These girls are growing faster than soil in the coco. Raspberry Cough is the largest of the seedlings. One more week under the fluorescent lights and then we will move under the LEDs in the tent. Once we get to 5 nodes, I plan to top them above the 2nd true node. This topping technique (Uncle Bens topping technique) results in four main colas.
Continuing to foliar feed with seaweed extract.
Monday. Transplanted the largest plant (Raspberry cough) to a 5 gallon and moved into the grow tent. Still less root development than I expected, so I’m leaving the rest of the seedlings in one gallon containers. I just topped them above the 2nd true node, which will give me 4 main colas.
Buds coming along very nicely! Spectacular work growmie. Keep doing what it is you've been doing and may the ganja garden gods give you good fortunes until the end
@Walty, Looks like you have had some really nice harvests. I am very close to pulling the trigger on a timber set up. We have only been thinking about it for a couple years now...lol... I'm not crazy about having to water every day so doubtful I will do the coco thing. Usually watering everyday is required towards the end of flower. That is enough for me. I may call Dan today and chat about a 4X4 timber set up. I like the redwood set up but think I would like a little more light added too it. maybe 1 or 2 more lights. 4 healthy plants in a 5X5 should give them plenty of room in there.
@Giturdun, hey man!! The Timber grow lights have been a nice upgrade. Fewer heat issues, and if anything I had difficulty keeping the grow warm enough. The nutes are simple and cheap, and I had a lot of success with them. Given the amount of water that coco uses (1 gallon per plant per day) there’s a lot of money to be spent on nutes. The General Hydroponics trio worked great and we’re pretty affordable to refill. I followed the General Hydroponics schedule but only used 50 percent of recommended levels. I also was religious about 5.8 PH on my water.
Coco was a fun experience too.
Overall I regret running 6 plants in my 5x5. I’m going back to four plants.
@Walty, Although there was a ton of smack talking going on in Rollitup concerning the Kind LED lighting, after over 4 years of using the 750W, it works perfectly fine and has produced some very nice harvests here. Averaging two harvests per year has been nice. However; I still have the itch for the timber...lol
Nice grow dude! I'm currently running raspberry cough and jock horror as well as five other strains. I'm curious to know if you used the light, medium, or heavy feeding schedule, as I am also running the same nutes as you.
