Gorilla Breath started germinating on the 27th at 3:00pm Still no sprouts 52 hours later. 70% humidity, 25 C under dome Seeds are in jiffy pellets Started germinating a seed from Toronto a Seed Bank called Quebec LSD. Put this seed directly into water today around 3pm and the seed is already cracking. Will remove from water tomorrow afternoon and place into a peat pellet to finish germination process.

Felt like growing was slow going this week. I know they’re only 7 days from breaking ground so they’re establishing their roots but there was two days I felt like they didn’t grow at all. I germinated two more seeds, was going to have a total of 5 in my 4x4 but I somehow managed to kill both my master kush seeds despite having a beautiful tap root when I planted them into the soil. (Any advice/methods for getting seedlings going from germination to 🌱 is welcome and appreciated) My two Gorilla Breath plants struggled for the last 3 days of this week and went pretty yellow, which I presumed was a lack of nutrients since they’re only in solo cups right now with Fox Farm soil. They most likely used up all those nutrients and thus began showing signs of nutrient deficiency. I plan to make the next transplant into pro mix with added perlite so I have Advanced Nutrients Micro, Grow, Bloom on standby with RO water for that process. I ended up giving the two gorilla breath a 1/3 dose of micro, grow, bloom in 1L of water for one of their feedings to attempt to get some color back. It seemed to start working as you can see on the pictures. I was into my local hydro store today to buy some perlite to add to my pro mix next week and the guy talked me into some foliar spray (see attached image) to address the nutrient deficiency. I sprayed it on the leaves right before lights out on day 7 (February 6th) Hopefully that helps them out. Time will tell. I also struggled with humidity this week, ended up using a wet towel temporarily to keep humidity levels around 50% but I ended up ordering a humidifier on amazon and got that set up today. Super happy with the results from that 😁 Stay blessed and happy growing!

Pretty good week overall. Saw lots of growth, could almost watch these plants get bigger every day 😀 Cleared up my discolored leaves pretty much as soon as I started giving them some nutes. They each got a 1:3 dose of advanced nutrients 3 part perfect ph micro grow bloom. Excited for these things to hit 5 nodes so I can top them and begin mainlining for colas Cheers and happy growing

Pretty sad week, been topping and LST training, sad getting all this growth then topping it and defoliating. One more topping left for these girls then they just get to grow without being harassed 😁 Got my Vipsrspectra 1200 today and what a shock that was. The light is easy double what I expected and just like I imagined when I unboxed it (heat issues) Temps are sitting at 30 plus or minus 1 degree consistently now but only after I cranked my exhaust fan to maximum strength from 33%. Will monitor the situation, I originally only bought it to be in the 4x4 alone but since I’ve been having issues with my landlord trying to make me tear the tent down I decided to hold of on starting another tent for veg, therefore I decided for this grow I’m just going to keep both my TSW 2000 and Vipaespectra in the tent for 860W total actual LED power. Figured if I could keep temps under control having both light spectrums and so much power will yield me some monster buds on my mainline. Also got all the nutrients I will need/plan to use for flowering. I figure by the beginning to mid April I will be ready to flip these girls 8-9 weeks veg but it will depend largely on their growth and how they respond to this new light situation. Time will tell 👍🏻

Good growth this week! No issues, nice color. Been trying to let my master kush girl catch up to the other 3 plants since it’s a week behind and all this lst and topping has it growing slow. I’m done topping all my plants now. Master Kush will have 8 main colas and I’m doing an experiment letting two offshoots grow up to the canopy to see what kind of buds they turn out to be. My Gorilla breath plants are doing great, one is all set with 8 colas and 2 off shoots I’m allowing to grow up to the canopy for a potential 10 colas just like the master kush plant. The second gorilla breath plant that I accidentally broke a couple weeks ago is doing better but not sure it’s still super short from all the topping and lst training to make up for half the plant missing. I’ll be curious to see how much yield I lost on this girl from accidentally breaking half my main arm. The LSD plant is doing great for height and has 6 colas due to it growing uneven nodes on one side and me not wanting to have an uneven canopy. I’m rolling with 6 colas and going to see what kind of yield I get. I started two other plants that were freebies and I’m going to transfer them outside when weather permits. Stay blessed and happy growing 💁‍♂️🏻

Did some more LST, exposing new bud sites, plants and thriving and growing well. They are day 50 today. I’m going to veg them for another 2 weeks, give or take, then switch them to flower.

I decided to scrap my mainlining plans last minute and do a scrog grow instead. This was mostly due to the explosive growth in the last week. I literally couldn’t keep up with it, I felt like they doubled in size overnight every night as you will see in the pictures. No nutrient issues, added rhino skin to help with heat resistance and vented my exhaust fan into my dryer duct so it’s going outside now since outdoor temperature is warming up and I don’t want excess heat and humidity building up in my basement. Conditions are now ideal both in my tent and in my basement, and plants are thriving 😁 This will be the last week of veg before I switch to flower, let’s see what these girls are made of! Stay blessed and happy growing.

