1st grow ever | Outdoor / Indoor

I was ready to build my first indoor growing system. Growing my first lady ever! And then Covid-19 appeared and broke all my life projects lol. Confinement... Time for gardening, growing veggies, flowers.... And some weed ! My current situation don't allow me to spend any money on any setup, so this will be verry basic. I'll be thankfull to nature for whatever i get from it. Sprouted last night (Seed in the pot -> lightly watering -> first leaves in 72h). She's enjoying the sun for the first time of her life right now :) I will have 100% sun and good temperatures for the next days, so this should make her happy. She will be outdoor in a 10L pot, from sprout to harvest. Using basic soil from gardening store. As i said, no budget, and almost impossible to get specialized soil these days.... I will try to give nutrients made by myself. Any recommandations about this will be really appreciated. I'm preparing lentils juice right now, should be ready in 5 days. A bit late i guess, but will be good anyway. Nothing more will be added until flowering i guess, the soil is verrrry rich i believe. Except if she show some deficiency. She will have like 12-13 hours of sun everyday (up to 15h in one month) (with a big sun, as i'm living in altitude), and she will spend night inside (Outside too cold at night for now) I might turn this into a greenhouse setup, if i receive the tarp I ordered... Update Day 5 : - Adding some of my lentils sproot juice in the watering of the day (10%). - Been abble to order a fabric pot of 30L. I should receive it between day 13 and day 20. This been suggested by Ukexperimentalist, thanks to him. I will be verry carreful to avoid any stress for the plant during the transfert..... 😶

Day 8 : Everything seems going well. The plant look great. The weather is still perfect. Big sun / no cloud all day long. But Week 3 might be cloudy & rainy... Hope to receive the tarp to make that greenhouse in time. had another feeding with the homemade lentils sproot juice today. 😙 Day 11 : Probably last day of good weather for at least one week... I got the feeling those last 48h that she was growing way faster 😋 I'll see if i notice a change with this new weather. Tarp for the green-house still not received... She may stay inside, behind the window for some days.... 😟

Day 15 : Nice weather, the sun is back... Thanks to climate change 😶 It was cold on the morning... So i decided to put a plastic bag over the plant for the morning... to create a greenhouse effect. I went back like 3 hours later, there were condensation on the bag and the leaves had closed on themselves. PANIC. Removed the bag and she was back to normal in like 2 hours... Not sure if this was because of the heat or humidity !? All good on the end. Day 16 : 10 hours of big and direct sun... I forgot to mention that when i put the plant on the inside for the night, i actually put it under a standard home light for some hours (the one that light the room i chill on the evening). That's probably not verry effective, but i believe it's better than nothing. Still bit more light, since 10 under sun is kind of short... Hum... And still no news from the fabric pot and the tarp (for greenhouse) ordered during week one lol... Day 17 : Received the new Fabric Pot. Not the right size.. A 16L.... But I'm going to ignore that 😒 Transfert went well, except that one of the first leaves been partially damaged. But all fine I believe. For the transfert, i made a cardboard circle with a hole in the middle. This allowed me to safely reverse the pot 😇 Using a fabric pot was the BEST decision. I saw all the water retention on the bottom, was a real timebomb. Day 20-21 : Rainy & cloudy weather. So she spending day in the inside behind the window. I take advantage of any sunbeam, and put the plant outside when profitable, even for 30 minutes. Weather should be good in the next day, with lot of sun 🙌

Day 25 : Half the week had terrible weather, no sun, rain all day long.... And i can see that growing got slower... This getting better now, the meteo look good for the upcoming days, and she spent all the day outside under sun... Still with a plastic dome, to create greenhouse effect.... (outside temp. : 17°C) Day 27 : The weather is perfect, and reached the 24°C air temperature for the first time today ! Still using a plastic bag to create a little greenhouse effect. Day 28 : Tarp for a real greenhouse received :D

Day 29 : BIG UPDATE ! I received a LED light panel 😎 . So the lady will now receive 18-19h of powerfull light. 10 hours of direct sun outdoor (in greenhouse), and 9h of indoor light, under a Mars Hydro TS 1000. She loved it so much :D You can see how she raise her arms to the heaven 😍 And she is growing way faster, no doubt, it's really impressive. Day 31 : I notice purple coloration on some branchs (see photos from day 31 - week 5). Like on the base of the stem. Day 33 : Shitty weather today (Sunday). So i decided to let the plant enjoy the rain for the first time. I been worried about loss of life in the soil, because of excess of chlorine in tape water. (Covid-19 : Chlorine X4 those days, in my tape water). Some light spots appeared on leaves on day 29, and i was thinking it could be some deficiency. But after 4 days, no evolution on this, no more spots, nothing. Anyway, i decided to add some dirt to the pot (thinking it would bring back some life if this was an issue), and let the plant under the rain for like 1 hour. Some randoms nuts, some CO2, maybe some bacterias...

