Hello! This is my first grow with a setup I have yet to fully complete! So to start I got my seeds from a friend who has grown some QCS seeds in the past, QCS apparently gives out og kush seeds away with their orders! Lucky for me I get some quality seeds for free to see what I can manage! I believe I'll start some nutes around week 3 or 4, the soil I was looking for was not stocked so I got as close as I could get. I'm using an organic promix, it's not ideal as it has some nutes added. I started my seeds in a garden tray dome as that is how I've always started my garden vegetables and low and behold they all germed. I was worried about the trays size so I carefully transplanted them into cloth pots on day 4 after hitting the soil dry. These photos are 7 days after opening the seed vials! One big set up problem I have right now in week one is no humidifier, my humidity has dropped as low as 35%! Today on day 7 I have set up a humidifier! Looking forward to week 2!

Day 14 finally! I've been excited to update, this watching plants grow for the first time builds so much anticipation. The little girl stuck in her pod on day 7 I really should have helped. I noticed she was falling behind and plucked the rest of the seed pod off day 10, she has been playing catch up! I hope she straightens out, live and learn. I had read plants continue to feed on the pod as they sprout and had thought she would kick it off herself when she was done! I got a humidifier on day 8 as planned, however it only has 2 settings, neither of which works perfect for me. I started it on high and when I came back to check about 6 hours later the res was almost empty and my tent was over 90% RH... I turned it down obviously and kept a closer eye. The low setting only keeps my tent at just under 60% and i would think i should aim higher. An inkbird humidity/thermostat pair would be in my best interest, I'll hope to pick some up well before flower! My goal this week is too add my planned air flow in. I'm gonna find a small fan and plug in my tents exhaust fan, I may try my humidifier on high with this set up to see what that settles at! I find right now my plants shake a little from my heaters fan air bouncing around and 2 vents being opened but I want something blowing on them!

Been excited for this update as I can't believe it, who'd have guessed weed grows like a weed! I've been noticing a bit of leaf curl on them and as a newbie i tried to make some slight adjustments. I added some air flow and reduced heat slightly as someone kindly recommended to me. I let them get a bit dryer before watering by lifting them to gage when to water, like a house plant. The closest girl to my humidifier also developed some unusual holes and twists in a couple of its leaves, I looked around for any pests but it only seems to have affect it. So I moved my humidifier a bit further away as another precaution! Today I set up a small table fan and my exhaust fan to shake my leaves a little and too keep them strong, soon I hope you start some LST on the 2 that I have topped! The little girl is sure catching up. I made a purchasing error. My bio grow is technically produced for hydroponics and my biobloom is supposed to be mixed into the substrate! Hahaha can only laugh at myself. I'm gonna do some research and see if I can still top water with what I got as I assume our grow shops are shut down with the virus going around. I was really hoping to say I'll be starting to feed them but there is a chance I'll have to wait! See what happens next Friday.

Day 28 finally! Week 4 update! As of yesterday all 4 have been topped! The 3rd I topped day 24 I believe! I swapped the small one to a different corner but other then that not to many changes this week to report. The airflow and exhaust have been good, I have not tried my humidifier back on the high setting though. I started nutes after thinking it over, I'm starting to run a small amount of biothrive grow from general organics. I'll slowly increase the dose and maybe add a small amount of calmag+ also from general organics. I had to use PH up after adding nutes too the water. I'm still not sure if this is gonna work well as like I mentioned my grow and calmag+ are made for a hydro setup! I've started lightly bending the new main colas to the side in Hope's I can tie them down and start LST soon on the first 2 I topped. I love how some guys stems look when they lst and mainline! Till next Friday!

Its friday and its week 5!!! Over the week I've slowly increased my grow nutes to 3ML/L and added in some calmag, I think I'll run 3MLS all week then up it to 4ml/l with 1ml/l of calmag. I definitely started some LST this week tying down and spreading the nodes out, they really seem to like it! I've had to up their water intake quite a bit. They almost need 1L a day now each! My plan this week is to continue LST (the small girl I have yet to do any) One of the bigger 3 definitely seems like a less leafy phenom I would have to guess, still hoping I have a bunch of females in there! From what i can tell they arent showing sex yet and wont for awhile!

Week 6 is here! After last weeks pics I was away for a whole day and came back with 2 laying down dehydrated. Lucky for me I was able to revive them and only had to trim a few yellow leaves! I'm gonna up the feed to 4MLS grow 1mil calmag for the last bit of veg before adding bloom maybe next week! All 4 have now been spread out with LST and I cant wait for them to start filling my tent! Till next week!

