Gelato Auto by Canuk

Here we go with my third run doing 2 Canuk Gelato Auto and 2 Canuk Purple Kush autos, gonna do separate diaries for each strain from now on. Should be a fun one

Not much to report, they’re growing second sets of leaves now. First set on all plants came in looking pretty rough, dunno if soil is hot or what, reused soil from last grow mixed with new soil for this run. Either that, the lights are a bit close or they’re a bit cold in there. Second sets of leaves looking fine coming in so far. They should take off soon.

They’re finally really starting to take off now, all bounced back from the bit of whatever shock they had. All making healthy new leaf now. Hit them with small doses of calmax and fish ferts, seem like they’re gonna explode in the next few weeks, i hope so anyways.

Another easy week, all plants began to show female pre flowers at the end of last week, Gelatos are the bigger plants so far this grow vs the Purple Kush, i’m following some auto feed charts now which seems to be keeping them all happy. Hoping they all go into power stretch mode here over the next few weeks.

Plants doubled up on size this week, The bigger Purple Kush of the two has passed my big Gelato, this week was pure stretch mode. They’re well showing flowers now so I’ll be upping flower nutes and lowering veg to get them focused on making bud for the last few weeks of the grow. Stoked to see how they finish now. Think I wanna do a few auto runs maybe in a row just to get used to running them.

Week 6 Nothing but stretch mode again this week. The Gelatos didn’t stretch as tall as my mutant Purple Kush growing along side em but they seemed to stretch and bush up in a more balanced way, the second gelato in the back has almost caught up to the big one this last week but not quite. We have pre flower everywhere now so it’s time to get em on the flower nute cycle, been interesting to watch how autos go so far to say the least. Let’s see what kinda bud they make over the next few weeks.

They finally stopped stretching and now they’re stacking on buds, all plants got some minor nute burn on some leaf, gonna go back to feeding every third watering, it’s time to really cut the veg mix anyways, hopefully I can keep em happy for their last few weeks. Just starting to smell nice in the grow space, These Gelatos are quite a bit shorter but are making thicker stacks than the Purple Kush they’re growing along side, gonna keep the temps down and hopefully bring out some color in em. Gonna be giving them some hours in the sun too now that it’s getting nice out, hopefully that’ll give em a boost too. Another good week!

These Gelatos are short but fat and stacking like mad now, seem like they’re gonna finish with big solid main colas, starting to smell fruity and delicious, whole run has been super easy so far minus trying to balance nutes with these autos which is quite a bit different than photos. Just let em go basically and they do their thing. All my plants are loving the few hours of real sun they’re getting when it’s nice out lately., hopefully that helps stacks the smaller under growth that the leds don’t get to as well. This week and next should be the last weeks of feeding and then we flush em. Been a fun easy run so far.

Just like my purple kush ladies the Gelatos are loving the 6-8 hours of sun they’re getting whenever it’s nice out. These gals are short but they’re very nicely stacked from top to bottom and just keep getting thicker. Just starting to smell strong with a sweet skunky fruity smell that should be interesting to see how it develops over the next few weeks. Also just getting some pink and purple highlights in the buds and sugar leaves. These are gonna be some nice chunkers once they’re finished. They don’t seem to like the nutes as much as the purple kush as I saw them get some nute burn a few weeks back but they’re alright and snapped out of it. Stuck with some ugly fans from it but not gonna sweat it. Few more weeks and they all get the chop. Been almost too easy growing this run of autos honestly. Gonna run a mix of outdoor and indoor photo plants for the summer run and then probably take another crack at autos in the fall for another quick turnover. Happy growing y’all!

Started to flush early in the week but really looking them over I decided to give then one more final feed which they seemed to respond to excellently, these last two weeks have been pure bud stacking. They weren’t looking like they’d yield too well before that but i’m happy with how they’re stacking for the finish. Let the dry out from the last feed and began flush yesterday, looks like they’ll be finished right on schedule in week 11.

Just as easy as the Purple Kush autos they ran with, great solid bud structure from top to bottom, Seed to stoned in 11/12 weeks, too easy. Love the skunky dankness with this one, the terps it derives it’s name from are there but quite subtle compared to other Gelato cuts, it’s much more on the dank skunky side which I love just as much as sweet fruity weed. I’ll likely hit uo the local shop for some more Canuk auto seeds for my fall run, just as good as anything else I’ve ran so far.
