not a good start been ten years so i was in there way to much could not leave them alone forgot not to put nuts on the plant so i soaked um in 300 ppm then though about it the soil is alrady hot at 400 so i transplanted um to drop the number i thought , so let it sit a couple days did a test was over 1200 ppm and i cant do another transplant already so had to flush um flushed everything down to 300ish and the last two times only gave distilled water not the same for sure as outside lol lesson one.
the ss strain i got from my unc really is strong ppm on the soil is still over 1200ppm cant do nothing for another week no more soil or coco and dont wanna flush them lil ones 4 times in a week but when i tested the run off again it was over 500 so i when ahead and took all the medium i had and went ahead and just ran 10 gals over them to make damn sure its flushed this time!!! ppm was 150ish i let it set for almost 2 days and this time the run off was still 150ish so then i moved the girls over to the fabric pots to help and to save from another flush hoping this time that the low ppm will help nutralize the ppm in the pot they was in and the fabric should help right?? i switched the hids to 250 from the 600 to help the girls a lil if im wrong there let me know but the thought of 1200 watts sounds to much for um in this state so hoping the 500watts total helps "i am used to the sun and she is flawless" witch in turn keeps the temp perfect and the rh 50% up to 65%im a lil worrie that i have no idea on the coco mix im probly killing all the buffering work i did to it not feeding them at all in a week i got my info off a wedsite cucuforcoco or something like that but no hand on exp to help but the ppm seems to keep rising hopfully this big flush helped the ppm did not rise this time but then again there was no girls in there........ tell next week good luck and stay safe on a side note imma need some names for these girls the ss is family bred 21 strains over 19 years figured id bring here out the closet sence noone else wants to everything but the spliff was bred from an ss male still need name ideas as time goes by
At this stage you could use only 1 lamp at 250 and it would be fine. After the 3d week of growth ends, you can add more and once it goes into flower you can blast it with the full power.
a bag of coco loco says its 50 to 80% coco fibers now i mixed that standeed sized bad 2.5 feet with a 5 kg block of coco tek coir and about 1.5 pounds of perlite so what is this mix coco? or soil? help please rookie move now im not sure how to treat this medium or what to feed it
You have a Coco/perlite mix , if your original coco mix contains between 50 to 80% of coco fibers it should contain 50 to 20% of coco coir , to me their is a difference between fibers and coirs but both are coco ( I am using the fibers from local caribbean coconuts to improve my soil while I am using the coir to stricly grow cannabis ) so when you add 0.6 kg ( 1.5 pounds ) of perlite then you only add more "soiless" medium. So no soil but mostly coco in your case.
In coco to correctly feed you will have to bring Calcium and magnesium ( cal/mag) with every watering because coco medium is cal/mag free . Your feeding schedule will also be different from a soil schedule , maybe similar or close to an hydro schedule because the Ec /ppm level are higher in coco and hydro than in soil.
Last thing and the most important is the Ph of the medium , it should be 5.8PH ( the sweet spot ) even if you can start at 5.5 and slowly increase to 5.8 then 6.0 or 6.2 but it's better to stick to the 5.8 ph sweet spot if you are a begennier to keep it simple , and you will have to double check the ph , as you need to check your watering solution PH BUT ALSO the water runoff PH ( and ppm ) to see if there is a difference between the input and the outpout and do a PH fluctuation : if the output PH is different then correct the input ( for exemple if your output is 5.7 then watter with a 5.9 ph input to get back to 5.8 )
growth stoped for a couple days pissed um off a lil think they finaly got over it everything is coming back from the overwater and the 1200 ppm for a week think i understand this a little better now so for now just watering 350ml everyday pure water still has been the last 3 days looking like its gonna be water for the next 7 if possible tell my nuts come in but idk if the lil 150 ppm will last that long but starting better then week 2 girls look happy 1 was ready for a top so got 4 coming in there gonna run around 16 tops per girl but will play that by how they fill in ive got about 3 foot i can grow tall so figure a 3 foot tall 8 foot long canopy should be the biz happy growing everyone

D38. Growth is good. They was starting to be a bit more yellow than I like when the lights come on I added a bit more food. Jumped the ppm to 600 counting the. 140 from the tap water. I could. Probably. Feed more but. No need. They happy. The one girl is staying. To small I'm worried it's not gonna be able to reach the screen. So stripped it staked it. And gonna try. To branch it out more. To make up for it and will raise if needed. I've been. Really twisting these girls. Everyday. It has slowed growth down but the smell let's me know it's worth it. Very very sticky already like velcro. First thing I've noticed. For me is. That comparison wise my girls are very easy to make. Sticky& Stinky I've never had this much. Smell or. Taste or stickiness this soon outside they starting to get used to it. So now I'm able to really. Hurt the plant. And make it fight. Fir me the way I do it I get more sticky more stinky the smell is bad actually but I'm not sure if this is normal for inside. Already? I wish you guys could smell this already. It's got that classic skunky smell for sure but there's a Sprite smell mixed with a sweet. Taste already the leaf is very sweet and has a nearly pear taste already. At this rate. Probably gonna be vegging 80+ days. I'm gonna scrog um so really just gotta fill the canopy in but I'm not sure how much these hps can penetrate so I'm not sure how thick to make it. I got 7.5 feet. To work with and I can get the hoods. Real close to the top so I'm thinking. Minuse 1 foot for container 1 foot for the hood. But like I said some bro science so we will see but my coco is a 50 50 mix so it drains. So fast I can really unlock the hydro part of this medium it does eat up some food and water and I'm sure this will double in flower probably 2 gals a lady everyday my thing is I want the girls to have fresh new. Always. So it's always got everything. What else can cause the leaves to taco a bit like. Light burn. Just a couple here and there?? Could it be. Wind I've noticed I had a couple leaves claw a bit but only a couple there too and only on the leaves that was moving the most. ?