Day 49! The girls are looking absolutely stunning. I really wish I could have moved them to bigger pots before corona hit but as I have them in 3 gallon pots I have decided to switch my lights! This should be my last week of veg! Today on day 49 i have added 10.5 grams of biobloom powder from green house feeding too some soil and gave the girls a top dressing then watered about 2liters to each except the small one. The small girl is starting to develop some funky leaves, I believe it is due to over watering, I feed them all at the same time and usually the same ammount and she just drinks a little slower then the rest, will try to correct this issue with her. Next week I should definitely be able to tell if they are actually girly girls or not! I'm excited to see how they adjust!

Week 8 and it's been a full week of 12/12! At the beginning of this week I added 10.5 grams of biobloom powder to each pot, the recommended dose for an 8 week flower is 12gs. I went a bit under. Quebec cannabis seeds has my genetics listed as a 7-8 week flower roughly. The nutrient input doesnt really have an input for this so I'm gonna list it at 1ml/l hope it doesn't create confusion. To be honest I was hoping by today the girls would be showing more but there isnt a whole lot of pistols yet! I removed alot of lower leaves before switching lights, might have been wise to do it a week earlier, a buddy advised me not to do much removal in early/mid flower, that it's best to do it before or very late flower, but live and learn! First timer! The small girls leaves kept getting worse with more wrinkle and then I found a problem matching her signs, it definitely looks like the leaves are doing that because of PH fluctuations, the bigger 3 must have just been more resistant or capable of handling my laziness and the fact I'm only using PH test strips for this grow! I've been tempted to take her out and let the other 3 take over the tent but I just cant unless she starts growing nuts haha! Hoping next friday I'll have some real flowers to show off! Till then

14 days of 12-12 today and my 5x5 is pretty much full, no where to go but up!! There's finally many noticeable pistols on each plant. A few calyx near the ends have opened up too, I think its visible it atleast one close up! No balls at all from what I can see The weeks had its troubles. The little ones finally starting its stretch and the rest just keep going, the tallest one is definitely a water pig, unfortunately she got dehydrated a little and seems to have aborted a branch, I trimmed it off as the leaves were not bouncing back, gives me some worries as a new grower. Not too many changes to include i just slowed down on my grow and calmag a little and I think I'll keep this nute schedule for another week and then I have a pk booster that goes well with my bloom to start adding to every other water! Really looking forward to some bigger flowers next week! But atleast they are starting and for the most part looking pretty healthy! Till next week

week 10! Happy Friday my growmies, I've decided to stop trying to take a photo of each plant this week, they have totally just taken over any space they could! The little one stretched and is now caught up, seems to always be that week behind since the start! A few wrinkled leaves getting bigger but the new ones look healthy again! Smell hasn't increased to much yet but I'm expecting that to come. My humidity has now been the opposite problem as I had at the start! My tent has been hovering around 70-80% after watering with my humidifier already taken out of the tent! I have ordered a mini dehumidifier and opened up more vent holes! Hope I don't get too much light leakage. No changes in nutes yet but I will be starting pk booster this week and adding more bloom powder! See how it goes next week!

Week 4 of flower and all 4 of the girls are full on preflower now! Humidity has become a huge problem this week but today a small dehumidifier was delivered, hope it can help me out. Spring weather is humid around here! Grow nutes have been cut out and I started pk booster from the same company as my bloom nutes every other water according to package directions. It works out about 1g per gallon right now. Continuing a small amount of calmag, not sure if I should cut that out or not? The roots have started to grow through the pot on one girl! Definitely should have gotten them in 5gal pots, I hope it doesn't create some problems.

Hello I'm new, currently having humidity problems in flower. 2 of my plants have a small amount of white fuzz mold on top of the soil. I read i can try to remove it and sprinkle ground cinnamon on top and let them dry out, any suggestions on ammount of cinnamon or what I can do?

You can mix 20% milk with water and spray the affected areas. The mix won't hurt your plants. You may have to keep at it though.

More humidity trouble this week, same old story lately. Added more circulation to the grow area which has been helping alot! I stopped feeding calmag and have fed 1.5g of pkbooster per 4L, gonna ramp up a bit more this week. I had some white fuzz mold on top of the soil of 2 girls, I let them dry out, scratched the surface up and watered and it didn't return which was awesome. Made me worry. A suggestion I got and was gonna use if it came back was feeding 20% milk 80% water, hasn't come to that yet. Hopefully over the week I can continue to decrease my humidity as my buds start to form! Till next week!

