Killer Kush Auto Sweet Seeds

Well gang........this is freaking boring.........nothing growing for three weeks😜😜 Lets get another auto run in before the summer months👍 I have a lot of respect for the genetics coming out of Sweet Seeds and I can't forget to show them a little love as well and all of Spain..🤞❤️🙏 (Their 2020 Line up looks SWEET!!!)............lets see what we can do with this girl😁😁 From their Website: 4th generation autoflowering strain. Autoflowering version of one of the most famous strains from the West Coast of USA. Developed around the year of 1994 in Sunset Beach, South California, and named as Ocean Grow Kush but better known as OG Kush. Our Killer Kush Auto (SWS56) is the result of the hybridization between a selected 3rd generation autoflowering genetic line leaning to the Indica side and an elite clone of OG Kush. The result is a very potent plant with very fast flowering. This strain produces large and aromatic buds, all covered by a thick layer of trichomes. The aroma is sweet, citric and acid with exotic tones reminiscent of aromas from the Chem Dawg – Diesel family. *************** Germination Week - April 4 to 10, 2020 ********************** Coco pots buffered with AN SensiCal at 1.5 times the label. Has a 4% Nitrogen which I like in this instance. Also added 1ml/L of Piranha and 0.75ml/L of Vitathrive. Ph RO water to 5.8. Ran 8L water through each pot. Allowed to dry for two days. She was a big fat seed so she took longer to crack than the others. She also took longer to get a good size tap root before going into coco. I don’t add anything to the water in the glass jar nor the paper towel.....plain RO.....no pH adjust either. Place on a seed mat with temp set to 79 degrees. Both steps of water and paper towel. Usual notion of let the towel stay wet but not running water from plate. Check every 6 hours and add as needed to bring back to same. Find I always need to add water when using the mat. Had better success when I don’t rush the tap root length and wait for it to come out fully. When I have rushed and put into medium with just her moist little tongue sticking out I have had increased failures. When putting the seed into the whole I add 1 ml of Piranha straight, dropping it in the bottom of the whole and the sides. Cover with the moisture from the paper towel only by squeezing in your hands over the seeds. Next day feed with water mixed with 2ml/L each of Piranha and Voodoo Juice, pH water to 5.8. Apr 4 - into RO water Apr 5 - into paper towel.....back into water Apr 6 - into paper towel Apr 7 - into coco coir.......now wait :) Apr 8 - wait :( Apr 9 - She it out.......😃 Apr 10 - last day of germination.......she is out and standing up nicely now. She is a big fat seed and has been slower through the germination steps.........all is good she is just a little slower👌

* ***************** Week 1 of Growth From Seed, April 11 to 17, 2020 - Days 1 to 7 from germination ********************** * Okay, we are off running now. Through germination and was delighted to experience 100% success rate👍 Killer Kush in other diaries has been more squat but a thick grower........time will tell😀 So far this pheno has been slower coming out but I notice she was a fat seed and her leaves are already thicker as well on her first set of true leaves........maybe a slow Indica?? Sweet Seeds is always solid and expect this girl to bring a smile at some point👌👍 Greater focus on VPD this run. Already pushing the humidity higher than I ever have with having controller set at 72% with temperature at 79 degrees. I have been reviewing the numbers and I have normally been close but it looks like I have to raise everything by about 10% and for a few weeks long😬😬😬😬😬😬 Trust the science and lets learn some more from this grow!!! *****Daily Detail: Apr 11, Day 1: - VPD - 1.2 - 500ml first watering given with nutrients as listed. (minus Velokelp) - pH water to 5.6 - Girl is up and looking like she is ready to go. Apr 12, Day 2: - VPD - 1.0 - 500ml feeding with VeloKelp @ 2ml/L, Piranha & Voodoo @ 1ml/L. pH to 5.6 - lowered light intensity a bit more. - leaves are wide already on her first set. Apr 13, Day 3 - VPD - 1.2 - 500ml water with 0.5ml/L each of Piranha & Voodoo, Dual Fuel. - 300ppm with 5.4pH. Apr 14, Day 4 - VPD - 1.1 - 500ml water with Virtathrive and Piranha & Voodoo Juice @ 1ml/L, VeloKelp @ 2ml/L, and SensiCal @ 0.5ml/L. - 210ppm with 5.5pH. - She is gaining speed!!!! She is the fastest out of the bunch now. 2.5” tall and pushing out her second leaves pretty hard.😀👍 Apr 15, Day 5 - VPD 1.0 - 250ml water with VeloKelp @ 1ml/L. - 95ppm with 5.4pH. - She was a little slow in the seed but has been doing very will getting taller so far. Apr 16, Day 6 - VPD 1.0 - 500ml water with Piranha & Voodoo @ 1ml/L, Vitathrive @ 0.5ml/L, Dual Fuel @ 0.5ml/L. - 300ppm with 5.8pH - Her leaf tips are staying more horizontal. Colour is good and she getting thicker leaves. Leaves really separating. - Moved all the girls today one spot in a clockwise rotation. - Noticed more residual moisture on the bottom of the pots than anticipated. Apr 17, Day 7 - VPD 1.1 - Turned on flower light on UnitFarm this afternoon and they are happier. - Dry out day today and no added water/feed, just misting. - Let the medium dry out a bit and give a nice week 2 feed tomorrow.....they are ready for a little more nutrients now. - She is doing well. Second set of leaves out, will be working on third soon. Wide leaves. She is leaning a bit🍺🍷😃👌

