Really excited bout this grow. It'll be my first time growing autos. Started germinating today Feb 16th
Day 2 of germination. Switched to paper towel from the glass of water
Day 3. 2/18. Kinda upset because no tap root literally at all and I believe there should be. 😔
Day 4. 2/19 1 out of 4 have shown taproot. Put the one in a peat pellet and planted right away
Day 6. The 3 others germinated. Planted in a mix of chicken compost, sphagnum peat moss, coco coir and perlite in 5 gallon pots
Feb 23rd. Day 1 for white widow auto #1. Added some earthworm casting to the soil and added like half to a full water bottle of reverse osmosis water. Still waiting on the other 3 seedlings to poke through soil
Feb 25th. Day 3. I'm surprised at how small these plants are compared to photo period plants.
Feb 27th. Day 5. They seem to be growing good so far
Day 12. Watered without nutes
Day 14. Just took pictures. Growth seems to be more accelerated past couple days. Dunno if its because I raised the light or turned up the fan speed or not or just because root mass is finally getting to a good size for the container
Day 15. Watered with cal mag nutes
Day 21: plant #2 has shown pistils. The rest of the plants haven't shown any signs of starting to flower yet
Day 24: watered plants with plain water
Day 27: watered with nutes. Topped plant #4. Plants 2 and 3 are the only 2 outta the 4 showing pistils. Also started some low stress training on them. Also want to harden them off to be able to put them outside eventually. Plant # 1 has stayed short so far through its whole life. It was the first seed to pop out of these 4 and was 2 days earlier than the other 3. But it was the smallest seed I could find out of the 20 that I received. So it's interesting to see that the seed size actually proved to be the size of the plant as well💚
Day 32. Plant #4 responded well so far to the topping. Plant #2 have done well with the lst training previously done. Just watered with plain water today, added some worm castings to the top soil
Day 38. Plants are becoming monsters
Day 42: they're finally starting to flower all the way. Added some bone meal for added phosphorous. Also watered with half dose of flowering nutrients and a little bit of cal mag.
Day 45: added some bone meal to the the top soil again. Theyre turning into more of monsters with each day. I had to supercrop( was curious as well) ans wondering the autos can handle it. Wish me luck. Loving the genetics though
Day 48. Applied some more super cropping. Watered w/ bloom nutes @ half strength
4/26 day 63. Watered with nutes
4/28 day 65. Plants are starting to differ in their smells. Each plant might be a different phenotype. One of them smells super sweet and floral kinda and them one smells similar but less sweet and more skunky. Really excited with these plants💚
4/29 day 66. Watered with beastie bloomz. The phenotypes that are the long slender leaves, are the ones that smell super sweet and the plants with the short wide leaves, is the plant with a skunky pheno smell
5/1 day 68.
Plant#1= 30inches
Plant#2= 26 inches but shes the frostiest🙏💚
Plant#3=34 inches shes the most mature with most orange hairs so far and she has a mild sweet-slightly skunky
Plant#4= 32 inches. Shes the pheno thats super floral/ sweet amell
Everythings going good. I wish I had another light though
Day 74: the more sativa sweet pheno, I swear had pink pistols
One of yhe plants is super frosty. More so than the others.
And one of the other plants is more indica with dark orange hairs and big ball round nugs
5/18 harvested one plant. Gonna give the other 2 another week
Very happy about everything with these plants. Every plant was a different pheno though. Some similiar to others but not 100% nonetheless every single pheno is an exceptional plant. Robert Bergman and ILGM.com are 10/10 so far in my book
This was a really easy grow from start to finish. I just germinated and they did all the work. Beautiful plants. A sweet pheno. A smaller but super frosty pheno and then the other was more indica with big round ball nugs. Looked super pretty with orange hairs everywhere. The sweet pheno was more sativa with long slender nugs. 10/10 for these plants. Crazy that it was only 90 days. I'll update with the dry weight when possible
Got basically 2 ozs per plant give or take.
@YoungSmoke, no problem man! Actually I have only just recently heard of doing that. It makes sense as to why it would work but it also seems to scary/ aggressive to me. Some people say squeeze the seed to check if its a good seed or not but id be too afraid to destroy it ya know? Plus I've had soft seeds actually end up quite well. Where if i wouldve squished it, it wouldve just been thrown away.
@DaddyPrime, Back to your question on the WW ILGM genetics: Now that we've had a chance to try it out across a couple of grows, these things are what my son calls FIRE! We smoked some flower and pressed some rosin, both were exceptional.
@DaddyPrime, I'm seeing lots of small buds on plants that are 15" and 22" at 9 weeks, and some variety in the plants. Some are more indica dominant -- bushy and short with fat leaves, while others are sativa-like -- tall, skinny with thin leaves. I think I have 3 or 4 more weeks until harvest, then I'll have some real data for you!
The picture in week 2 (ww day 5) is that day 5 total or after sprout? I ask because this is my first time growing and I planned seed directly into the final pot and it sprouted on May 1st and today is May 5 and it looks similar to the size of your WW. I’ve seen a lot of growers on day 5 who’s leaves look much larger than mine I’m not sure if I’m doing anything wrong of if it’s normal.
@DaddyPrime, I’m enjoying your diary bro! Good work! Do you water until runoff? And if so, in the beginning stages do you allow runoff or you just go by look and feel? I’m messing my autos all up and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong because one looks strong and the other one is constantly drooping as if I overwater. I’m in Coco with pearlite but my coco seems to take a while to dry out probably because my humidifier is constantly running if not my humidity goes down into the 40s. The humidifier is keeping the coco moist which I think is negatively impacting the plants? I’m not sure
@GetLit420, that was after sprout for all of them except ww #1 which sprouted 2 days quicker than the other 3 but ended up being the smallest plant but it was also the smallest seed. In my experience. Seed size actually played a roll in plant size with these feminized autoflowers