Smell has really started to increase this week! The buds are starting to form and spiral up! Its been glorious! Humidity has still been fairly high but it hasn't gone over 60 so its slowly getting better even after watering! Up to 2g per gal of booster on feed days, no signs or burn. Getting pretty excited I think 2-3 more weeks!

Well what a week! So I have decided to give my little one away to finish at a friend's. The bigger ones started to fall over on her and she had no room at all. The 2 that had squished her into the corner have fallen over a bit, not sure what I should do, im probably gonna just try to let them bounce themselves back up im hoping! Enough of the bad, the good news is the 3 I kept have been doing awesome! Getting fatter by the day! How to have some nicer looking pics next week without colas laying on the floor! Happy Friday.

Late update this week but the photos were taken on time! spent 3 days camping unable to upload them The girls remaining seem to be slowing down on the water intake ive noticed, but they sure are plumping up I've been removing dead leaves and larf and trying to remove trapped leaves but its difficult, regardless they seem to be doing great, Scrog net sure would have been handy this grow! Next week I'll try to get some close up pics but I'm thinking I still have a little bit to go!

Busy week! Things seem to be slowing down! Gonna take a peak over the week to see how the trichs are doing! Might be close to flushing. Still feeding booster every other water currently, some plants seem to shed some big leaves, a few hairs are turning brown, overall doing alright! I added some close ups of some of the biggest colas, hope the quality is good enough too see. From what I can tell its like 70% milky but I don't see any Amber's.

Well the weeks been full of floods, work and helping the community but I've been able to keep checking on the girls! I have decided to start the flush on the girl in the first 2 photos, her trichs are almost all milky, a friend gave me a shot of overdrive for her to start her flush off, im a noob and gonna see how the overdrive helps her finish before giving it to the other 2. I kept inquiring about a flushing agent for my bloom line but my local grow store talks up how my line shouldn't need any extra flush other then straight water for the last week, so we shall see. Unfortunately I keep having to prop the girls up, the stems haven't been strong enough for the buds that grew at all so its been a struggle! I think they seem to be maturing about a week apart, maybe I'll cut them each week on picture Friday! Hoping they finish strong! Till then

Well right after last week my grow kinda came to an end, the 2 tallest colas on the least mature, but biggest plant had developed small patches of mold which had rotted small portions of the bud. Humidity finally caught up to me in a deadly way, but I can't control our crazy 2020 July floods! The 2 that I had already started flushing I decided to harvest immediately! I feel over all I could have gotten more mature and bigger buds had I had a chance to let them keep going but I'm not disappointed with the smoke. After drying I smoked some test buds and I'm quite enjoying it. I cut the buds down on the one with mold and let it grow about 6 more days. After the initial rot I didn't find anymore. I did cut one more bud off the day b4 I harvested it as a precaution but shes been drying almost 2 days now and everything's looking good. She's definitely the biggest, I hope she drys without any problems and I can update the harvest weights. I wet trimmed them in 2 different ways so I'm just gonna include the dried and trimmed weight as I put them into jars with humidity packs. The 2 in jars as you can see dried down quite a bit from the picture weight. Before putting into jars they weighed 141gs all trimmed up, hoping to get another 100 or so off the last one, bar rotting issues. Can't wait for next week's final update!

The 3rd and final girl has been trimmed, weighed and placed into curing jars! She added another 78grams making the total come to 219grams! I'm fairly happy with the result of my first grow! Id like to thank the community here on growdiaries. Without the hours I've spent looking through diaries, getting ideas, and learning, I've found this site invaluable! I hope my fellow growers keep on taking pics and sharing their experiences! Being my first grow and having to deal with manitoba flood humidity during late flower i believe i ended up with a decent harvest sitting in my jars. I really look forward to growing another photo strain in the future and perfecting my results but I think I'll be doing a run of autos first so I'll be back 😎😎 Post cure edit: These frosty buds matured into a dream to smoke. They really kick your ass and leave you breathless in a nice indica daze. Would not recommend for medical use for anyone with lung issues or super old smokers... but if you got some young lungs and wanna get fucked up, some good old OG kush will get it done boy! Happy growing if you check this strain out! I really would like to thank Quebec Cannabis Seeds for giving out such quality freebie photo seeds. All germed, all were female! Hope you have the same luck!
