Dropped seed into small glass of RO water ph'ed at 6.3 on 17th. Kept warm 85° and dark. Seed sank after 14hrs then placed into damp (not wet) paper towel. Folded then placed inside a plastic baggie. Kept warm & dark. On 18th planted seed with taproot down in solo cup w/equal part ffof & peat moss (little perlite too) Pre-rinsed soil with 2x amount of water before planting. Covered w/baggie & put under 36w. LED for 24hrs. Watered once a day after & here we are.
Simple start to the grow. Thanks for looking! Still learning the sites tools to the posts but seems easy enough. So, I'll usually wait until week 3 before any kind of feeding but decided to take an earlier dive for a change 😉
Transplanted on 31st into cloth pot. Soil mix;
12 part ffof soil..... 8 part Happy Frog soil.....
2 part sphag moss.... 2 part Vermiculite.....
1/2 part worm cast.... 1/2 tsp milorganite....
Mixed soil well with hands and prewashed it once by volume (5gal).
After a careful transplant watered with 1/4 gal.
of RO, PH @ 6.2 then placed under 400w MH.
Making a very happy plant. Thanks for taking the time to ponder my diary. Much appreciated!
Coming along.
First light feeding done on day 21
Topping really slowed growth. Pretty sure she didn't care for it but did bounce back recently.
Should start bushing out now with steady nutes coming in. Didn't feed her until 3rd week.
Thanks for glancing all!
She's been growing well. Seemed to be a little behind in growth earlier on... But picked up quite nicely after some decent feedings. Started LST last week after topping and she's taking it well. Has a tiny stink to her already.
Thanks for popping by to check out the grow my fellow green thumbs.
She's growing. Probably transition her into flower stage either the end of this week or the start of next week. Been LST and doing light defoliation when needed. Will be taking cuttings right before the switch to 12/12.
Loving higher PPMs. Eating up what she's given producing great vegetative growth. Doing neem oil foliar treatments once a week only for precautionary measures. Also have 2x yellow HotShot BugBeGone 6 month treatment sticks inside my veg. and flower rooms. Have to stop them buggers before they even start.
Coming up to the last veg week then onto flowering this lady. She's pretty thick right now but going to thin her out (defoliate) right before the flip to 12/12. Which then makes for some good cuttings to root up and clone.
My health has been a bit on the fritz so managing my gals has been kind of a feat in itself. So I'm happy my little trees are coming along healthier than I. Ttfn
Took two cuttings the 9th... Flushed 2 gal distilled tap then fed 3/4 RO week#1 bloom nutrients. Gave her 24hrs of darkness before moving into flower room on March 10th. She's healthy and loving the new lumens.
Neem foliar treatment as well.
Two lights going in bloom to keep up with growth. She's a happy plant. Given some extra FFOF soil the other day, so taking on more water by volume.
Wish things were better around the world right now. Hoping and praying for all my new fellow growers to be vigilant, clean, safe and above all else healthy. My heart goes out to all of those who may have been affected by this horrible virus. Maintain your sanity and keep a level head. Love your family, friends and of course your four legged kids more so than before... And try helping those less fortunate. Work together 🕊️
Gave her a trellis last week before any unmanageable growth before flower. She's definitely picking up on the stank. 🍨🍭🍬🍒 Of course it's a wonderful stink.
With such a nice structure and shape she'll be happy to put on a beautiful show. Gelato had her final defoliation session this morning before watering. Plumpy goodness time.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my grows. Wishing everyone stay healthy during these challenging days. Stay green and clean💚
The growth on this gal is nice. Vibrant greens with white pistols inside the fresh calyxs that explode and build up daily. Trichomes were only visible beginning of last week. Now they're hard to miss coating every flower she's been putting out. Tied back only a couple stubborn branches and took a few leaves from her over the last week. Just to create better airflow and to open any blocked budsites.
She's a happy healthy plant and growing well.
Blimburn's Gelato has been performing well. She's a healthy and hungry girl so upping her nutes should be fruitful. She has full, crystaly, tight-noded flowers with white hairs popping up everywhere. Her smell is aromatic. Much sweeter than the usual... of berries, cream, honey and kind of citrusy. Glad the 740 cfm carbon filter/fan is working well. May add an extra 420 cfm carbon filter down the road. If her stank is telling me to. 🍨🍓🍭🍍🍦🍇🍋🍨
Just a pleasing experience with this gal'.
Thanks for peepin' the skee!
👍 Much love, much appreciated!👍
This Gelato girl from Blimburn Seeds is performing great. Only removed a couple fan leaves this week that were blocking lower budsites. Been handling a little higher ppms than normal just fine.
She has a nice structure with colas spaced out comfortably. Her aroma is very sweet🍭🍨🍬 and fruity🍒🍇🍓 and getting stronger by the day. Let there be plumping.
Thanks for taking the time to follow along.
It's appreciated 😇
Amazingly full colas on Blimburn's Gelato. Had some small foxtails starting to pop off 'crowning' so raised the grow lights by 9 inches. Just a beautiful plant. Keeping temps lower at night to aid in coaxing my ladies to put out some of those gorgeous darker hues. Which she's started to show recently. Fruity, creamy aromas coming from this beauty and not to mention the FROST.
A real gem in the garden for sure.
Thanks again and until next time. Stay chill😎👊

Gelato is growing swell and looking ever more phat. Had her first Overdrive feeding on the 27th... no more Big Bud for her. Keeping an eye on Gelato's trichomes for prime plucking. I'll be posting pictures her trich' forests (200x microscope) next week.
This happy plant grows on.

Once again, Thanks for checking in and of course all of the likes are greatly appreciated.

Some amazing colors on this girl & her aroma has been getting more pronounced in the room. More faint than others but Gelato's definitely pungently sweet.
Decided on giving her a bit more time to ripen after checking trichomes on the 6th. They were about 60%-70% milky🍼 with the rest clear. When they've turned 80%-90% milky🍼 I flush.

Gave Gelato her last light feeding on the 6th. Started heavy leaching/overflow this week with plain RO, PH 6.5
Hand tilling topsoil between each water to aid in extending moisture % at her root zone/base.
Flushing along side Flawless Finish application will be done tonight May 12th.
Blimburn's Gelato is about prime for plucking.
Much obliged for looking into my grow.
Until the next time. Stay green and clean. 🥂

This girl put out some real amazing hues towards the end. Has a very pleasant aroma as well. She's on her last week in under light. I'll be harvesting this Beasty beauty next week.
Gave Gelato a few good flushes over the last 10-12 days of plain RO, PH 6.5
With her initial flush done with a Flawless Finish soak.

** Had some issues uploading her Trichome video. Eventually got it to post. Yay!
Because we do 💚 them milky trichome forests. All is done for your appreciation of course. My fellow growmies make it all worthwhile.
Eagerly waiting to indulge in this girl's fruity goodness. Good things come to those who wait patiently.

Blimburn Seeds produced this incredible plant being Gelato. She was a real cool treat to grow in the garden without any meltdowns.
Showing off her lovely colors at harvest. Hues of purple (& a little pink!) on vibrant green buds with randomly placed bright orange pistols. A real pleasant sight. Not to mention how juicy sweet and resinous these flowers are.
This girl performed great when topping and to the LST sessions throughout the vegetative cycle. She'll indeed stretch on the flip, so keep in mind that extra vertical space will be needed. Her flowers swelled plenty. You'll have to support them somehow from flopping. That's a plus in my book.
Loving this plant from Blimburn Seeds. She's one of my current top favorites.
Recommend in trying out these genetics.
