Took 3 days to germinate using jiffy puck + heat mat. She came out a bit yellow but took off flying. I'm growing in a 5 gallon bucket with a bunch of spacers with an inline fan+carbon filter.

So far so good. Pic is 1 day after her first feeding at 1/4-tsp/gal on all 3 GHE nutes. Will go to 1/2-tsp/gal and add cal-mag on the next feeding assuming she takes it well.

Starting some light LST and tucking on her earlier in the week, seems to be working as the new bud sites are popping out. I tore a small bit of one leaf while LST'ing. Wish I had used a 3 gallon instead of a 2, next time. At this point I'm only feeding when she gets dry which takes a good 3-5 days after a full feeding, will try to feed a bit less and try some flushing in-between. First grow but I'm learning soooo much. One bad thing, half of my panel died on my light (Apollo 180W UFO), should have a replacement within 10days hopefully, temporarilyusing a Growstar 150W (65w) UFO.

Week 4 nutrients and she's responding extremely well. Will continue this dose one more feeding then increase Bloom. I wish I had more space but it is what it is ;) Good news my replacement light arrived and it's installed. :D So satisfying to see the white pistils appearing.

Well I had a bit of a setback the past week. The leaves started showing some black sort of toxicity (couple leaves have a spot or two in this weeks pics) and I noticed my leaves were somewhat darker to other plants at a similar age. I decided to flush it yesterday before lights on with PH'd water and fed it a lighter dose of nutes and also raised the lights 2". She immediately perked back up and a day later she seems to be doing a lot better. Leaves looking better and she's still growing! I _lightly_ defoliated (4-5 leaves) to get more airflow.

Could someone possibly identify the issue on that one leaf? I had another like that a bit worse that where the edges started to curl. They were fan leaves so I ended up removing them as they were a bit worse off. Doing much better now, only guess is too much nutes.

Doesn't look like too much nutes. That will cause burning at tips and move in. Kinda looks like calcium deficiency. It looks like some ph or heat issues on leaves in those areas. Check your ph of run off and monitor temp. If that stops it could have been minor issue being magnified by those issues. Ph can lock out cal. Dark green leaves come from either too much ph or genetics. ( if your plant has purple or blue genetics it will be darker ). I suspect yours is genetic. No clawing.

Well it seems to be slowing down in length over the past few days, just hit 21". Hoping it doesn't get any taller as I've had to keep adding spacers to my spacebucket. I've still got some spots which I'm thinking could be light/heat stress. I'm adding cal-mag with my nutes at ph 6.3, flush a couple weeks back showed ph 6.3 runoff too so I believe it's not a lockout issue, hoping the community can chime in. Hoping to see the buds fill out more with some frosty leaves soon.

I'm still dealing with some spots that seem like cal-mag lock-out/deficiency but my PH is at 6.2-6.5. I think the light was too powerful I moved it up from about 16" to 18". I hope to have a lux meter soon to confirm any light stress issue. Still look like PH fluctuation?

probably some time two weeks ago there was a pH fluctuation which caused the symptoms to first appear, and it's resolved now but the inertia of the thing makes it so that it sort of gets worse before the symptoms stop spreading. Nonetheless you're at a heavy light schedule so your plant needs more magnesium that's what's causing the yellowing on the serrated edges of the plant's leaf. You should probably lower the light schedule as much as you're comfortable with , the consider spraying cal mag at 1 ml / L twice a week just before "sunrise" for the next two weeks. Absorption by the leafs is 80% compared to 20% at the root level. You can probably increase your calmag to 1ml/L in the feed as well. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hey thanks for the replies!! Very helpful! I'm currently using - Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus (2 – 0 – 0)- at 2.5ml in every gallon (3.8liters), is 1-0-0 a better mix to use (FoxFarms,CaliMagic)?

hey there again ! i dont like N in my cal mag at all, so for me the less the better. as long as you factor it into your feeding schedule you should be fine though. content wise cal mag is cal mag so it's down to the N difference if you like extra N or not, mine is a 000 cal mag ... hope this helps ! 🚀

She's starting to chunk up a bit and sugar leaves are appearing! New growth is not showing the deficiency as some of the older leaves did which I'm very happy about! Thanks to the community for the helpful hints! Took of some of fan leaves that were blocking light from the lower bud sites and a few lower ones that were blocking airflow/not getting any light. I also switched over to CaliMAGic.

So far so good. Lowering the light was a bit of a mistake as the main cola started to show light stress. The main cola is 7" higher than the rest which is a bit of a PITA. I'll be much more aggressive with the LST next time around - comments on how to prevent such a taller main cola are welcome :) I've trimmed about a dozen or so leaves to get more airflow and I moved the LED strips up to support the middle section of the plant, seems to have helped (I think).

Well she keeps plumping up slowly, main cola is 7-8" taller that the main canopy, really hoping to avoid this with extra aggressive LST next time around. Taking pictures with flash on is sure a whole lot better! I'm hoping she only has 3 weeks left! Took a few leaves off that were blocking lower bud sites and preventing airflow from hitting mail cola.

Would I be better off staggering the harvest since the main cola is getting the most light and is 7-8" taller than the rest of the budsites? Wondering about the pros/cons. I'm not impatient just wondering if it would help develop the lower buds. TIA!

You can totally stagger them if need be! But go by the Trichomes as to when to take the buds.. look for 20-30% amber and your golden! Happy Harvesting!

The lower budsites have come in nicely over the last couple weeks and I finally got a digital microscope to inspect the trichomes. I have a few amber so far with some cloudy but majority are still clear. I think I have a week or two left before I chop her. She has one more watering+feeding left before I start the flush in about this time next week assuming I get some more cloudy+amber trichomes before then, if not I will continue with current feeding schedule until I'm satisfied.

Well the trichomes clouded up fast! Maybe I didnt notice them initially but majority were cloudy with some amber so I gave it the chop on the night of Day 80. Will update with dried weight soon. Very exciting times for a first time grower!
