Day 0; The seed is starting to open up and it should germinate shortly. Then it'll go in the pot. This Sour Diesel will share the tent with an Auto Zkittlez and a Purple Lemonade. There's also a photo plant, a Green Gelato, in the tent that has a couple of weeks to finish, so I can only keep them in the tent for 12 hrs, and then they'll have to stay outside the tent with a small blurple LED light for 8 hrs. Day 00; Hopefully this will be day 1. I think she'll sprout later today. I made her a dome to get the humidity up and protect her a little bit against the intense light. Day 1; Today she sprouted. Day 6; She's growing as expected

Grow Questions

Her leaves started to get orange/brown spots a couple of weeks ago. Now all leaves go yellow and dry and die. Flushing her didn't help. Now I get similar symptoms on my Glue Gelato plant.

Hi @Nickeluring They seem to be PH variations and a slight lack of calcium but nothing to worry about, it is normal at the end of flowering for plants to gain purple and brown tones. otherwise your plant is looking great and almost ready for harvest. good luck mate at harvest 💪🙏👍

I believe the problem with the leaves is a fungus named Rust. Does anyone know anything about Rust? Too late for this plant, but I might be able to save my other plants. What's the best way to deal with Rust?

As far as I know when you see rust spots it usually has something to do with Calcium and/or Magnesium deficiencies. idk if you were giving Cal-Mag as a supplement or not

Interesting you keep a high pH for a hydro setup. I've always aimed at 5.5 - 6.5. Seems to be working fine for you :)

@HazeyBobby, yes it was a good switch. It would be hard to make me go back...

@Nickeluring, thanks for letting me know - I didn't realise the extent of AN's line was completely pH independent. Sounds like it was a good switch :)

@HazeyBobby, I stopped using my pH pen and pH+ and pH- when I switched to Advanced Nutrients. Their nutes are pH independent and as long as you're between a pH of 4 and 8 you're all good. 7.2 is what it comes to from the tap and everything mixed into it, and I just serve it to my thirsty ladies as is. Before I switched I noticed the pH in my nute reservoir kept rising, and I was looking at making something that would automatically adjust the pH, but thankfully I never had to deal with it.

Awesome buds mate, looks like they would have needed a lot of trimming/manicuring. Did you need to wash your shirts hanging there after drying? 😃 Last time I hung weed to dry in my closet, friends would comment on the scents emanating from me for a week afterwards :)

@Nickeluring, I hear you on the drying approach and I'd like to try it on a harvest. I've always wet trimmed and drying times are much shorter - but then I manage them in jars till curing starts. sounds like you're going to be up to your neck in harvesting for a while :) a good problem to have.

@HazeyBobby, Haha, I think my whole persona constantly smells of this beautiful herb, so no one would be able to tell if my shirts smell. 😄 I do all the trimming when the plant is dry and ready to put in the jars. Dried whole like this it will be more or less cured by the time it has finished drying. With a rH of about 60% it dries in about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks when dried whole. I am a bit worried about the state my bedroom will be in shortly though. I have 8 girls lined up for the drying rack, the first one being chopped in a few days, and then a second wave of 7 more ladies in about 5 more weeks. 😳 As a side note; while I type this I vape the very first sample of this plant. It is of course not cured yet so taste wise it'll get better, but still very good. Potent stuff for sure!

@Denzul, thank you, my friend. Exciting times indeed. I currently have 7 ladies in flower, and 10 chicas not far behind. Perhaps it'll get too exciting soon...

Nice plastic trainers... what are they called? and do you take them off before those branches thicken or does it cater for that?
Nickeluring
Nickeluringcommented5 years ago
@HazeyBobby, they're called Bends and they're absolutely fantastic!! You can take them off or leave them on. If the branch gets really thick, the clip expands. But I usually remove them before they're stretched too much so I can reuse them. You need to be careful once they're in place if trying to bend a branch right next to the clip. It's very easy to snap a branch right off if it gets bent against a clip.

With 60% humidity? No, it's just the effect of flushing and the plant fading, indicating that the harvest point is getting close

Hi, I think it's somethink about Ph lvl. You have PH perfect but you puting a lot of boosters they can change PH. You supose to check ph i think and Flush with right PH if some ... Btw good plants almost ready. I crossed fingers. Good luck .