* ***************** Week 2 of Growth From Seed, April 18 to 25, 2020 - Days 8 to 14 from germination ********************** * Getting rolling on week 2. Not a surprise for me that she is doing very well. I seem to match well with the traits in Sweet Seeds selections. She is wide and will squeeze out her third set of leaves this week and hopefully working on her fourth set......time will tell🤞She is also getting more green at the start of the week so its time for some plain water as well. The medium has had little to no runoff so far so the ppm will be building and likely pH adjusting slightly,. Switch CalMag this week and going with GH as it has a 1% value for Nitrogen. Will be increasing the CalMag now as well. Will be getting ppm in the 500 range more this week. May start to introduce Sensyzime at the end of the week. Keep moving the lights up and down trying to dial in between 18” and 30” and see how they react. Seems to be about 28” right now they are happy. Playing with the VPD and finding that they are not as happy with the VPD up around 1.0 and rather happier around 1.4??? Happier meaning tips and looking like she is getting bigger. Played with humidity this weekend as well between 52% and 75%. Again, they seem happiest around 58%..........going to try that for a couple of days and see how they grow for the next few days. I feel they are alrighty slower at the high humidity. Not backing away for this but rather trying to read the girls🤪🤪🤪🤪 *****Daily Detail: Apr 18, Day 9 - VPD - 1.1 - 2L feed with Vitathrive and Velokelp and Dual Fuel @ 0.75ml/L, CaMg+ @ 0.75ml/L = 575ppm, 5.8pH. - playing with humidity up and down today. - ready for a plain water feed and a little larger quantity to soak all the medium. - not sure if tomorrow though.......might be a little wet yet in the medium. - she is doing very well. She has gotten taller and seems very energetic right now😀👍 Apr 19, Day 9 - VPD - 1.3 - 2L watering today with CaMg and Sensyzime @ 1ml/L each. 240ppm with 5.9pH. - Had more runoff, that was the goal. Didn't bother to measure this though. - Just trying to bring the medium pH in line and reduce some of the ppm. - Things just aren't progressing as I think they should. Apr 20, Day 10 - VPD 1.5 - dry out day - lower humidity in tent to 55% Apr 21, Day 11 - VPD 1.5 - dry out day, again. Humidity kept low. - Added home made CO2 to the tent today. - 3.5" tall only. - this girl is doing the best in the tent right now. She has handled the over feeding the best of them. Apr 22, Day 12 - VPD 1.4 - Dry out day yet again but now raising the humidity back to 65%. - tips back up today. Apr 23, Day 13 - VPD 1.4 - 0.5L - P & V & Vitathrive @ 1ml/L, DF & CalMag@ 0.5ml/L = 410ppm and 5.9pH - primarily calmag and something for roots. - She has some wide leaves and doing well. She has just been slowed down....crap. Apr 24, Day 14 - VPD 1.4 - 0.5L - Voodoo and Piranha and VeloKelp @ 2ml/L = 180ppm pH'd to 5.6 - tough week.......she battled over watering as a result of some over feeding last week.

* ***************** Week 3 of Growth From Seed, April 25 to May 1, 2020 - Days 15 to 21 from germination ********************** * Started the head scratching more this week and wondering what is going on with the slower growth she has experienced the last 4 days or so. She is looking good and not dark....environment is good.....what the heck is the pH so high when been given feed well inline and below 6.0......why runoff numbers in low 7's so early in the run?? A number of heavy feedings this week so that I can read the runoff numbers for her. Going to keep staying the course with feeding but lower the pH because she is still progressing and its still pretty early in the run........not much veg time for an auto though so I need to get this figured out pretty soon. Gave her some Epsom salts this week as well as I have been battling Magnesium deficiency the last run or two. Always just used CalMag but I don't think the girls always want as much Calcium as they are given this way though. Fed at a rate of 1tsp/gal in a two litre feed early on in the week. Little more Detail........... Apr 25/20, Day 15 - 500ml feed - VitaThrive and Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml - 700ppm and 6.0pH - small feed of base nute to try and perk her up. - noticed the lower leaves are droopy while the upper leaves are perky still. - Still working on dialing the light for these girls as they are happier at 30" away from canopy. Apr 26/20 - Day 16 - 500ml feed - AN Sensi Cal @ 1.5ml, Sensyzime @ 2ml, Epsom Salt @ 1tsp/gal - 700ppm and 6.0pH - The Epsom Salt alone shot the ppm to 500 - Only have the veg switch on for the UnitFarm light. - feeling some of the other girls are showing some magnesium deficiency with the yellowing perimeter of the leaves. Apr 27/20 - Day 17 - dry out day - Cut slits in the bottom of the bag today to let more water out, more quickly when feeding. - Wondering if the root zone is staying too wet and therefore causing some stunted growth. - She has been falling a sleep too early in the day so either too much light or getting root bound? Apr 28/20 - Day 18 - needing some runoff numbers to see what the hell is going on - fed 3L - Piranha @ 1ml, VooDoo @ 2ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml - going in was 575ppm and 5.3pH - runoff numbers were 1450ppm and 6.9pH - WTF......bring it down......next feed at only 500ppm and 5.0pH to lower her?? - leaf colour is perfect. Stems are a little immature yet, but side branching is coming out stronger. Apr 29/20 - Day 19 - 8L feed - Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml = 325ppm and 5.0pH - runoff after the watering was 500ppm and 7.0pH - WTF.....expected it to be more in the 6.5pH range and not that high still? - KK looked worse off, still droopy, after this than the other girls did. Lack of oxygen in root zone with so much water? Its coco though shouldn't be for too long. Apr 30/20 - Day 20 - dry out day - KK likes it a little dryer in her medium.....she perked up more today and looking a lot better. - She has had more vertical growth the last day and she is spacing out some of her nodes. - Her stem is thicker and she is getting stronger. - Still a week behind though in my opinion