Should I defoliate more then I did? I went to the second and third leaf on all mains. Kinda thinking Id leave more of the smaller stuff on the lower but I think I did an ok job with LST and Topping to keep the bottoms pretty cleanish. Plant 2 maybe more from the FIMMED top?
Youre gonna get answers from both sides of the camp for this one. Some people swear by defoliation, some people say never do it. Personally I only take leaves off that are already dead, or that just fall off when you touch them. But I know there's people out there that are the opposite end of the spectrum and they will cut almost everything off.....depends on whether the strain can handle it and your own personal grow style the most i would guess. So if you think you should take more , take a few more. The plants will tell you if you took too much. Good luck!
Was concerned I didnt take enough leafs right when I flipped. I think it is filling out the grid quite nicely. Plant 1 is coming in really nicely into the grid. The FIM plant 2 is crazy. It has so many tops I cant count them all. Very impressed with the genetics of this. Glad I took a bunch of clones. Im worried about height now. Hopefully week 2-3 flower stretch doesn't kill me.
Was prepping for the last major defoliation and it was stressing me out this whole time. Super glad I did was getting to leafy and dense. My plants will be thankful this time next week
Was worried about the defoliation earlier last week but these are just growing mad big. They are 47 inches from the floor including pots so I couldn’t have gone much higher in my tent. Stretch is officially over and now the weight is going to be packed on. I’m starting to smell the terpenes. Ultra skunky almost roadkill smell. Awesome. The best argument for filming and defoliation is being made during this grow. I’m a FIMMer for life if this goes the way it looks. Defoliation if timed right only makes sense for humidity and environment and bud growth!! I’m stoked the way these have been so far. Only 3.5 more weeks according to the breeders.
Did the flush a day later then planned due to waiting on a mini pump to help with removing the water from dishes. Stoked to start week 4 of flower day 23 of flower. Colors and smells are coming in really nicely end of week 4. Wow I smell POG and guava when I dig into the flowers. From a distance it smells like skunk or roadkill. Awesome .
Just starting week 5 flowering getting ready for the end of week flush. These girls are taking all the nutrients I can give her. Stoked on the smell strong guava and POG smell. Love it. Flush went well, on to week 6 flower !
After week 5 flush TDS is best perfect according to fox farms schedule. Both plants tds around 880-1100. Stoked. Hopefully more dark purple comes into play. Thinking of adding c02 into the tent but maybe next run. Anyone know about fox farm and their schedule in regards to after flushing, and adding nutrients?
Anyone know about or why fox farms nutrient schedule Adds nutrients After final flush? There’s more information about not adding nutrients to your watering after flushing before harvest. But fox farms telling users to add like three different ones? Organic ? Not sure why? anyone?
I'd just do what most everyone else does and stop feeding them then they just try to push the envelope with their feeding schedule. I find their doses to be too much too. I'll never go over 2/3 str of their recommend dose. Hopefully this helps! Happy Growing!
Darkness was sketchy but glad I did it. Should have cut plant 1 last week. Plant two looks great. Smells like candy. So stoked. Have two mothers and 4 clones ready to go. Clones went into flower earlier then anticipated had to “reveg” them then back into flower so they look funky. Might do a flower diary to show.
I’m pretty new at this, but have had good results so far with defoliating. It also keeps everything “cleaner” and easier to check up on than a forest of leaves in my opinion.
It does take time and effort though, which is one downside for sure
@@SpiderJar, definitely kept things cleaner. I’ve defoliated around the time I flip into flower schedule. Never 3 weeks into flower but this time I think it was totally worth it and helping make fat buds stack!
@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, how’s your self isolation diesel going? 1.5-2 weeks left for me on this purple turnover. It’s been almost 3 moth a of lockdown!!! Crazy least I have a crop coming in!
