So the story starts... this grow is really an experiment for me to train one plant within my 4'x2' grow space to ScrOG vertically and use the SP250 light on its side. I'd like to gain experience with how bud development changes/reacts to a vertically focused setup and to specifically improve my LST techniques. My plan is to only apply LST to grow the main stem horizontally with all node branches growing vertically. I may be forced to prune but hoping to completely avoid any pruning/defoliation during this grow. For the majority of the vegetative stage the light will be hung normally above the plant until a week prior to flipping the light schedule and initiating flowering. Germination: Soaked one seed overnight (14hrs) within the boiler area of the house for warmth. Seed was then placed between moistened paper towel sheets on a plate and placed in a warm dark place. Covered with another plate and being monitored for moisture and humidity. Sprouted root on the seed the next morning. The seed was put into 3.5L pots with Coco the following day (ideally I need to start with a smaller intermediate pot). The medium was not buffered (as it is pre-buffered by Canna) and watered using cooler room temp water from the tap. The pot was moved into the grow space/tent. Setup a propagator style cover with freezer trays to increase the humidity and maintaining it just above 60%. Fertigation started the day after the cotyledons opened. Fertigation is maintained to once a day at lights on. Light on period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive or active intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) used during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 (gives me great control over the environment) - ventilation fans - aquarium heater for nutrients solution - small oil heater (for winter use only) - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate mixed with 40% perlite - GHE Flora trio nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy the other at the roots level)

For the majority of the vegetative stage the light will be hung normally above the plant until a week prior to flipping the light schedule and initiating flowering. Seedling has been growing well with the 5th node now developing. Slight twisting of first set of true leaves indicating some deficiency - most likely Cal/Mag. Roots emerged from the bottom of the pot near the end of this week. Noted leaves starting to get wavy and puffy again since increasing the frequency of fertigation - similar to the last grow. My pot size selection for this stage is too big. Fertigation is now maintained to once a day at lights on. Light on period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grow setup includes ; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 (gives me great control over the environment) - ventilation fans - aquarium heater for nutrients solution (for winter use only) - small oil heater (for winter use only) - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots (as final pots) and 3.5L general plastic pots (for seedling stage) - Canna Coco substrate mixed with 40% perlite - GHE Flora Trio as base nutrients and various additives - pH and EC/TDS meters - 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy, the other at the roots level - these allow for external monitoring and recording) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some strain info from Royal Queen Seeds ; An amazing mix of genetics background - Its true genetics are unknown. Some say OG Kush is a mix of ChemDawg with a Lemon Thai and Pakistani Kush. Others say that it’s just a special cutting of ChemDawg from the early 90s. The most obvious trait of OG Kush is its strong, unique, very dank, slightly citrus aroma, almost like fuel or strong detergent. The flavour of OG Kush is equally as strong and dank, with a long-lasting aftertaste. Strong mental and physical high - OG Kush is an extremely strong cannabis strain, with most experienced smokers listing it as one of their favourites. The effect is as strong physically as it is mentally. Though its effect is like an Sativa, the strain's genetics are mostly Indica. The effect is as strong and complex as the flavour. OG Kush takes around 8 weeks to flower and on average the yield is 500 grams per plant. Big buds with lovely tones - OG Kush is known to stretch slightly during growth but soon starts to fill out during flowering. Generally, it will reach a height of 90 to 160 cm. Its buds are large and dense, lime green clusters covered with a large amount of resin.

