At my friend's house he has seeds that he got in Mexico from a giant operation. He said he just wanted to buy some green while on vacation down south, and the guy he met took him to where they grow and showed him the plants. No idea how big the space was but he said huge. They gave him a baggie of seed to grow, and he found some seed in the bud which he said he didn't keep. Hoping he didn't bring home schwaggy Hermie bag seed and instead find something worth keeping.
Extremely variable and mixed genetics means this will be a fun little project.
He had 11 seeds and wanted more, so every time I go over to his place and checking up on the plants and keeping a log. We will be selectively breeding these 11 plants, sativa to sativa, Indica to indica, that kind of thing. The goal is to just produce more seed, but not so randomly that we have no idea what it is; it'll be nice to know whether it's a sativa or indica dominant growth style. There will be no bud produced from this grow diary, just pollen and seed.
Seeds were labelled with the ID MEXxx where the last two digits are number based on how fast they germinated, 01 germinated the fastest and had the longest taproot whereas 11 took an extra day.
Stick around maybe I'll put some observations keep you all informed.
Great diary! I liked to read. Tell me, are you going to keep crossing? How about the smell on plants who were pollinated?
Remember that you can always cross female with female with colloidal silver or sts. For 99% female. But I believe that's a final step after choosing many specials male plant.
Greetings from Russia! Your plants look great! Keep developing in the same spirit! If you are interested in following the adventures of weed in Russia, subscribe to my diary