and they should have been this size a week ago. Apr 31/20 - Day 21 - dry out day - she has done very well the last two days and going to keep riding that wave, didn't water today. - She has certainly gotten taller and wider.......getting her back on track? That will wrap up this puzzling week........pH is not staying low after being brought down......shoots back up over 7 in only 24 hours idea. Working on it Growmies. * ***************** Week 4 - May 2 to 8, 2020 - Days 22 to 28 from germination ********************** * It was a good growth week for her....compared to the other girls😀 Killer Kush is taking the higher pH better than some of the other girls. End of veg coming soon so starting to introduce Rezin this week. Overall there was not a lot of activity this week as life was busy outside the tent☹️ Slit cut in the bottom of the bag has noticeably allowed the moisture to run off quicker leaving less time in the bag to mess with things.........so why still battling high pH issues? Tried tp keep things lighter this week as not sure what is happening to the medium?? Thinking there is an issue with the fabric bags because nothing else has changed?? All that is in the medium is coco and perlite....I am controlling the pH at 5.0 with a calibrated pen?? There are 4 plants all suffering the same issue so going to transplant 2 of them into plastic pots and work on ruling out the fabric pots.....there isn’t anything left. Killer Kush has been pushing through this better than others and growing better so deciding to leave her in the fabric bag. Since acknowledging there is a pH issue I reacted with regular, heavier waterings and she seemed to be in a good enough pH range to uptake most of the base nutrients and has been growing. I will keep up the regular watering to runoff and work on controlling the pH through these increased feedings. Little more detail......... May 2/20 - Day 22 - 2L feed - CalMag @ 0.5ml, Vitathrive, Sensyzime, Pranha, Voodoo @ 1ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml - 625ppm and 5.0pH. - Bringing ppm closer to 700 by end of week. May 3/20 - Day 23 - 2L feed - Vitathrive, Velokelp, Densyzime, Rezin, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml - 685ppm with 5.0pH - runoff numbers - 480ppm with 7.2pH - she is eating but the pH is not coming down. - leaves wider and looking happier this morning - Been hitting them with a fair number of enzymes with the intent of helping to cleanup any issues building in the medium. May 4/20 - Day 24 - dry out day - she is still not taking off vertical in her growth - her leaves are getting bigger. May 5/20 - Day 25 - 2L plain watering pH to 5.0 with 40ppm - just plain watering with low pH to keep working the medium down. - leaf color is nice.....not overly green....no burnt tips May 6/20 - Day 26 - 1.5L feed - Dual Fuel, Vitathrive @ 1ml, CalMag, VeloKelp @ 0.5ml - 675ppm and 5.1pH - She is still slow overall - stem is getting thicker....good sign - twisted, rolled, and moved around most branches on the girl. Was fairly abrupt on purpose. May 7/20 - Day 27 - 1L light feeding - VeloKelp @ 1ml, Sensyzime @ 2ml - she is looking a little bigger all around - branches thickened more this week. May 8/20 - Day 28 - Dry out day That ends week 4. Half the girls in fabric pots and half in plastic. Giving lots of water to keep pH from drifing. This grow is not flowing on autopilot hmmmmmmm👌👍🙏

* ************** Week 5 - May 9 to 15, 2020 - Days 29 to 35 from germination **************** * Nice growth week. Notice some brown spotting early in week. I felt that I could get the pH in line with feeding at 5.0 last week but it didn’t work. Flushed her early on as the pH was over 7.0 when testing the run off. On Sunday she was given a 43L flush to bring her down from the 7.2 she was found to be at. After the 43L she came down to 220ppm and 6.3pH. Going in was 60ppm and 4.4pH, used bottled water. Environment being kept over 60% has been a struggle some days but its coming. Still dialing in some of the light intensity this week by raising and lowering. One of the downsides to multiple strains in one environment but its good👌 Little more detail....... May 9/20 - Day 29 - 2L feed - CalMag, Piranha, VooDoo, Rezin, Liquid Weight @ 1ml, Massive, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml/L - 1000ppm and 5.1pH going in. - Runoff numbers 530ppm and 7.2pH....too high - She was falling asleep a little early so I decreased the light intensity. - She is showing some signs of brown spotting - Tight node spacing.....see how stretch goes. May 10/20 - Day 30 - need some run off numbers as things are funky. - Flushing hard today - 43L flush going in over roughly half hour. 60ppm and 4.0pH - run off numbers were 220ppm and 6.3pH. - back in line.....keep the feeds light. May 11/20 - Day 31 - 1.5L feed - VeloKelp, Rezin, Liquid Weight @ 1ml, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml - 900ppm and 4.3pH - She is falling asleep too soon. Roughly 2 hours early - Root mass still a little small and she cant take the nutrients quick enough?? May 12/20 - Day 32 - dry out day - let her be......as they say😀 May 13/20 - Day 33 - she likes it dry so.....give her another👊 - again.....let her be right now and let her grow May 14/20 - Day 34 - 4L feed - Rhino, CalMag @ 1ml, Rezin @ 2ml, Liquid Weight, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml, Massive @ 3ml = 1075ppm and 5.3pH - run off numbers 575ppm and 6.6pH. - feel she is a little thick down low. Removed leaves in closer to main stem. - she is close to LST for the side branching. May 15/20 - Day 35 - dry out day - she has definitely started flower this week. - she is happy but not 100% tips up......keep working on the environment. Week 5 wrapped and on to week 6 now. She is one of the large girls in the grow and doing well. Big leaves and taking the nutrients well!!