For the majority of the vegetative stage the light will be hung normally above the plant until a week prior to flipping the light schedule and initiating flowering. The plant passed its seedling stage and has been vigorously growing albeit showing strong signs of over-watering and calcium deficiencies. It's really a transpiration issue which I have not solved yet. Increased distance to light as the plant may be growing too fast for its root mass. From feedback at Coco for Cannabis (CFC), it is a Cal deficiency and a young plant getting used to the grow in coco - quite common and not a sign of over-watering. Measuring run-off EC at each fertigation event as I increase the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is now maintained at twice a day (at lights on and 4hrs prior to lights off period) to maintain the target EC. So the story takes a sharp turn ... this grow was going to be an experiment for me to train one plant within my 4'x2' grow space to ScrOG vertically and use the SP250 light on its side. I've now realised the 60cm width will make it very challenging to fit a big plant in and maintain the distance from the light without light or heat stress. So the goal will now be to grow a horizontal ScrOG with only LST being applied (no topping or defoliation). Since the transplanting into its new home, the plant has grown very vigorously and most of the issues experienced last week related to transpiration have disappeared. Been tying all branches down using plant ties anchored into the holes surrounding the airpot. Applying LST to make the plant grow wide under the net. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is maintained at twice a day (at lights on and 4hrs prior to lights off period) to maintain the target EC. This is the last week of vegetative growth. The plant is growing very strong, forming strong branches and big fan leaves. Continued LST on the main stem and some other major branches. Growth is now penetrating the canopy and is being tucked under the net to fill it up. Pruned a few stems and leaves from below the canopy which may never see the light of day. Pale leaf tips/edges may be due to light stress, so maintained the light distance whilst tucking branches under the net as they shoot through. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. It has been a week of snap snap snap! let's call it accidental toppings - yes - multiple. The OG Kush seems to be quite fragile compared to other strains I've grown. Continued LST has resulted in me snapping off the end of the main stem and another major branch. Both days within switching the light regime. Now I have to fill up the net using lateral branches. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period (32hrs) prior to switching light regime at the beginning of the week - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Light green spots and other spots noted on big fan leaves, possibly a calcium or other deficiency. Spots are lighter shade, irregular though some are circular. End up turning bronze colour dust. No pests have been spotted during extensive inspections. The problem remains to older leaves only and doesn't seem to be affecting any new growth. I also think I may have some Nitrogen toxicity due to my CalMag solution having a NPK ratio of 6-0-0. Getting some low N solution this week so hopefully that will address any impact on the flowering stage. The plant still seems to be strong, forming strong branches and massive fan leaves. Growth is being tucked under the net to fill it up. Pruned a few stems and leaves from below the canopy which may never see the light of day. Run-off EC still remains below target. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. It has been a great week of growth and no further accidental toppings - first pistils beginning to show at the end of the week. Tops are looking good, forming shape across the net. Stretched branches are being tucked under one square across every 3-4 days. The net is filling up nicely, with some limited pruning below the canopy of both leaves and growth stems. I'm trying to avoid any defoliation on this grow. Fertigating with an inflow EC of >1.4 seems to be moving the run-off EC higher - will maintain higher inflow EC until run-off is within acceptable range. Run-off EC Should be within 300 Points of Inflow EC. Run-off EC still remains below target although now increasing to where it should be. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. First pistils started showing on the canopy so the flowering period timer started this week. Tops are looking good, forming shape across the net. Stretched branches are being tucked one square across every 3-4 days or tied down. Pulled down most lateral branches applying LST where they weren't long enough to nicely go under the next square across of the net. The net is filling up nicely, with more pruning below the canopy of growth tips. Only pruning a few fan leaves which are stacking - the back and sides are piled up with huge fan leaves. Fertigating with an inflow EC of >1.35 seems to be moving the run-off EC higher - will maintain higher inflow EC until run-off is within acceptable range. Run-off EC Should be within 300 Points of Inflow EC. Run-off EC is now approaching my target since I've increased the inflow EC. The stretching period is slowing down now. Nearly all shoots from the sides have now been tied down to the frame of the tent and a lot more light is now hitting the middle section. Continued to tuck fan leaves away from shadowing below. Carried out (the first and only) pruning exercise of all big fan leaves below the canopy and some minor thinning out of the top too. The main goal was to remove old fan leaves, open the canopy for more light penetration and allow for better airflow. Timing follows recommendation (by Nebula) of defoliating 3 weeks after switch to flower. Avoided any defoliation of the canopy tops. Fertigating with an inflow EC of >1.35 seems to be moving the run-off EC higher - will maintain higher inflow EC until run-off is within acceptable range. Canopy is filling up with lots of budding sites along each of the branch tops and the stretching seems to have ceased. Leaves are all beautifully green with no overfertilisation marks (unlike my previous grow). Continued pruning of some fan leaves from below the canopy to lower humidity and tucking away leaves at the top. Nearly every branch on the sides has been tied down and moved away from the centre - spreading the plant from its sides. Scents have started wafting. The plant is 48cm high from the medium surface, and the canopy is 30cm above the trellis net at its peak tops. Average volume of water per day lowered sharply from near 4L to 2.8L due to a few cold days. It's getting harder to maintain the humidity in the grow space below 60% with the outside weather being wet. Added the dehumidifier in the grow space. After a few hot days and minimal run-off being collected at fertigation events, the run-off EC has risen much higher since the last reading - still within expected range. Fertigating with an inflow EC of >1.30 seems to be moving the run-off EC higher - will maintain higher inflow EC until run-off is within acceptable range. Run-off EC Should be within 300 Points of Inflow EC, and currently averaging 1.17 Run-off EC is now approaching my target since I've increased the inflow EC. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is maintained now to twice a day (at lights on and off) to maintain the target EC. Light period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime).

