leaves are fused together and I only see one little side node coming off the stalk below the second node. It doesn't look like the first node with single leaves is going to produce branches either. The stalk below the cotelydons isn't splitting to widen like they usually do either. I will probably keep an eye on her until the end of this week and might scrap her if she doesn't start throwing off some branches soon.

This plant has had an interesting week. The main leaves on her 2nd node were fused together so she wasn't making any progress unable to grow since the node was trapped inside the leaves. I inspected the plant closely and decided to split the leaves with a razor to allow the top to grow. You can see a light colored stripe on the 2nd node leaves. This is where they were fused together. After careful surgery slicing the leaves apart the node emerged and immediately started growing. After fixing that issue she kept showing signs of being overwatered in the dutch bucket. I have never seen this before so I assume this is just a sensitive plant?? I removed it from the bucket and put her in a pot with 50/50 perlite/vermiculite. She looks much happier now and is finally putting on steady growth. Decided not to top her because of the issues, but started lst and we shall see what she does.

Pulled 3 fan leaves off her today and been doing a little bending on her branches to keep light penetration even. She started showing pistils on day 24 but I will be happy if I can get another week of veg in before she decides to hit flower. I put her in the room with my seedlings and she is getting 24 hour light. She has made awesome progress from last week especially considering her top was fused and that slowed her down a little. Going to start giving her a little maxibloom in the next watering. She seem to be happy in the 50/50 vermiculite/ perlite grow medium. She is still under the Galaxyhydro 1000 light.

Been a smooth week. She is starting to pop a few pistils on top. Been watering every 2 days. Starting to see a little stretch. Just hoping for some purple.....

The purps are coming! A little more than 2 weeks into flower and the color change is starting to happen. Seeing purps in the calyxes and leaves. Pretty excited about it. Starting giving her some flower boosters. She is drinking a lot so I was having to mix nutrients for her every day. I don't see how you guys do it! Lol It was turning into more work than I want to do so I started mixing 2 gallons at a time and keeping it bubbled with an air hose. This has made life much easier. Other than that just going to try to keep this girl happy and hope she rewards me with some fat purple buds 💜💜

She is done stretching and she is building them purple buds now. The only issue I have now is the hand watering once a day really isn't enough for her. She would be much better on a drip system but just have to try to finish her off the way things are. She is getting pretty lemony on the aroma.

This girl is moving along. Thinking she will start to ripen up in the next couple weeks. I switched my photos to 12/12 today so she will be getting the same light. Watering her twice a day about a cup each time. The aroma still bursts like fresh lemons. Excited to taste this girl and even more excited to run one of these on a proper grow in a dutch bucket next round.

She is plumping up a bit more. I am thinking she will be ready to flush in a week. I am seeing a little foxtailing on the big top. Other than that she is doing well. She is still drinking twice a day. Probably going to put her in a pan of nutrients to bottom feed her since I am leaving the plants alone for a week and don't want to set up a drip system for one plant. Guess we will see what happens.

This would have been a much better yield in a better grow setup. But great genetics as usual.