* ************** Week 6 - May 16 to 22, 2020 - Days 36 to 42 from germination **************** * Calling this week a flower week but it is certainly more of transition week. Been battling a busy life along with pH issues this grow. Starting to get both under control😃 Not sure what is up with the pH but running through some 5.5pH feeds to help keep it in mid to low 6 range. She started to feed more this week, her pot drying out quicker. Wanting to get the pH in line as I want to be giving her 6.1 feeds right now. This girl has stayed in the fabric pot while two other girls were transplanted to plastic pots to help with the pH. I suspect the issue is around these fabric pots?? I have cut two large slits in the bottom of the pot to let the excess moisture run out easily and not allow it to sit in the bottom. It felt like there was some slowness in grow at the middle of the week so reviewed the fresh air and ensure circulation is flowing properly. She is really wide in structure and slower growing vertically. By the end of the week she was looking wonderful for the end of flower. Her size is perfect and will be starting a stretch soon. She has been getting silica so its time to get her branches pulled out while they still bend easily. LST was done in the middle of the week. Started the introduction of Rezin and Terpinator now to her feed. Little more detail....... May 16/20 - Day 36 - 2L feed - Velokelp, Rezin @ 2ml, Sensyzime, Liquid Weight @ 1ml, Massive @ 3ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml - 1000ppm and 4.5pH. - She took all the feed today without runoff. She is getting hungry - she is taking her time perking up. - funny,,,,,,she looks like LST has been done to her but its just her growth May 17/20 - Day 37 - 2L feed - Piranha, Voodoo, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml Rezin, L. Weight, CalMag @ 1ml Massive @ 2.5ml - 1050ppm and 5.5 pH going in. - She seems to be forming a good root ball......it takes over two lites to get runoff now. - still working on her buds....pistols are there. - Pulled a couple of the large fan leaves at second node from the top....blocking too much light now. May 18/20 - Day 38 - 3L feed - Piranha, Voodoo, Dual Fuel, Rezin, L. Weight, Vitathrive @ 1.5ml Massive @ 3ml - 850ppm and 5.7pH - run off numbers: 490ppm and 6.1pH ———- perfect!! - LST done today and side branches pulled down. May 19/20 - Day 39 - Dry out day - standing up today and reacted well to stripping and training yesterday May 20/20 - Day 40 - 2L feed - CalMag, Sensyzime, Rhino @ 1.5ml Dual Fuel @ 1ml = 650ppm and pH 6.1 - Pots were light today when lifted so she is eating well, also the slit in the bottom of the pot helps to dry out faster Many 21/20 - Day 41 - 1.5L feed - Rezin and Terpinator @ 1.5ml = 160ppm and 5.7pH - she is doing good, just not going crazy....hmmmmm - increased fan speed to ensure good circulation May 22/20 - Day 42 - dry out day - she is trying to set her buds but they still are not quite there - She’s a wide girl.....LST working - She darker but not a big concern. So we are at the end of week 6. I sure don’t see her being done in two weeks......suspect will be looking at 70 day range at least.

* ************** Week 7 - May 23 to 29, 2020 - Days 43 to 49 from germination **************** * This week she started to take more shape and came out of her ball form and standing up now. Side branches are still growing strong and reaching for the top of the canopy. Increased light intensity also as she is getting bigger and bushy with leaves now. She has increased her feed amounts this week and eating more now. She is happiest when her pot is dry and her leaves are up and praying. Heavy leaf strip and removed some lower nodes mid week. Letting her focus on growing the top nodes by removing lower points. Opened up the middle nice now and she is looking like a cannabis plant😀 Keep an eye on nitrogen though as she is green. She was getting choked out on the lower growth so removing some and letting the light in, the rest of the of sites should help her fatten up. Little more detail....... May 23/20, Day 43 - 3L feed - VeloKelp & Rezin & L.Wt & Sensyzime @ 1.5ml = 150ppm and 6.1pH - she is setting her buds but her leaves still look dark. - keeping ppm lower at 150. - main top reaching up more today. - Flower light switch turned on and raised the lights to increase intensity now. May 24/20 - Day 44 - Dry out day - Only two girls in the tent today so she should react well. - (GSC plants not flipping and moved to veg tent so made room in flower tent.) May 25/20 - Day 45 - fed twice today - 7:30am feed: 2L Sensyzime, Piranha, Rhino Skin, Rezin @ 1.5ml/L = 335ppm and 5.9 pH. - 8:30pm feed: Vitathrive & Velokelp @ 1.5ml/L = 350ppm and 5.8pH - heavy leaf strip today. May 26/20 - Day 46 - dry out day. - keep an eye on the girl because the last time the girl dried out she reacted well - noticed the inner growth is slightly brown around the edges. Buds/pistols are not very tall. Light should help with this. - still only two girls in the tent. May 27/20 - Day 47 - 3L feed: Mass&Terp @ 3ml/L, Rezin&LWt&Vita @ 1.5ml/L, CalMag&Rhino&Piran&D.F. @ 1ml/L = 1250ppm & 6.0pH - added more water to reduce ppm to 1080.........1250 a little high right now. - she was ready to be fed.....eating a little more now. - Her hairs are getting longer and reaching out more now......light helps😀 May 28/20 - Day 48 - 2L feed: Mass @ 4ml/L, Vita & Sensyzime @ 2ml/L, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml/L = 1350ppm - little high so added water reduce ppm 1100 - She is taller and today and really looking nice. - She definitely likes it when her pot dries out. May 29/20 - Day 49 - dry out day - letting her be....she is happy😀 That wraps up another week. It has been great because she is really taking shape now and looking like the little girl I had in my mind👌