The plant is still lush and green with bud sites covering the stems above the net with short spacing in between. The budlets are fattening slowly every day with nearly all white pistils sticking straight up in every direction. Leaves are getting sticky and a sweet scent permiates the grow space. Pruning when needed and only below the net - it is an excessively leafy plant but I need to experience a grow without major defoliation. The plant is 48cm high from the medium surface, and the canopy is 30cm above the trellis net at its peak tops. Still in the mid flowering bloom feed schedule, changing to late bloom schedule next week. Average volume of water per day is increasing again to above 4L due to hotter days. It's getting harder to maintain the humidity in the grow space below 55% with the outside weather being humid. a dehumidifier is running continuously in the grow space but not sure how effective it is considering the air exchange rate in the space is high. The extraction fan has now been switched from auto mode to continuous operation. Noticed a bad smell from the growing medium again over the last few weeks since starting the morning fertigation events at lights off - this practice has never worked for me. Stopping the morning events to lower humidity levels during the lights off period and get rid of the smell and avoid any root issues. Started adding H2O2 to my nutrients mix. After a few hot days and minimal run-off being collected at fertigation events, the run-off EC has risen much higher since the last reading - still within expected range. Fertigating with an inflow EC of >1.20 seems to be moving the run-off EC higher. Run-off EC Should be within 300 Points of Inflow EC, and currently averaging 1.4 Run-off EC is now at my target. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. In week 5 of flowering, the buds all over the plant are becoming thicker and stacking on nicely. Strong scent of citrus at every opening of the tent now. Some of the white pistil hairs have now started turning darker into a brownish or amber colour. Leaves are quite sticky and a citrus scent permeates the grow space. Pruning when needed and only below the net - it is an excessively leafy plant but I need to experience a grow without major defoliation. The plant is 48cm high from the medium surface, and the canopy is 30cm above the trellis net at its peak tops. Started the Late Bloom feed schedule, changing to Pre Ripen schedule next week. Average volume of water per day is increasing again to above 4.5L due to some very hot days. It's been much easier this week to maintain the humidity in the grow space below 55% with the outside weather being dry. I have moved my small dehumidifier from inside the grow space to the outside space (my bedroom) as it's not effective considering the air exchange rate in the space is high. The extraction fan has now been switched from auto mode to continuous operation to maintain both temps and humidity. Since adding H2O2 to my nutrients mix the bad (fishy) smell has gone away and I have increased my fertigation frequency. Run-off EC spiked much higher after a few hot days and the coco medium drying out between fertigation events. Did a full flush with GHE's FlashClean at the end of this week to lower EC of the medium and clean out any excess salts. Run-off EC Should be within 300 Points of Inflow EC, and was averaging 1.7 Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is maintained now to three times a day (at lights on/+4hrs/at lights off) to maintain the target EC. Light period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime). In week 6 of flowering since pistils showing - the late flowering stage - and I'm getting excited 😎 the buds all over the plant are continuing to swell and trichomes are glistening clear. Some of the white pistil hairs have started turning darker into an amber colour - looking at another 2 weeks at this stage to harvest based on the trichomes. Buds & leaves are covered in resin and a strong citrus scent permeates the grow space. Will look to prune leaves below the net to help maintain the humidity. No major defoliation practice in this grow. The plant remains 48cm high from the medium surface, and the canopy is 30cm above the trellis net at its peak tops. Started the Pre Ripen stage of the feed schedule, changing to Ripen stage next week (details in the Nutrients section). Average volume of water per day has decreased with the colder weather. It's been harder to maintain the humidity in the grow space below 60% with the outside weather being wet. My small dehumidifier is running outside the tent in the surrounding room (as it's not effective considering the air exchange rate in the space is high). The extraction fan is operating continuously to maintain both temps and humidity, and 3 fans ventilate inside the tent ensuring lots of air movement. After a full flush at the end of last week, the run-off EC spiked much higher again within a few days. Managed to bring it back down over a few days by decreasing my inflow EC to 1.15 . My target is for the run-off EC to be within 300 points of the Inflow EC. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is maintained now to three times a day (at lights on/+4hrs/at lights off) to maintain the target EC. Light period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime). In week 7 of flowering since pistils showing - the ripening stage - and those buds are swelling beautifully 😎 Been away on holidays so coming back to see this baby was a nice highlight and relief. Pistils are now darkening and curling all over, and trichomes are mostly all cloudy with a few amber ones. Checking trichomes on various buds with a 16x magnifier and at this stage looking to harvest within the next week. The buds are permeating a wonderful citrus scent (pure lemon) - just makes me want to rub the leaves all over. Almost all fan leaves will be pruned off over the next week prior to harvest. No major defoliation practice in this grow. The plant remains 48cm high from the medium surface, and the canopy is 30cm above the trellis net at its peak tops. Started the Ripen stage of the feed schedule (details in the Nutrients section), and will be flushing for a few days prior to harvest. It's been a better week to maintain the humidity in the grow space below 60% with the outside weather being dry. My small dehumidifier is running outside the tent in the surrounding room (as it's not effective considering the air exchange rate in the space is high). The extraction fan is operating continuously to maintain both temps and humidity, and 3 fans ventilate inside the tent ensuring lots of air movement. Inflow EC has been dropped substantially in the last stage of the feed schedule with run-off EC being maintained within 300 points of the Inflow EC. Fertigation events had to be dropped to once a day whilst I was away on holidays so the pot was getting fully dry between events (not desirable due to built up of salts in coco). Light period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime). In week 8 of flowering since pistils showing - the last ripening stage - and harvest time 😎 Completed the Ripen stage of the feed schedule (details in the Nutrients section), and did a flush 4 days prior to planned harvest - followed by plain watering events until the extended darkness period. No pH adjustments when given plain water. My flushing strategy is simply to shock the plant with a big EC drop in the root zone - with the hope of more cannabinoids and terpine production. Pistils in the canopy were nice and amber, and trichomes were mostly all cloudy with a few (10%) amber ones. Checked trichomes on various canopy buds with a 16x magnifier on a daily basis to plan when to harvest. The light light was turned off on day 56 of flowering (from first pistils) for an extended 36hr of darkness prior to harvesting - again this is a strategy to shock the plant. Harvested the whole plant in one go due to time pressures, my preference would have been allowing another 1-2 weeks for the lower buds to ripen properly. Wet trimmed just the fan leaves to allow for a slower dry over a week. Humidity levels have dropped dramatically last few days and these conditions will last another week quite possibly. It was lots of trimming work with nice citrus scents throughout the area - nice dense buds to manicure. The branches were beautifully stacked with buds and cutting them above the net pretty much looked after the whole plant- not much larf or popcorn buds below the net though the lower buds needed another week. Manicuring of the buds will start after a few days of drying ensuring moisture is retained in the buds for a slower dry. Happy Harvest Day!

