This turned out to be weird strain perhaps. This is supposed to be a 2:1 - CBD:THC varietal according to spec but I got two very different looking beasties between indoor and outdoor versions. I'll have some equipment soon to test the differences in these things - so we'll see.
This turned out to be weird strain. The indoor version (this diary) turned out to be the largest of my FastBuds spring collection - the outdoor version turned out to be the smallest (and she was showing some purple).
June 8 >> Trimmed this baby this afternoon. Heavy coating of resin on this plant kept me cleaning my scissors frequently. Lovely smell. This was my larger indoor plant grown this spring. It weighed out to be 41 grams of buds and 36 grams of trim.
Won't be taste testing this stuff anytime soon - and I'm in the process of procuring some test equipment so I can measure THC and CBD levels in the final product. It'll be a couple weeks before I get going on that stuff.
Hi i'm not crazy there really is a purple cbd 20: 1 pheno right? I saw a photo on the Internet, but not anymore. None of my last 4 was purple. Now I have 6 pieces and I'm curious if I can also find the purple pheno.
@Bud_Spencer, Hey there... you are correct... there IS a purple 20:1 CBD variety. In my case it's technically identified as FastBuds Tester #37. Both of those are now outside and the younger one is showing more purple than the older one... at least on TOP of the leaves. I have an indoor & outdoor version of tester #36... which is identified as a 2:1 CBD:THC pheno -> those babies are a bit weird - the indoor version is my largest plant - the outdoor version is my smallest plant - and she shows a bit of purple herself - except on the BOTTOM of the leaf. Something weird maybe going on in CBD farmland. 😳
@Fast_Buds, Hey now... I guess I should ask a question about your 20:1 CBD varietals, or CBD in general... of which I'm growing a few different ones in this diary. When looking at trichomes on these plants - should I be thinking the same as a non-CBD plant? That is... the sequence of clear to cloudy to amber colored trichomes? Not exactly sure when I should be pulling the plug on these 20:1 girls.