* ************** Week 8 - May 30 to June 5, 2020 - Days 50 to 56 from germination **************** * This was a good growth week. KK has many white hairs on bud sites she is filling in and bulking up. pH numbers still higher so keeping an eye on the amount of base nutes to minimize lockouts. Leaf color is doing good and she is on her way. When the medium is in the correct range she is swelling and looking happy. She has been good with heavier feedings but she is also outwardly happier when the pot is on the dry side. More oxygen around the roots is my assumption. She is a beautiful little plant and is bushy.....trimming will take a little bit of work but its all good......not bending over her top is giving her a nice shape. Lots of leaves😀 She tight nodal spacing and is certainly growing as a little bush. Great strain for those concern about height restrictions!!! Note: I have running with the Green Plant line for nutes and I am very happy........I also have some Advanced Nutrients bottles that have not been used so I am fitting them in as it seems appropriate. I really like Piranha, Voodoo, Tarantula, Sensyzme, and Overdrive......don't see me stopping having those bottles around garden. Little more detail.......... May 30/20 - Day 50 - 4L feed with Sensyzime @ 1.5ml/L = 315ppm and 4.4pH - runoff in the pot before feeding was 7.1pH. - runoff after feed was 5.8. - leaves are an okay color, not too dark, and she is doing well. - bud sites getting larger. May 31/20 - Day 51 - 4L heavier feed: CalMag & Rezin & Lwt @ 1ml/L, Rhino @ 1.5ml/L, Vita & Kelp @ 2ml/L, Massiv @ 3ml/L = 700ppm - fair bit of runoff, not checked. - good growth overnight......happy getting their medium down to 5.8 yesterday. - This girl seems happier when her pot is on the lighter side. June 1/20 - Day 52 - 3L feed with Massive @ 2ml and Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml = 1300ppm, pH 4.4 - Pulled a few leaves.....take more on weekend. - She is wide but not going to be too tall......under 24" idea I suspect. - Bud sites are a medium size and her hairs are white but not huge. June 2/20 - Day 53 - 2.5L feed: Terp & Massive @ 3ml/L, Vitathrive @ 2ml/L, Rezin & LWt & Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml/L = 1300ppm 4.6pH. - she is doing well......buds continue to get bigger. - still don't know what the hell with the pH? June 3/20 - Day 54 - 2L feed: Sensyzime @ 2ml/L = 315ppm and pH to 4.9 - she has reacted well to take some of leaves and her branches are more defined all the time. - just gave her some enzymes today to keep the roots clean of the salts. - raised her up more in the tent to get closer to light. Set her on another riser. June 4/20 - Day 55 - dry out day - her leaves are growing back quickly and she is appearing happy. - she has reacted well to the increased light intensity!! June 5/20 - Day 56 - 3L feed: AN Big Bud & Vitathrive & Rezin @ 2ml/L, Liquid Weight @ 1.5ml/L - 1050ppm and 4.4pH going in. - no run off from the girls......they are eating!! - crazy.......4.4pH going in and she loves it!! - took more leaves to expose some more sites. - She is firming up well. Not rushing to take more leaves. That will wrap up week number 8 already! The girls are fighting a few issues but overall they are performing well. Killer Kush plants would fill in a 4 x 4 nicely and create a great canopy with 6 plants. As always with the girls I have grown.......@Sweet_Seeds has selected nice characteristics for this strain!! 👍💪

Week 9 .......... Flower Week.........June 6 to 12, 2020 ........ Days 57 to 63 from germination She took a lot of shape this week and buds are swelling. She has reacted well with Massive and has increased her nodal spacing. Now she needs to work bulking up and filling in that spacing😀👍 A little more leaf strip at the end of the week to let more light into the middle of her. Focussed on the leaves on the inside of her and left a number of the fan leaves on the perimeter of her to help with sugar production. Her hairs have never really been long but the buds are swelling in nicely. They started off a little small but have grown a lot wider in the last week.......as expected in week 9. Starting to see some possible nutrient issues forming as she is aging and some of her leaf tips are starting to curl down a bit. Red hairs have started so we should be less than three weeks to go and guess at roughly 2 weeks to go. Will be feeding next week but that might be the end......see what the week brings. Environment has been hovering at 79 degrees and 61 percent humidity for most of the week. Yeast and sugar CO2 in use. Still feel there is going to be trade off battling the pH issues of the pots by feeding her 4.5 water and feed. I have to keep it that low to have a runoff of 6.6pH🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 Going to start letting the pH drift higher the next couple of days though and give a couple of waterings at 5.6 to ensure she is taking up enough phosphorus and potassium. The frost coming out on this girl now but she is a little slower coming on. Anticipate the last two weeks here should see good frost coming out. Have not even really looked at it too much yet to be honest. Changed up some of the supplements this week and added in some Advanced Nutrients Big Bud and Overdrive. Always liked Overdrive and when moving the bottles had more than I realized so figured I would change it up a bit......she is already fighting pH issues so no further harm. She is a very pretty little girl and she has beautiful shape. Not bending over her top seems to have been okay for this girl. Just keeping the side branches pulled apart so the light gets done the middle to bud sites😃 Nice work Sweet Seeds.....she is looking great so far.........freaking resilient dealing with pH so high!!!!!!!!!