Loved growing this plant - solid quality genetics from RQS, the phenotype was just what I expected for the strain. It showed fast and vigorous growth through to producing great dense buds (very signature Kush buds to me) - equal sized across the canopy. It responded very well to training and grew incredibly strong stems/branches, and yielded really well considering the total grow length. Currently in jars curing, the smell is strongly citrus and pine. Smoking it has wonderful energetic and happy effects, with pine notes coming through and the high seems to get stronger after an hour or so which is always a nice surprise. And I'll be making a full extract oil from it for nighttime use as the effects typically last much longer and slightly different.

Well what started as a journey to test a vertical ScrOG setup quickly turned to an awesome horizontal one once I realised my plans were ambitious beyond the 60cm play area 😁. My aim was to grow the plant applying LST only, with a slight deviation to a few(!) accidental toppings when stems snapped under my care. No major defoliation was done other than selective pruning to increase air-flow, and lower humidity levels inside the space. In future grows, I may try to prune more below the net to avoid immature buds or harvest in multiple stages. My nutrient program was based on a low EC feed strategy by Coco for Cannabis. And unless growing in a sealed or automated environment, outdoor weather conditions had a substantial impact on my indoor grow conditions which resulted in a more hands on approach controlling temp/humidity. Harvested the plant in one stage due to personal commitments, would have preferred a 2 stage approach to allow the bottom buds to ripen further. The Indica dominant buds had a high leaf-to-calyx ratio and it was lots of trimming work with incredible piney scents whilst I was zipped inside the grow tent by my wife 😬 (I think she enjoyed the 'zipping me up' process). Harvesting and trimming in the tent worked great to maintain the harvest scents inside only. I trimmed and manicured over a number of days which made the experience much more enjoyable. As always, the right tools make a huge difference alongside harvesting in stages. The harvest was done after an extended period of darkness (36hrs), with the intent to stress the plant in ripening its flowers. Trichomes across the canopy looked good and ready to me with 85% cloudy, 10% amber and 5% clear. I wet trim all the fan leaves within the first few days of being hung, then after a few more days in the drying process I do the trimming and manicuring over a further 1-2 days. Music always helps :) Observation notes from manicuring; - too many larf/wispy buds on the lower sections of stems - most lower buds seem to still be immature in ripeness - the top canopy buds were all A grade material - high leaf to calyxes ratio on lower buds The drying buds had a very strong pine smell after being hung, whilst a few weeks back it was all citrus. Used the tent as a drying area maintaining a higher humidity of 50-65% between 19-23*C to extend the drying period whilst hung in branches. Buds were placed in jars once dry to touch then managed very closely until in the curing zone (following a method published online ‘A perfect cure every time’. Dry weight includes only grade A/B buds, and excludes larf (which unfortunately there was a lot of). I'm very happy with the yield considering the entire grow length was over a month shorter than my previous crop and yielded the same. Once humidity readings inside the jars reached stability and fell nicely within a 59-65% RH range, the buds were separated into grade A, B and Larf - placed in curing jars for the long term. Will continue to open each jar 3 times per week for the next month. Thanks for all the comments/banter and support everyone, it's an awesome community here 🙏- makes growing even more fun, social and a great learning experience 😀. The best we can offer is to share our experiences ... what you do with it all depends on you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside a bedroom. Passive & active intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where a central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier (not effective unless you’re in a sealed environment) - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - GHE Flora trio nutrients and various additives - pH and EC/TDS meters - 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy the other at the roots level)

@GanjaTorturer, I use the Coco for Cannabis site as a good scientific and practical reference, and it has a great feed schedule with lots of info - well worth reading through the articles on the site. Best information I have come across to date online.

