Two plants of the same strain, treated equally, and they were both so different. One plant definitely outgrew the other. I would say this bud is kinda larf-y but of course environmental factors come into play here. My boyfriend and I have had different experiences with smoking this. For me, it knocks me off my ass and straight into sleep. It feels extremely heavy in the nose and eye area. A bit of a body high. Overall, for a first grow is was relatively easy and stress-free, but I don't know if we would grow this again (despite having some more seeds!)

A seriously challenging size, but that's part of the fun! We're going from 5 gallon to 3 gallon pots for the next grow, two 5 gallons in this size tent is overkill.

Chopped them down on Tuesday, June 16 after 48 hours of darkness. They dried until Monday, June 22. Probably a little over-dried, could have been brought down over the weekend... trimming has been WORK. There's a lot of larfy bud, which is disappointing, but we're making the best of it. They were jarred on June 22 and 23!

Day 2 of Week 5 here for this auto. Here are photos of the top of the leaf and underneath it. Could it possibly be bugs? That's our hunch.

It's a type of nute burn. Are you measuring your feeding strength? 5 gallon of soil does not need any nutrients for quite some time.

We have two autos in 5 gallon pots in a small 24"x24"x48" tent. One of our plants is inches away from the LED grow light and it's experiencing light stress for sure. What can we do to get these plants to harvest as best as possible? We are LSTing now.

Lst is your best option with ladies that have grown too tall ideally you wanna be catching nodes before they go skyward but in a situation like this your gonna just be as gentle as you and get them node bent over... Any breakage is fine and can be repaired with tape. We still wanna be as gentle as possible. Your totally on the right track.. Not a newbie mistake per say as it's a common occurrence in many an indoor grow operation.

@najo91, it's like this. 3 gallon of soil, lasts me 6 to 7 weeks before needing liquid feedings. 5 gallons could last you to mid flowering or even all the way to the end. I would stop feeding until you start seeing the first signs of deficiencies.

@@@Athos, we just began feeding nutrients in week 4 at 1/2 the recommended strength (Fox Farm Grow Big). We are using Ocean Forest soil which we know is already very hot for autoflowers so that's why we left them alone for the first 3 weeks with just pH balanced water. I will probably reduce to 1/4 the recommended strength, then.

Hey dude, don't look at the trichomes on the leaves, look at the trichomes on the calyxs. I checked back at week 11 and I could see a few good calyx shots in your last macros, you looked 100% cloudy in those, I'd bet you're inching into 10% Amber territory right now. Can you take a few more pictures? If you see a leaf in the image move further in towards the bud.

@najo91, That's fantastic news!!! FYI, you don't have to flush, you don't have to do darkness, both of those are bro science. You can go straight from chop to dry, wet trim/dry trim is also totally preference. I prefer to leave on all the leaves and do a first trim after 3 days and let it continue drying if it needs to. Some of the smaller branches on my critical purple were already ready, so they're in a jar, while the larger branches are still drying. I'm pretty new to this also, so feel free to do some more research! One of the big problems is it's incredibly difficult to separate the grower bro science from actual science, and you'll have people who've been growing for 40 years telling you some silly Santeria magic shit 😂. But darkness and flush are about as effective as sacrificing a goat over a copper bowl. This is a heavy Indica strain, you can chop now on the 5% amber and you'll be happy with the effects (it reached close enough to full potential at 90% cloudy). You could chop anytime between now and 5-20% amber on the other plant. The more amber you let it get, the more sedated the high. Slightly different for hybrids, slightly different for Sativas (some of which will never amber). It's partially due to the terps levels in the strain, it's also partially related to how much THC you have over CBN (highly simplified). That happens as the trichomes color to amber. So much to learn, you never stop!

@AWistfulNihilist, thank you so much for your comment. I didn't know about not looking at the trichomes on the leaves. It's pretty difficult to take decent pics with the crappy loupe we have, but I took a look at the trichomes on the calyxes and for one of my plants, you're right, it's pretty much 100% cloudy with 5% amber or so, and for my other plant, like 90% cloudy 10% glassy. I think I'm gonna give them one more week because I haven't flushed yet :( I honestly thought we had a long way to go.

I had similar issues with my Critical Purple. It grew to 60" and the main cola was right up at the lights pulled up as far as they could go. It did fine until the temps in my tent got too high and baked the buds. But the light itself didnt damage the buds. I was using a blurple light with 300w actual draw. Good airflow can help. Keeping the temps below 80 will help. Your lamp is about 135w actual draw so I believe even if it is really close it should do fine if you have good breezes blowing on the buds near the light, but it shouldnt touch the lights. May have to position the light to the side and angle it. I shortened the hanging hardware on my lights so I could get it as high in the tent as possible. If you see signs of bleaching or scorching on the buds nearest the lights, small piece of parchment paper placed on the buds that are really close to the lights can help reduce some of the problems.

@Weird_Jimmy, I've done as you suggested, I pushed the light to the side and angled it sharply and I honestly think that's better. Thank you for all your advice, this is gold!

in my experience .. dont use that ph up down crap just find good water to complement your nutis with. i use fridge filtered well water. its just so happins to end up being 6ph after all the nutis. we buy the expensive filters too that filter naproxin and chlorine out. add in some seaweed based feed and plant oils "purpleinator" works really well, maybe even some amino acids too. youll see your next grow explode. also defoliate and do some lst training. secondly top or fim your plants. 12 branches a plant and dont let it flower till the 7-10th node on the branches appear. also id be feeding tiger bloom 3.5-5mg/gal with big bloom 10mg/gal right now, add in some calmag too 1mg/gal every feeding and 30mg/gal of purplinator. "and those amino acids i mentioned"