Day 39 : Well, the plant seems to be verry happy :) She grown a lot in one week. +27cm in 7-10 days ! (not sure when i measured for the last time). I still notice a little Calcium deficiency since the begining. But it's verry small, just some brown spots on some leaves, not evolving to bigger spots. So the plant is healty... And I believe that having 19 hours of light including 11 under leds, make her hungry... maybe a bit too much for the pot size and what the organic soil can provide. Anyway, it's seems to be really ok, since the plant still look verry healty. I'm going to search for a source of calcium today. Ill see what i can find at gardening store. Either way, I'll boil some grinded eggs shells, and water the plant with it, maybe with a high nutriments bottle of water. The thing i'm more concerned about is the air humidity. I'm at 60%... I would be at 50%. So i got a dehumidifer yesterday. But after a complete night of running, i was at 64% in the grow room....... Having the plant outdoor for the day will help to reduce humidity. I hope this will work, either way, it could be a problem... I also noticed something weird about the apex ! Look photo on Day 39 : It's taking a weird path ! And it's doing the same on the next node LOL. I was thinking of a genetic issue. Messaged Fastbuds, they told me that was odd but not a problem. Other growers told me the same. Thanks @Ganjagrandaddy @HarbingerOfHarvests @The_420 Day 40 : Added some "seaweed coccolithes lime" over the dirt... Reallly a little, probably not even 1g. Was like 10 little small ball. And then i watered. With the objectif of providing a bit of cal-mag, since I noticed a little deficiency since multiple days. Will wait one week and see if that been positive or not before adding some again or not. Day 41 : I already notice that leaves color is now better. Timing, or effects of the feeding from yesterday (seaweed cal/mag) It's a more deep green, when it was too light green to me. She's also seems to consume more water since 24h. Still having issues with indoor humidity in grow room. The plant (and probably the fab pot) must be adding more humidity than what my dehumidifer can absorb. But day outdoor at 30-40%, night indoor at 50-60 will be fine i guess.

Day 44 : The lady took something like 30cm in one week... Well, she's getting verry tall... And I'm not gonna be abble to set the LED light higher... I'm already at the lowest lamp to plant distance... I Hope that she will calm down 😅 If my growing room get too small... I'll probably not put her under light anymore. So outdoor during the day, and indoor (in the dark) at night. Some of you may say that earlier LST would prevent this... But as it's my first grow ever, I really wanted to let her grow the way she want... Just to get experience with the plant. Still no nutriments. But i'll try to get some next week. Probably biobizz. She is 77cm tall today. I did the math, my growing tent capacity will allow her to grow 10 more centimeters. If she goes over this limit, i will have to switch to 100% outdoor. Will not Supercrop. Day 45 : +5cm ............. Day 46 : +5cm ............................... Day 47 : +4cm (91cm) Plant outdoor on the morning, like everyday. I changed the way LED light are fixed in my grow tent... I gain a few centimers, maybe 10. Day 49 : +1cm compared to Day 47. The lady definitly stopped main cola strech. I feel blessed, because she's using 95% of my growing room height capacity :D (lamp to plant distance taken into account). Ordered Biobizz Bio-bloom, will receive it at the end of the week. This should provide a little boost for the buds ^^ Will try to get Biobizz top-max too. Seeing the first "sugar leaves" for the first time today 😍. Also, I need to mention that the weather is perfect since one week. 24°C, 45% humidity, sun all day long. Peeer-fect.