@HazeyBobby, I am sure to steal...I mean try this tech for my next grow 😇 I noticed your EC and that your nute cocktail has it all, higher level cannabis knowledge in action ✊

@HazeyBobby, I'm in the lucky position that every one in my apartment building knows me and they don't call the cops even though there from time to time smells all over 😂

@BlackOpsGrow, cheers mate - harvesting and trimming inside the tent made it the most relaxed harvest yet for me. I've had a few harvests in winter where I was sure the whole building would be smelling weed, and with a summer harvest (open windows everywhere) I couldn't risk it 😎

We got to rename that Strin in Og_Bush..... such a leavy Girl

HazeyBobbycommented5 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, yes I agree about the light distance... next grow I will dim the light for the first few weeks as you suggested a few weeks back - there's a lot of heat and light waste during those first few weeks. The short internodes makes it harder to do LST and even watering :)
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimarcommented5 years ago
@HazeyBobby, Well if you ask me, i would say its the distance to the Light.. you got some reel powerful light here. But i have to admit that the Og Kush grows extrm strong. I had her Outdoors and it was a very strong Plant with bigass leaves and very sturdy leaves and branches
HazeyBobby
HazeyBobbycommented5 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, yep... crazy short internodes & big leaves. I'll just let her grow under the ScrOG net and see if it flowers as much as it grows :) My last grow took 6 weeks to reach this stage 😎. I think I need to give it a higher EC feed as the run-off is getting very low in EC.

@HazeyBobby, crossed branches how cares. It’s what’s on the end of them that maters. Lol

@@JP148, cheers - it grew fast and strong ... I couldn't really keep up with spreading every branch out nicely, I'm sure to see many crossed branches as I start harvesting 😁

@Experimentgreen, thanks and yep there a Tropicanna Banana growing outdoors - I have big plans for that one on the balcony :) I'll start a diary for it when growth is substantial - SO much slower outdoors in soil :)

What’s the deal with these airpots I see them all over are they any better than fabric pots ?
HazeyBobby
HazeyBobbycommented5 years ago
@@@@@SNoWfLaKe420, at the end of the day it comes down to what works for you. I've really enjoyed growing with the Airpots - predominantly because they are very easy to handle, to clean, transplant (as you unroll the pot open), allow me to anchor hooks in the air-holes with LST, air pruning of roots and allow for high frequency fertigation. I have a problem with over-nurturing (over-watering) plants in regular pots. I have a plastic tray the pot sits in and I know the roots at the bottom will never reach the tray (as they are air pruned 5cm from the bottom of the pot). I'm also using fabric pots and like them other than the muddy mess you can end up with at times. I tried airpots since I liked the idea of more air circulating around the medium. Have a look at the harvest photos of last grow diary 'Time for a Strawberry Lemonade' or 'In need of a critical cure (CBD)' to see what the roots look like at the end of a grow. Last note :) - using the 20L airpots, I found it hard to find any normal pot trays that fit under it and had to use a tray made for office work.

@@SNoWfLaKe420, Iam using both Types of Pots. Both are great. For outdoors and automatic grows i take the Smartpots.. Smartpots keep the humidity very well inside. and are comfprtable to move and handle. But if you have a problem with overwatering its a mess- Airpots iam using for my Photoperiod Plants- Because its so easy to transplant, without hurting the Roots But if you are in impatient person in watering ... i wont recommend them. You may use the wateringsystem from the company, or watering often ( daily) not to dry out the plant. and its good to have buckets under the pots. But in total it totally depends in you wich you prefer