Nutrient burn? Or light burn? How do I treat it, leaf tips going yellow. Just started flipped to 12-12 two days ago. Plants are fine otherwise

Hi @Csmithch .it seems to me of nutrients. note that discoloration between the veins of the leaves and if you have burnt leaf tips may be the first symptoms of magnesium deficiency. good luck mate

An interesting week for sure, plants growth has been insane. Did a major defoliation over the last two days. Going to let them grow until the end of week 3 flowering before I defoliate again. Still giving them veg nutrients until next Thursday, then I’ll switch them to flowering nutrients. Seemed to have a Mg deficiency at the end of last week so I fed them CalMg with the last two feedings, I’ll likely keep that up until flush since I use RO water and a soilless medium. From what I gather those circumstances almost certainly call for constant CalMg feedings. Hoping to fill up this ScrOg net entirely before they finish flowering, been doing minor LST this first week but hoping to have them done and trained by the end of week 3 so they can focus on flowering and not be stressed. Stay blessed and happy growing 😎

Flowers really showed up this week. Started feeding flowering nutes as of tonight, so they went 2 full weeks still on veg nutes. Today is the end of week 2 since switching to flowering light schedule. Growth isn’t as explosive as it had been the first two weeks, however still growing. Slowly did some defoliating over the last 2 weeks, opened things up a bit, will do a little more this week and then leave them to grow until harvest. Stay blessed and happy growing 😎

Can anyone tell me why my new growth is light green/lime green? Is that normal? Start of 3rd week of flowering. Otherwise healthy from what I can tell. Some lower growth is weak and flimsy but I think that’s normal considering how small the branches are.

Could be lockout but not entirely sure. Have you checked your PH & PPM runoff? I check those every time I water. Also check the PH and PPM of the water that goes in the plants. I also do a mini flush one week before I switch to 12-12. I'll add an extra gallon or three depending how high the PPM's are. Get those extra salts out of the soil.

This week I learned a lot. It started on Monday or Sunday when I noticed my leaves with new growth on my back left plant we’re getting the tips burnt. Originally I assumed it was light burn since the lights were only 15 inches from the plants. After moving the light up 4 inches and seeing no change I began investigating further. I determined that based on the yellowing, falling leaves in the lower section of the plant, I was suffering from a magnesium deficiency. This at first was hard to accept since I’ve been feeding them cal mag for the last few weeks as needed. Upon further investigating I determined that my ph run-off was sitting around 5.1, which in a soilless medium like my pro mix is unacceptable. Further research confirmed that the ph should be between 5.8-6.2 as I had suspected, cannabis thrives in a slightly acidic environment. I immediately flushed the sick plant with RO Ph-7 water to bring the ph in the soil up. Initially it only came up to 5.7 but I was happy with that as I didn’t want to risk downing the plant either. I left it for a day and then I got nervous because I’ve been treating all my plants the same since day 1, I flushed the other 3 plants and determined they all had a ph between 5.1-5.3. All way too low. Once I finished flushing all my plants and bringing the ph back up to an acceptable range I started doing more research and tests of my own. First thing: cannabis will not absorb nutrients properly if the ph in the root zone isn’t within prescribed ranges. Hence my my deficiency. Second thing: even if you’re using ph perfect nutrients, they don’t always come out ph perfect: I tested my whole batch, then just micro grow bloom and both batches were hitting 5.1-5.3 which means all the feeds for the last 2 months were low ph minus the first week when I tested the ph. ALWAYS TEST YOUR PH It’s a tough lesson to learn, I will have to accept the lost harvest amount more related to stressing my plants with a mg deficiency that I could have coughs early on it I had just monitored my ph levels. Stay blessed and happy growing 😎

Buds are packing on weight pretty good for only being at the end of week 3. I think these buds have potential to get some good size to them by the end of flowering period. I noticed a few days ago my timer stopped working, lights were stuck on. Looks like there's no ill effects yet though despite worrying about them revegging if they were left on for too long. Noticed leaf tips are all nute burned so they are at their maximum for ppm as far as nutrient uptake is concerned. Going to back the ppm off by 250 in the next feeds and continue to observe the leaf tips. Plants are still recovering from a nute lockout that caused a mg deficiency and took away a lot of bottom growth from all 4 plants. Ph is back on track and plants are growing rapidly again. Stay blessed and happy growing 😎

Buds are packing on the weight. Had to tie a couple that fell over on the side lower offshoots. Trichomes are plentiful on the gorilla breath. Waiting for my jewelers lupe to arrive so I can get a closer look but were sitting at week 7 day 1 here and my Master Kush is looking like it's at the end of its rope. Going to start the flush on Mondays feed and hopefully get 1.5-2 weeks before these girls get chopped.