Day 51 : I can see the sugar leaves coming, and the "purple" traits of the genetic, and that make me so excited 😋 Perfect weather : 8-9 hours of direct and powerfull sun, at 24°C / 45% humidity...And the same for another 11 hours indoor under a Mars Hydro TS1000. She's having the best condititions 😍 Tomorrow, I'm supposed to receive Biobizz bio-bloom. Hopefully this will give a little boost and provide heavier buds on the end. (I'll try to get Top-max next week). Day 52 : Received Biobizz - Bio-bloom today. Used today. First nuts feeding since the begining ! Will probably use it until week 10 (so during 3 weeks). Day 55 : I noticed some little but probably multiple signs of deficiency. So i gave her 25% more Bio-bloom than advised dose. (5ml/L instead of 4ml/L). I believe the plant ask it, and... Not taking risk, it's the 2nd feeding since her germination, so no risk to have a too much fertilized soil at this point. IMO the smell is still weak. I use no air filter, and i can't smell anything when she's indoor.... But putting my nose on it give me a sweet and fruity smell : Peach / Violet / Roses.... I cannnnn't wait :D

Day 60 : Well, the weather is doing everything possible to offer the best conditions. Days been a bit less hot those days, arround 20-22... Perfect for "purple effect", but also for the flowering stage... Purple Gods are with me. I will have Biobizz - Topmax on Day 62. It will be added to the watering. But i'm not sure I'll be abble to use it a lot, since she *may* be close of the harvest. I'll get a microscope next week, so I'll be more abble to know when flushing period will come. Day 64 : First use of Biobizz TopMax ! :) Not listed in feedings of the week because it's the last day of week 9 ;) I will receive microscope tomorrow.

Day 71 : Received Biobizz Fish-Mix & Bio-Grow. Added to the watering of the day. I hope that Fish-mix will improve the smell of the plant, since i think it's kind of weak. When she's inside, I'm totally stealth... Great, but i would preffer to smell her more :D I chosen this strain for the smell & the taste... Potency is on the second level for me. She have a verry great smell when i touch it, or put my noise on it. But my house doesn't smell at all, even with no air filters ! And why starting Bio-grow and Fish-mix that late ? Because i started this grow during confinement, and had no option to get it earlier... Day 72 : Got my (shitty) microscope. I believe that I haven't reached the 100% cloudy.. So i can continue to feed the plant.. Maybe for one week ? That's good :) Wining some grams here ^^ Day 73 : Found a damn caterpillar in one of the lowest buds. She did almost no damages. Checked rest of the plant : All good. Will re-check everyday starting from now. Caterpillar : NO PASSARAN Day 74 : meticulous buds check : No caterpillar... Allright. I Believe the one found yesterday fallen from a tree, since i saw some abseiling my tree once ^^ But will continue to check. Trichomes check under microscope tell me that i still can feed her. Sweet. At least one more round of Top-max ^^ Update : @NorCal_Kannabliss adviced me to start the Flush !! Allright, no more feeding baby !!

Day 75 : No more nutrients. Time for flush, as advised by other growers. I found some fly eggs, but just 3, each ones on a different dying leaf (dying ones). Weird, since fly are supposed to make eggs by batch lol. Destroyed the eggs, definitly under control. The harvest is coming soon !! 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Day 89 : Leafs dying but haven't reached the 20% amber at the moment. But i see some at some places... Day 90 : I decided to harvest tomorrow, on Day 91 (week 13) : A friend is visiting me in 10 days, and we NEED the lady :D Brown trichomes are appearing. It may not be at 20%, but the plant is dying... So looks like a good decision to make.

On the end, I believe it's a verry nice strain for a begginer. Even with no feeding, and just regular gardening soil, I had amazing results. The plant was outdoor in the day, indoor during the night, so facing all the agression from the outside.... GG Blackberry ^^ The flowers are verry light, and that's because of the absence of feeding. They are very fluffy and not dense. But they are fully covered of trichomes, and have a pleasant smell and taste. Smooth smoke. So amazing result for my experience, and for the setup :) I'm disapointed about the taste for now. Maybe curing will change the taste, but for me it's mainly "Diesel" and that's definitly not what I was looking for. UPDATE AFTER 1 MONTH OF CURING : Well, i just realize the taste changed, and with a good flower (not too much leaves) i actually felt the taste of... Blackberries. IT's actually amazing :D Not berries, but really blackberries !! I will grow this strain again, but with feeding during veg and flowering, to get bigger and more dense buds. This one was too much leafy, and this is not the best for the taste. My "quest" for the "purple" taste I'm looking for continue. Next batch : I will try Purple Kush (auto) from Buddha Seeds, and Queen Sherbet from Royal Queen Seeds !