🙏🙏 Little more detail: June 6, Day 57 VPD - 1.2 3L feed - Big Bud, Vitathrive, Rezin, Liquid Weight, Velokelp, CalMag, Dual Fuel. 1150ppm and 5.0pH.......pH little higher today. Lots of runoff as fed late last night. Keep an eye to see the result of the higher pH. Colas more defined today. Standing up nice and looking thick today. Fairly green though so keep and eye on the nute levels. June 7, Day 58 VPD - 1.2 7L water - 285ppm and 4.4pH......checking pH in medium Runoff was 580ppm with 6.8pH Hairs are whiter now and buds are wider and stacking. June 8, Day 59 VPD - 1.2 Dry out day....... She is dark and bushy. June 9, Day 60 VPD - 1.2 4L Feed - Sensizym, Rezin, Vitathrive, Liquid Weight, Massive, Terpinator, Dual Fuel. 1150ppm and 4.2pH.......pulling down a little more since last runoff number. Fair bit of runoff from the feed. Starting to fatten up a bit more.....branches are looking larger. June 10, Day 61 VPD - 1.2 3L Feed - Overdrive, Rezin. 485ppm and 4.5pH Just some supplements and feed tomorrow. Her side branches are reaching up more and increasing the nodal spacing. Now she needs to fill that gap in😃👍 Noticing a pattern with Massive and nodal spacing????? June 11, Day 62 VPD - 1.2 Dry out day....... June 12, Day 63 VPD - 1.2 4L Feed - Terpinator, Overdrive, Rezin, Vitathrive, Sensyzime, Liquid Weight, Dual Fuel. 1380ppm and 4.5pH Hitting her and Sweet n Sour harder as they get closer to the end. She is 19” tall now and 24” wide Leaf strip to increase light penetration......lots of small leaves. Tricomb production getting going now. Nice little Cannabis plant😋😋😋

* ******* Week 10 - June 13 to 19, 2020 - Days 64 to 70 from germination * Adding in the pictures right now.......... She continued to ripen this week and really stated to push out the frost at the end of the week when humidity was dropped to 50% and lower at night. She still has lots of nutrients in her to eat up as her leaves are pretty green. Her colas are starting to form points now and swelling/ripening.😍 She is done being fed this week and will start to feed on her leaves and flush out the nutrients👍😃 On Wednesday she was given at 32L flush of plain water to help lower the pH further and since at the end of her life it’s okay to hit the medium hard. She took the flush well and fattened up more. Frost also noticeably increased over the days after.......or the tricombs turned more cloudy😋😋 She has fought off all pest and environment issues and is very stable. She has liked to dry out a fair bit before her next watering as she was outwardly the most happy when pot was kept light. They were switched to a 20 hour light cycle at mid to end of flower and she took that well and swelled further. Opened her up on the inside to the let the light in and she has rewarded with fat little nugs on the lower sites!! She liked the LST and would push harder the day after being tied down. Very nice little girl in the grow portion of her life!!! Smoking part is looking very promising for yield and potency.........that will have to wait😉 Little more detail......... June 13/20 - Day 64 - 1.5L plain water 275ppm, pH to 5.1 - lower pH to help the building numbers in the pot - she is not taking up much right now.....slowing down a bit? - She bulked up a fair bit overnight though.....seems to have liked yesterday's feed. June 14/20 - Day 65 - dry out day - KK swelled even more last night. She is a bushy little girl! - tips forming slowly on the tops and moving away from the button look......ripening👍 - suspect she will be the first one done? - raised the lights roughly 3" little less intensity right now and leaf temps a little high. June 15/20 - Day 66 - Flush day today.....need to know where we stand with pH. - 32L (8 gal) of plain water given, 3.4pH and 280ppm going in. - in the trays before flush was runoff with a pH of 7.4 and ppm of 1800. (Both are too high for this stage of growth......6.4 and 900 would be nicer) - runoff numbers after were 6.9pH and 380ppm - had to stop there as I am using over 30 gallons of water today to flush all the girls......I am out of water😡 - environment holding at 80 degrees and 61% humidity. June 16/20 - Day 67 - dry out day.......you think :) - green leaves and red hairs started forming more.....she is ripening now.....no more feed.....only low pH water. - squished a couple of buds and she is firming up. June 17/20 - Day 68 - 3.5L watering today.......decided to give Rezin and Liquid Weight @ 1.5ml/L = 285ppm with a pH of 4.0 - yeah.......no NPK but I did give some supplements to help with tricombs and flavour. - there was lots of runoff water.....didn't bother to check it.......it will be high. - need to work on lowering the temps and humidity a bit more now as well.....80 degrees is too high now......76 and 55% is the goal. June 18/20 - Day 69 - dry out day - for the most part the girls were left alone today.....raining outside so humidity is rising. - lowered the light again......raising my temps to 78 degrees though........need an air conditioner in the lung-room! June 19/20 - Day 70 - 2L watering with Rezin, Liquid Weight, and Sensyzime for enzymes to finish cleaning up the roots......more salt I know.....but not too bad...bigger win. - 385ppm and 4.5pH.........left the pH alone. Didn't want to add pH adjuster with the enzymes being added to her. - Her top leaves are lightening and she is feeding on herself....perfect. - the rest of her though appears to be slowing down......swelling on the inside hopefully👍 - frost levels the last 5 days have really increased!! - raised the light back up again.......don't want fluffy buds so will reduce the temp and accept a little less intensity. That is it for week 10! We are flushing her and trying to keep her cool now💪