Had a look at ur dairy n u seem to have great growth conditions.. Maybe try to raise water/feed solution to ph6-6.2 while in veg.. Curl cud b a low ph thing goin on.. Ur lamp distance and air temp look fine tho.. Only other thing i can think is maybe turn ur circulation fan(if u av 1 on) inside tent down a bit if it has settings or dont have it blowing directly on ur plants.. Hope all goes well.. and this spliffs strawberry has ran right along and is still doing just fine. And is keeping there pace. Nice strain so far. But I got a feeling. The Ss is gonna go bat shit crazy in the flower stretch. They did outside. That's why I've kept them so low. And will be trying to keep them low as possible just in case. They try to trip in size as usual I feel like the spliff got jealous the other 2 were yellowing. Fast so had to start feeding. Separately but not even 2 days of this and I notice. The spliff starting to yellow. First. And that was a first. So now once again just water and feed all together. And they happy. Again weird like they was fighting over it. So had to strip um a bit they growing good no problems happy growing everyone ....D48 looked at the trellis nets I got from vivosun like elastic but a put them up and just...no couldn't seem to see how this would help maybe they still to small for the net idk but took them off broke out the chops spun everything and staked um low and out more. Still not used to the why they grow vrs outside. Growth so just trying to add the tops and keep um all table flat figure that's probably easier to do from the start so D48 out......

D51 first day into new pots expected problems due to me dropping one of the girls while transplanting and just all around bad performance on my part there screw fabric pots for transplanting though as a side note just saying. Keeping the nutes the same. No yellow. Angel's nice. Colors. Good. Hits the dark green to light. Green thinking they fixing to take off. We will see. Everyone I need some exp here. I got a 4x8 tent 7.5 feet tall I got 4 plants in here 7 gal pots 600 watt hid times 2 air cooled hoods with glass so I'm planning on keeping them low as possible untell they hit the walls and then flip the lights and let um go ????
hey there Rovairok, that's actually a great plan but it might take longer to do than you think : another 4 weeks minimum i'd say. That's fine though, much more than that and it's almost diminishing returns. Realistically i can imagine you'll be patient as long as you can be, then flip right? Anyway, just make sure you do all your defoliation and lollipopping a week or ten days before the flip , and i'm sure you're golden. Hope this helps ! 🚀
Looks about that time gonna have my hands full with this. First time on top of 4 different girls. At different heights. Depending on how this goes. Might lose the lil one if this start becoming a problem I'm gonna keep the biggest 2 and move the other 2 out side I guess so huge learning curve here for me. Other than being able to keep the girls happy this is all new. To me but I've grown flowers. For so long a plants a plant only difference I've noticed with these girls. Is that they just run and 100 miles n hour. All the time so you gotta think and stay ahead of them. But other wise they eat less then most and love light like a crackhead will say inside vrs outside I've had not one pest. Problem yet at lest so that alone is a nice twist still running these at 400watts a bulb my girl got fired so I'm gonna try my best to keep at this as is but if money gets tight. I'll probably move this grow outside and finish with some. Trees. But no matter what we gonna finish everything about the same. Was hitting them with the 600 for a couple hours a day to help get them used to it. For flower. So it's not so much a change. Starting. Today everyday I'm gonna. Click the time. By 15 mins tell its. In 12/12. So starting tomorrow its gonna be 17.5/6.5 then 17/7 and so on. Moved the lights a lil higher for now to let this run a bit. I've been going 10ml on the bloom this grow so figure I'll step it up this week to 15ml that see how that works then slowly. Maybe after 2 weeks. What drop the N by a mla week? Guys I'm starting to wonder if I should. Maybe. Flush the coco with some. Calmag water. To flush salts. That you guys think it's been 11 weeks.? I get about 50% run off usually to help maybe not half to flush but they drinking a lot now. So what you guys think?
Are you monitoring the EC of your runoff? If it is 300 or more higher than your inflow then a flush couldn't hurt. When I flush I take the appropriate nute solution and dilute to 50% normal EC and water at twice the normal volume. Then just resume your nute schedule. Flushing should be sort of a last resort if you can't get your runoff EC back to target range with more frequent watering at slightly higher volumes.

Re tying the plants down with tyes as wide as I can get um qnd then moving the net as low as possible as is I dont really like it. The angles look messed up to me.
