The White Widow, Amnesia FAST, and mystery seeds given to me are actually a few weeks old. I started them before going on vacation and asked someone to look after them for me. When I returned they were still quite small, most likely due to a lack of sun, cold temperatures, and insufficient watering.
Seems like the wee ones have caught up nicely. You pretty much can't tell which ones were started first, except for maybe the white widow in the middle.
The defoliation here might have been a little aggressive for a first grow, but I was curious to see how far I could push my plants in terms of yield. 'Schwazzing' can apparently yield up to 3lb per light. Let's see if I can get close!
I was worried about my overzealous defoliation last week, but they recovered pretty quickly with robust growth up top. Flowers are beginning to develop and the smell is noticeable. The different strains are really starting to grow at different paces now. Some of them I've had to tie down to again to the netting to mitigate some of the unevenness.
Nothing too exciting. The little budlets are showing more development. I actually had to do a little bit LST to get the more stretchy ones under control (since I have such a dense grow)
Another fairly uneventful week, buds are coming along fine and temperatures have been relatively stable thankfully. I did notice a few leaves drop off the White Widow in the middle; most likely as a result of nitrogen deficiency. I did do a flush mid-week thinking some of the yellow tips on the other plants were a sign of some nutrient build up... which might have something to do with that.
Sour D, White Widow, and Critical are really starting to add to their bulk, but the amnesia fast is struggling and showing signs of deficiencies (see photos). Will gradually add more but not sure how much is too much...
Still struggling with some deficiencies- fewer leaves have fallen off in the last week but the leaves on some are still a little too yellow for my liking. Let's see if they recover next week.
More yellowing even after the addition of cal-mag. I tested the runoff at the end of this week and found the ph to be around 5.0. Still puzzled as to why since I had balanced all my watering to about 6.5. Regardless, I should've tested it way earlier. So, most of the deficiencies are probably caused by a ph imbalance. This is probably a good point to start flushing.
Looks like this will be the final week! The trichomes are developing really well, some of them even have about 10-20 percent turning amber. The nutrient lockout (or whatever is causing that funky wilting) seems to not have affected bud development all that much. Here's to hoping the product turns out well.
