In week 6 of flowering since pistils showing - the late flowering stage - and I'm getting excited 😎 the buds all over the plant are continuing to swell and trichomes are glistening clear. Some of the white pistil hairs have started turning darker into an amber colour - looking at another 2 weeks at this stage to harvest based on the trichomes. Buds & leaves are covered in resin and a strong citrus scent permeates the grow space. Will look to prune leaves below the net to help maintain the humidity. No major defoliation practice in this grow. The plant remains 48cm high from the medium surface, and the canopy is 30cm above the trellis net at its peak tops.
Started the Pre Ripen stage of the feed schedule, changing to Ripen stage next week (details in the Nutrients section). Average volume of water per day has decreased with the colder weather. It's been harder to maintain the humidity in the grow space below 60% with the outside weather being wet. My small dehumidifier is running outside the tent in the surrounding room (as it's not effective considering the air exchange rate in the space is high). The extraction fan is operating continuously to maintain both temps and humidity, and 3 fans ventilate inside the tent ensuring lots of air movement.
After a full flush at the end of last week, the run-off EC spiked much higher again within a few days. Managed to bring it back down over a few days by decreasing my inflow EC to 1.15 . My target is for the run-off EC to be within 300 points of the Inflow EC. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is maintained now to three times a day (at lights on/+4hrs/at lights off) to maintain the target EC. Light period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime).

The grow setup includes ;
- Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom
- Mars Hydro SP250 LED light
- extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 (gives me great control over the environment)
- ventilation fans
- aquarium heater for nutrients solution (for winter use only)
- small oil heater (for winter use only)
- small dehumidifier
- 20L Airpots (as final pots) and 3.5L general plastic pots (for seedling stage)
- Canna Coco substrate mixed with 40% perlite
- GHE Flora Trio as base nutrients and various additives
- pH and EC/TDS meters
- 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy, the other at the roots level - these allow for external monitoring and recording)

Some strain info from Royal Queen Seeds ;
An amazing mix of genetics background - Its true genetics are unknown. Some say OG Kush is a mix of ChemDawg with a Lemon Thai and Pakistani Kush. Others say that it’s just a special cutting of ChemDawg from the early 90s. The most obvious trait of OG Kush is its strong, unique, very dank, slightly citrus aroma, almost like fuel or strong detergent. The flavour of OG Kush is equally as strong and dank, with a long-lasting aftertaste. OG Kush is an extremely strong cannabis strain, with most experienced smokers listing it as one of their favourites. The effect is as strong physically as it is mentally. Though its effect is like an Sativa, the strain's genetics are mostly Indica. The effect is as strong and complex as the flavour. OG Kush takes around 8 weeks to flower and on average the yield is 500 grams per plant.
@HazeyBobby, If you have the space, fill that bugger up! Haha. Can't hurt. And Hell yah. Fan stems the size of your pinky looks awesome. Great health and vigor when I see these things. Word up fella👍
@JinksyGrows, cheers mate ... some of the bigger fan leaves have stems like branches 😁 can't even use my fingers to pinch off :) I think I like growing bigger plants :)
@HazeyBobby, @Mrs_Larimar Hard yes, I really hope you enter this beauty!!! Holy smokes man! DOTM is Diary of the Month😉 (But hey, just not this month cause I'm in it, K?😅😅)
@GanjaTorturer, I use the Coco for Cannabis site as a good scientific and practical reference, and it has a great feed schedule with lots of info - well worth reading through the articles on the site. Best information I have come across to date online.
@HazeyBobby, I am sure to steal...I mean try this tech for my next grow 😇
I noticed your EC and that your nute cocktail has it all, higher level cannabis knowledge in action ✊
@HazeyBobby, I'm in the lucky position that every one in my apartment building knows me and they don't call the cops even though there from time to time smells all over 😂
@BlackOpsGrow, cheers mate - harvesting and trimming inside the tent made it the most relaxed harvest yet for me. I've had a few harvests in winter where I was sure the whole building would be smelling weed, and with a summer harvest (open windows everywhere) I couldn't risk it 😎
@Mrs_Larimar, yes I agree about the light distance... next grow I will dim the light for the first few weeks as you suggested a few weeks back - there's a lot of heat and light waste during those first few weeks. The short internodes makes it harder to do LST and even watering :)
@HazeyBobby, Well if you ask me, i would say its the distance to the Light.. you got some reel powerful light here. But i have to admit that the Og Kush grows extrm strong. I had her Outdoors and it was a very strong Plant with bigass leaves and very sturdy leaves and branches
@Mrs_Larimar, yep... crazy short internodes & big leaves. I'll just let her grow under the ScrOG net and see if it flowers as much as it grows :)
My last grow took 6 weeks to reach this stage 😎. I think I need to give it a higher EC feed as the run-off is getting very low in EC.
@@JP148, cheers - it grew fast and strong ... I couldn't really keep up with spreading every branch out nicely, I'm sure to see many crossed branches as I start harvesting 😁
@Experimentgreen, thanks and yep there a Tropicanna Banana growing outdoors - I have big plans for that one on the balcony :) I'll start a diary for it when growth is substantial - SO much slower outdoors in soil :)
@@@@@SNoWfLaKe420, at the end of the day it comes down to what works for you. I've really enjoyed growing with the Airpots - predominantly because they are very easy to handle, to clean, transplant (as you unroll the pot open), allow me to anchor hooks in the air-holes with LST, air pruning of roots and allow for high frequency fertigation. I have a problem with over-nurturing (over-watering) plants in regular pots. I have a plastic tray the pot sits in and I know the roots at the bottom will never reach the tray (as they are air pruned 5cm from the bottom of the pot). I'm also using fabric pots and like them other than the muddy mess you can end up with at times. I tried airpots since I liked the idea of more air circulating around the medium. Have a look at the harvest photos of last grow diary 'Time for a Strawberry Lemonade' or 'In need of a critical cure (CBD)' to see what the roots look like at the end of a grow.
Last note :) - using the 20L airpots, I found it hard to find any normal pot trays that fit under it and had to use a tray made for office work.
@@SNoWfLaKe420, Iam using both Types of Pots. Both are great.
For outdoors and automatic grows i take the Smartpots.. Smartpots keep the humidity very well inside. and are comfprtable to move and handle.
But if you have a problem with overwatering its a mess-
Airpots iam using for my Photoperiod Plants- Because its so easy to transplant, without hurting the Roots
But if you are in impatient person in watering ... i wont recommend them. You may use the wateringsystem from the company, or watering often ( daily) not to dry out the plant. and its good to have buckets under the pots.
But in total it totally depends in you wich you prefer
@GanjaTorturer, thanks heaps! I wasn't expecting this much but the buds just weight a lot. And there was over 70g of larf/trim which I'll extract into hash oil 👌 very happy :)
