Easy grow for sure! I am no expert but it was either finicky with overwatering or just my own newbiness. Did everything as promised by the breeder and more though!

Reviews. Nutrient
Worked perfectly well as far as I can tell but I can't imagine why they'd tell you to use their soil and then add nutrients to it at the same level. First month (or more) hardly needs any nutes whatsoever!

This is the top half of the plant, probably chopped a little early but the trichomes were developing much faster than the lower colas. I am experimenting with different drying techniques as the pictures show - this time I did half without trimming straight on the drying rack and the other half wet trimmed a bit and hung for a couple days before being put on the rack. I can't say that I can fully tell the difference after the final dry trim - both dries have nice, dense buds that aren't too dry. The biggest concern from most people's experience was that the buds flattened and dried way too quickly on the rack, which is why I tried leaving it untrimmed. As the bottom half is still in the buckets I couldn't use that area to dry and the best I could do was a 50-55%RH and 72-83° room. Though they dried in about 4.5 days I don't smell any extra grassy/hay-y/green smell that I read would be present with fast dries. Though it has only been curing for four days but I vaped some this morning and I had to take a little lay down before I could get anything done! I'm much more of a head/up/energy high but this is delicious and does its job for sure! From my experience with Blueberry Cough (and widows) I would have to say this is likely the Blue Widow strain that I got as a freebie from Jordan of the Islands. There is definitely a berry smell and flavor but it is not as prominent as the Cough had been. It was always very purple and not as frosty as White Widow tends to be either. Could always be a different phenotype, I'm going to e-mail JOTI and see if they have an opinion just from the looks of her. Dry weight is about 20g of trim/sugar leaves and 13-14g of manicured buds. I measured after they were in jars on a scale designed for larger weights so that is give-or-take. ****UPDATE**** Chopped the rest of her down last Friday, she finished drying WAY too fast (3 & 4 days) and are not nearly as pungent as the first batch harvested. Got about 10g trim and 14g of buds w/o the excess stems. I have to take the pictures off my DSLR tomorrow and upload them as they're much nicer! Got my new tent and lights up today, going to finish all that up tomorrow and will start a new journal for this plant growing in my backyard that has defied all odds! After she gets thrown in there (she just went into flower two days ago after re-vegging) I will fix up the Space Buckets so they're optimal and have some side lighting and NO MYLAR! Thanks for stopping by and following my grow!! I hope anyone will follow my upcoming ones - I promise they will only get better!

Grow Questions

Something is snacking on my plant! Snail/slug, inchworm/caterpillar seem the likeliest culprits - cricket or grasshopper have similar bites but are a little large to get in the buckets and disappear, as I am home to check her. Any help is appreciated!

I had the same kind of nibbles on my first grow. Turned out it was a cricket in my grow closet. One good reason for keeping a clean grow area. Crickets will eat dead and new tender leaves. They also eat small insects, so they are not all bad. Good luck finding the culprits.🌱🤞👌🏻

After my low humidity problem two days ago, she seems unhappy and the growth has basically stopped. I realize it should be slowing down at this third week but these brown, dry-looking areas are showing up between some of the leaves, the ones in the center being the worst. Thanks!

I would say its a nutrition burn. Maybe you are feeding them to much, or mixing all the products in the same watering so the EC is too high.

My runoff PH has been hitting mid-5s, even after flushing (w/ & w/o additive). Been trying to raise with higher PH water, used 7.25PH water today and the runoff was still 5.56. She looks healthy other than some discoloration in some leaves, so it isn't killing her but.....????

Iv never really understood these space bucket things coz its not very small, you could easily fit a small grow tent in the same space, and it isn't like they are even stealthy or subtle. Is it an extra grow just to play around with or something? good luck though, Im not poo poo-ing It at all, i just enjoy maximising use of space lol

@JKwonTheChef, when I first saw this I was like WTF. I’ve never seen anything like it. I know someone who made something similar with an old chest freezer. Good luck

@Rabidreject, hahaha no offense taken! The area and environment I'm working with just don't work for a tent - it's a garage and woodshop which I share. More often than not people are using small 5 gallon buckets for stealth but I live in a legal state so I don't care too much, though the Brutes look a bit better than a tent with the garage open. I've gone way overboard with mine - and I wasn't about to skimp on lights - but the base cost is much lower than the price of a tent alone. They've got some great examples at spacebuckets.com or r/spacebuckets on reddit.

I was separating my three different sets of seeds - 2 Blueberry Cough, 1 Blue Widow - and like an idiot mixed up one of the Blueberry Coughs and the Blue Widow. I'll be happy with either for a first (solo) grow.

I had the same bites. Turned out to be cricket. Didn’t mind cause saw lots of dead nasty’s the cricket killed. For me happens breeding season males travel for mate. Then they seem to disappear. Sry got on a rambling tangent. Plant looks good