* ********* Week 11 - June 20 to 26, 2020 - Days 71 to 77 from germination *********** * It is the end of flush week and she went into darkness on Wednesday night, day 75, for two days. Saturday will be harvest day and start and the dry process👍 This week she continued to fill in and she also pushed out more frosty tricombs!! The fade happened this week more and she fed off of more of the nutrients within the plant.....perfect😃......would like a little more even but she was ready based on tricombs. Would like to have seen the lower leaves a little more yellow but its good. I am feeling very strongly that the big part of the pH issues this run was a change in feed water. I have always used bottled RO water for all my grows, except outdoors, but this grow I switched to tap water. Dechlorinated the water with air stone and gave it 24 hours min before using. Wanted to save some money and tired of lugging bottles downstairs a couple of times a week☹️ This is worked out nicely and a lot more convenient. However, the city must be putting some crap in the water that is causing issues in my media and raises the pH after the watering. Out of the tap it is 8.4pH and 275ppm. Since ppm were not too bad in my opinion I moved forward without filtering the water.......oops🤬🤬🤬 Out of options on what is causing the issue, I switched back to RO water late last week........all the girls are happier!!!! F......missed the cause for weeks. Always learning from this plant and my own mistakes to get better every run😉👍 Also wanted to add a little more stress to girl to help push out some increased resin. I drilled a 5/16” hole into the main stem to cause her stress. I did this rather than trying to break a branch and will see it goes this run. Sterilized a new bit in Alcohol and went for it. They went into darkness about a couple of hours later. Excited to see what happens when she comes out to get chopped😃😃 Not really a lot more to add this week as it was mainly looking at the tricombs and her buds. The pH will impact the harvest but she has been fun to grow and very resilient to pest and bug issues as well as grower curve balls. As always.......nice job Sweet Seeds....... SWS56 is very solid and I look forward to running her again one day. Beautiful little girl and makes me smile😃😃😃 Little more detail...... June 20/20 - Day 71 - Rezin and Liquid Weight @ 2ml/L = 285ppm and 4.0pH - 8L given to get a good flush....pH still running around 7.4 - Runoff in pots already were 7.9pH and 685ppm. - after 8L water runoff was 7.4pH and 360ppm. - she is 20” tall and 24” wide. - a number of clear tricombs but more becoming cloudy. June 21/20 - Day 72 - dry out day. - buds are firming up......squeezed a couple🧐 June 22/20 - Day 73 - Rezin @ 1ml/L = 120ppm and pH the water to 2.7!!!!!!!!! - Given 2L watering. - No runoff water and I am good with that as I want the low pH water to stay in the medium. - her frost levels are really coming out now.....was able to lower tent temps to 75 degrees and 51% humidity......its been raining a bit so damn humidity has been high. June 23/20 - Day 74 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 2.4!!!!!! - not excited about these crazy low pH numbers but doing what we can - her tops are getting more pointy now and ripening nicely - leaves continue to fade......she is close - checking tricombs, I think we are done and tomorrow will be her last day so that I can take down on Saturday. June 24/20 - Day 75 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 3.0 - Going into darkness tonight so this was her last bit of moisture. - drilled a hole into the stem.....was going to do a couple of holes but not trying this method before I decided to leave it with one hole. - into darkness tonight So we finish up the week with her in the dark. This little girl started her journey on April 4th with germination into a water glass and finished up on June 27/20 – Day 78 from germination. She was a fun grow and was very resilient through the whole run. She spent most of her grow time in a 20/4 light schedule. She formed nice frost levels and stayed to a very nice and manageable height of roughly 20” tall without topping or bending her main stem. She was not as fussy about nutrient levels and took them well. She does like her medium on the dryer side though. Small little auto bush of OG Kush crossed with Indica genes😃 She would make a nice a plant to run while you are vegging out some photos for 6 or 8 weeks as she is not very big in size but will swell up and yield decent weight👍 She was grown in a 3 gallon fabric pot with coco coir and maybe 15% perlite. She was fed salt based nutrients……..so sorry but they are flushed out and that is what I am more comfortable with. Focus on the early growth with microbes, fungi and kelp!! She was fed the normal pattern with pH being held around the 5.4 to 5.8 range in feeding. Then as flower approached, I gave the pots a more consistent look at the runoff numbers and she was running 7.8pH coming out of her!!!!! WTF. She stayed in her pot that she was planted in and fought this issue all through the rest of her grow. The pH issues started surfacing around week 3….as we headed into flower of course. Scratching my head for weeks, I ultimately didn’t change anything other than really low pH feeding going in…….below 4 idea. For weeks she had 3.9 water going in and still getting 7.8 running off. I initially felt it was related to cheap fabric bags so I cut slits in the very bottom of the bags that stayed and tried transplanting other girls into plastic pots, which it can be fabric pot issues but I am not as convinced anymore for this run that there was an issue there, wasn’t sure about giving her Magnesium on top of Magnesium and therefore did I mess her up good on the inside early on in week 2 idea, out of options I changed back to RO water and that seems to have solved my issues……I was using tap water that was not filtered this run🤬 The pH was high so that was adjusted but with the ppm being at 185 to 200 range I chose not to buy a filter and just dechlorinated the water only. I was tired of lugging 5 gallon water bottles in and out of the basement😃 That is a difference from all other grows…..silly for not catching this by week 4! So…….back to lugging bottles in and out of the basement😂😂😂 She really started to take shape around weeks 7 and 8 and formed a beautiful little cannabis plant and grew to 20” tall and roughly 18” wide. Main focus with her was to just perform LST on side branches and let the top go…….I wanted to just let her go and see what would happen to her main cola for size and height……plus I don’t do that…….I always bend over the tops on my grows so this was a little different for myself. She grew very nice leaves and a lot of them. This pheno had a lot of leaves to her and that is fine……its not really my first choice in characteristics of a plant though..