JuanHaze_Arg Day 22. Starting the 4th week of vegetative. Woke up strong. It has the structure of a sativa. Day 23 watering with 1 liter of plain water. Day 24 I took it out in the sun to perk it up a bit since I see it drooping. At first glance, it has an excess of nitrogen. The first leaves got a bit burned and the bigger ones are clawing at the tips. Next watering on day 25 with Big One from Top Crop. 2ml/liter. Apply LST.

Grow Questions

JuanHaze_Argstarted grow question 6y ago
Hey! I need help. I have some leaves with just one finger bent in the middle. Like the finger is contracting. What could it be? I water every other day with water and once a week with Top Auto from Top Crop. I haven't fertilized in 7 days.
Solved
Leaves. Curl down

I agree with @MiPotFarm, those look like lower leaves on the outside edge of you tent. When that door is closed they're gonna be even more covered by the canopy above. Lower leaves will claw like that if they dont get enough light. If it was heat stress, they would curl the other direction. The only other thing it might be is mild wind burn, but I didnt see any fans in any of your pictures so i dont think that's it. I wouldn't worry about it too much, those leaves are gonna be the first to yellow and fall off anyways. Good luck!

JuanHaze_Arg Day 22 of flowering. I'm applying the bio-stimulant Big One. And I find 4 or 5 balls coming out of the lower buds. Since it's my only plant, I'm going to keep watching to see what happens. I'll check every day and try to remove any I find. 😔 Day 29. No more balls are found. It seems it was just stress from heat or cold watering.

JuanHaze_Arg The buds are starting to fatten up slowly. 44 days into flowering, a layer of soil mulch is added to the surface of the pot to cover some visible roots. It worsened the water drainage to the roots. 46 days into flowering. The fattening is slow. There are no deficiencies or excesses. Day 47. Monster bloom is applied at 0.3 grams per liter of water.

JuanHaze_Arg The strain was very good. A vigorous growth. Energetic. The flowers fattened up a lot being a sativa hybrid. I recommend it. The only problem I had was the humidity at night. I couldn't get it below 70% and this triggered botrytis mold. I regret not being able to continue until the final maturation of the trichomes. Great plant!!! You must check the Trichome on the flowers, not on the leaves. Also, upper flowers become cloudy/amber earlier. Check them all! I really liked your setup! Could you please post a picture or tell me the reference of your led? Do you like it?
Psilocubensis
Psilocubensis commented6y ago
@JuanHaze, I liked ! You also put a button, great! How about the heat sink, is that enough, without "fins"? You got a great result out of it!
JuanHaze_Arg
JuanHaze_Arg commented6y ago
@Psilocubensis, yes! The heatsink is a sheet of aluminum about 1 or 2 millimeters thick. The LEDs, being separated and not having the integrated driver, don't heat up as much as the COB. The drivers are on top. The bulb doesn't have a heatsink. In fact, being enclosed, it heats up more at the bulb than the panel! The button is to try to save more light during veg hahaha. Thank you very much!
Psilocubensis
Psilocubensis commented6y ago
@JuanHaze,oh! you are right, the heat source of cob are the integrated compounds... And also have a huge square of light. Great grow dude! Have a Shroom1!!1!!! 🙌

@Tino14, hey! I'm glad you liked it! It turned out to be a really good plant. I had several issues, but they all taught me something to keep improving. It has about 19 liters. And no transplants. Next time I'm going to do it with 18 liters to save space. Good smokes!

Great harvest!! The final buds are really beautiful! I do suggest Calcium Chloride for dehumidifier, it's cheap and also easy. At market they sell it as "anti-mold" pick the neutral, or just buy the "CaCl²" and make the reservoir for it! It does leave a closed place at 15% rh. I use to keep seeds, pc hardware, etc.
Psilocubensis
Psilocubensis commented6y ago
@JuanHaze, Slow drying is the best, care with cacl² not to overly dry your plants! humidifier might tell high humidity, but it could be "sucking" water from plants. Ventilation in drying room is ideal, by cause the risk os stagnated air and mold creation. I would leave indirect fans blowing the buds, just to make air circulation, and the extraction for sure! Care not to dry them too fast...
JuanHaze_Arg
JuanHaze_Arg commented6y ago
@Psilocubensis, I'm going to do that. Fans on then and the extraction on. Thank you very much for your advice. It's really helpful!
Psilocubensis
Psilocubensis commented6y ago
@JuanHaze, analyzing you soil, i see that most of the soil had no roots! Perlite and coco coir is a great advantage over earth only. If you do that the roots are going to breath more, and develop all over the soil. Also lateral holes help the soil to stay oxygenated, that's why most of the roots are in the base, there are the only holes I believe...

Hey, can I ask you a question? Did the galpneras last longer with that homemade heatsink? Is the effort worth it if you have the materials? Thanks!
JuanHaze_Arg
JuanHaze_Arg commented4y ago
@Mytrichomedgarden, hey buddy! look! I made them like this because of the space the grow lights took up. I took them apart and put them on the aluminum plate, plus they don't heat up as much as the bulb, it's way more comfortable. they're still working fine now. A week ago, one single LED from the 6500k burned out, but everything kept working without issues. I built the panel 3 years ago and added the 660nm reds a year ago. if you take the photos apart and transfer them to the plate, a good layer of thermal/silicone grease is the key to the LEDs' lifespan, it really only takes about 3 hours of work to assemble them. I hope this helps you, feel free to message me privately if you need anything. hug!

Mytrichomedgarden commented4y ago
@JuanHaze_Arg, what a great buddy! Awesome, then I’m going to do it! It’s worth it, I have two Philips that I drilled and they get airflow, they’re doing really well temperature-wise! But the BAW need that aluminum plate since they raise the temperature! So I’m going to do it! Thanks!