…..so much more work at trim time……Green Poison XL Auto, SWS71, was a dream to trim👍 as a comparison!! She didn’t fox tail very much she firmed up her buds towards the end. The resin production was a little slower coming out in her but by week 7/8 she was getting pretty impressive😋😋😋 White and sticky!! She smelt of woods with citrus notes…..works for me👌 There were no issues at all retaliated to pests or bugs……I threw in a couple sticky traps but there weren’t any to catch. She handled the high humidity in this run great and there were no signs of any powdery mildew👍👍👍 She is a very stable strain from Sweet Seeds! Day 63 was last feeding, flushed for almost two weeks. Rezin and Liquid Weight still given for one of the weeks but the last week was plane water. In hind-site I think I should have hit her with some Flawless Finish to help get that last bit out of her. She did feed on most of her nutrients but some of the lower leaves were still more green that I would have liked. She was cut down on day 77…..11 weeks is about what I suspect looking at her in week 7…….this was roughly 8 weeks flower time……makes sense😃 She grew for 75 days and then I decided what the heck…….she needs a hole in her stem to stress her out😃 I didn’t try breaking a branch but rather drilled a hold into the base of her stem……something new to try out. I think I will try more holes next time….max 3 I think……then I want to run a couple with cracking their stems and see if there is a difference👍 I feel more in control of a drill and its accuracy vs bending branches and they snap where they want to…….anyway it was worth a try!!!! Worst case, it made it easy to hang her as a whole plant to dry😃 This girl battled pH issues all her life and as a result the buds were not where I would have liked them. There were not fluffy…..but here were not as hard as I would like for rolling joints, so the whole girl went to concentrates She dried for 7 day as a whole plant, 2 days more in smaller branches, then 1 day curing in jars before dry ice sift. She yielded 74g of dry cured buds, 2.65 ounces. Not bad…..I don’t think her buds would have gotten a lot bigger but they certainly would have had more weight if they firmed up…..grower issue, not genetics. So…..lets make some rosin from this girl🤩 The yields on this and making her hash a perfect colour are not what this process is about…..let’s get that out of the way right away……this is about another way to enjoy and consume my cannabis for my own relaxation and medicinal needs. Taking pictures of rosin is always a challenge…..it is always dark in the pictures unless you are using a nice DSLR to let more light in. Rather than making bubble hash with water, I just used the bags to make a dry ice kief from the buds. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a block of dry ice and had to use these cubes…….don’t like these as much because there are too many surfaces beating your green plant material and your kief goes green before long when shaking. Could have done it with out ice all together…..nicer hash but lots left on the plant afterwards that way so yield is low. Used two bags in this extraction, the 220 as the bag for edibles and the 120 as the bag for pressing rosin to smoke…..dry ice hash rosin!! The yield on this from the 74g of bud was 22.4g kief. 220 bag was 12.6g and the 120 bag was 9.8g. Not great I guess but I didn’t want to keep going for 4 and 5 minutes with the bags…..these were roughly 2 minutes with the 220 being 3 minutes on the high side. You can certainly see that the 120 product is more golden in colour than the 220 but since I didn’t crazy, the 220 is still a very nice colour. Last step on this journey was then to take the kief and make our rosin. I pressed product using 37um bags with the temp set at 160 degrees. All were done the same for the most part……roughly 4 gram presses, the same temperature, and the time. The first presses were 90 to 120 seconds. If a second press was done on the pouch, then it was at the same temp but for only 40 to 50 seconds. The yield on this was just shy of 7 grams…….6.77g…..roughly 30% yield from Kief???,…..roughly 9.2% from flower???…….would have likely done better right from flower😂 😂 😂 it was fun, regardless of the yield😃 Tasty rosin!!!! Can’t beat rosin for getting the true tastes of the plants. These numbers are absolutely due to my abilities with extraction.......sure don’t judge the genetics based on my returns......she is a frosty plant and will give great returns!!!👍👍 Several pictures show that, I hope!! So that will wrap up this diary for Sweet Seeds Killer Kush Auto, SWS56. Certainly give this girl some consideration if you like OG Kush and also have space concerns in your grow. She is beautiful frosty little girl with a punch. Certainly get the usual woody and citrus notes from her rosin and she has a lasting high. She helps to get get you going and willing to finally start cleaning that corner of the room you have been avoiding…….watch out though…..distractions😃……next thing you know 40 minutes go by and you are staring at a box of DVD’s wondering what happened to CD’s…….cassette tapes (the art of the “mix tape”), 8 tracks, vinyl……ALBUM COVER ART Baby!!!!!! Then its either back for another rip, or get your crap done because the next rip leads into even less work getting done😃😃 Great job as usual @Sweet_Seeds !!! Looking forward to the next one……Cream 47 photoperiod……actually, already done germination and a new diary coming👍👍…..compare a 3 gal pot to a 5 gal pot, or a fabric vs air pot, and see what my yield differences are??
