This week was probably the hardest in terms of patience. Not knowing if they're developing at the right pace is a major bummer.

This week kinda sucked. My lack of knowledge was really evident this week as feeding times and nutrient amounts elude me. My plants seeeem to be growing despite this? Began low stress training. Update. Plants seem to be doing well. This week was rough as i struggled to get my runoff to PH right. It seemed to be high despite always watering at a PH of 5.8-6.2. I decided to do a water without feed as a result and my run off is now testing at about 6.5-6.8. My PPM run off is usually on target about 600 per feed, but the EC tends to test very high at about 1800 to 2000 which doesnt make much sense to me. Im not a scientist but i can only theorize its because im washing away deposits around the root system that get left behind when osmosis doesnt occur correctly. Im struggling to find the right balance of feeds so im not wasting my nutrient in my coco So far Ive found my numbers stay on target when mixed with 1-1-2 ratio of calmag micro and bloom. I wish i could bump the dose up from 1ml of the micro but it brings my PPM way too high due to my tap reading high as is. No way im paying for distilled water at every feed.

Day 20:Anticipation is beginning, I dunno if im getting close to flower but they look really small to be flowering. Im debating on taking the restraints off to see if it helps them perk up but i know im probably just watching them TOO closely. Day 22: Didnt remove the restraints and saw some dope growth. Flipped the direction on both plants. Was previously upping bloom, but i think more Micro is the way to go. I want a bigger vegetative base. I may up micro and calmag eliminating bloom on 2/3 feeds a day. Then supplement it in a PH watering during the third before lights off. The plant needs nitrogen to build branches and support. Day 23: my plant is dry and prickly and i dont know if thats what I want. Its not brown or anything, I want to get rid of the space heater in my tent if anyone has any suggestions for alternative heating solutions. I will probably only need it for another month or so anyways. Day 26: LST is going better, got that bonzai look. Nutes are still a struggle for mutant. Plant 1 and the sprout that hasnt been shown at all seem to grow regardless of what i throw in their pot. Very chill.

Do you have any suggestions to heat a 2.5ftx2.5ft space without using a space heater that blows hot air? I feel like having it blow hot air around my plants is drying them out, but I don't know if an oil radiator is too large for the space I have provided. Oil heater too much?

I use a oil heater in a 1.2x1.2 in The night to prevent temps dropping so much and it works great, how much space do you have in your tent? A small oil heater would be effective in your space. But like birds of prey said you need to have extraction, I’d also recommend oscillating fan to prevent any heat pockets etc, good luck!

Nothing really to report this week. Ph of medium is perfect. PPM is perfect on run off. Plants seem fine just waiting for bloom. I took some pictures of the stems but i dont see any pistols tbh. The mutant looks like shes struggling per usual. I might add my sprout onto this grow as I think the mutant will end up lagging behind enough that they will finish at the same time. We have pistils and are officially in flower. Plants look good. Plant 3 is growing really well.

Plants really popped up. Mutant decided to be a real trooper and completely caught up with her big sister. The sprout is doing fantastic with the LST My leaves are looking beat up. Dunno if its from the training or if its from pests or what. Welp. I did it. I broke the main kola on plant 1. I had it tied to the grate below the pot, and i moved the pot. The tie held firm my plant did not. I tried taping it... but to no avail. I didnt get any good pictures as I was trying to save it and when it failed I wept for quite some time. Sad day. Plant looks fine though, although im sure its end yield will be badly hurt as a result.

This week started off fine. Got a little minnie fan for the plants. THe one with the broken main stem seems to be doing fine although im sure its yield will be reduced. Patiently waiting for buds to form. Update: Plants are looking good, id like a neat little USB microscope but i cant be arsed i think ill just buy a jewelers lupe. Started working to move my medium PH down to 6 from 6.5 I didnt realize 6 was the target number for coco until just now. Everything seems fine. Buds are slowly starting to form. Anticipation is getting the best of me sometimes but im excited to see the buds stack up. Im starting to look at my equipment and wishing I had done more research before making my purchases. SpiderFarmer SF1000 has good reviews but you can never tell whats authentic and whats manufactured in terms of customer satisfaction nowadays. I would just like something that has double the PAR for my space. 80cmx80cmx160cm. Im hoping what I have is sufficient, but from what ive been learning my yield will probably be less than what I hoped to achieve. Im aiming for around 50 grams a plant but i dont think this light has the power to hit that mark. Update: One suggestion I would make to anyone reading this is PEST PREVENTION. As this is my first grow i havent done anything to prevent pests beyond trying to keep a clean environment, I regret it. Every blemish on my leaves makes me think i have some sort of creeper on my plants and without a microscope to check im left to speculate until population sizes get out of control. With a lot of pests-once you notice them its too late.

hey there, you're actually in tip top shape. Just remember, once you close the tent up it actually gets way more bright than even slightly opened which is how you see it, so even the lower parts get their fair share of light. If anything you can probably lower the lights just a touch. The light affects the plant with an exponential schedule so even a small change in distance can bring it home in a big way. Hope this helps ! 🚀

How do you defoliate without shocking your plant? I wanna strip some leaves from my jungle to open it up. I dont wanna hurt my girls though. What are some rules to follow to ensure I dont hurt my plant?

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Wow she's a big girl.. Well done.. Ok ur best and easiest way will b to work on 1 branch/arm at a time.. Personally i like to leave 1-2 sets of ur big leaves on top.. These are her main solar panels.. Start to take away any of the large leaves that come directly of the branch(they usually have a long stem) and work ur way up remembering to keep those top sets of leaves..work ur way around each branch doin the same.. I know it seems like ur damaging her but she will b fine and all part of the technique .. I wudnt take any other leaves coming from flowering sites until she fills out again.. Ideally u can do this part of a weekly schedule to make life a bit easier for urself in future.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀

Light defoliation to kick off week 8. Also added Armor Si into our feed mix. 2ml per gallon 2 hours before i prepare the rest of the feed. Plants eat better than I do Becoming discouraged. Not seeing a lot of bud production going on. Starting to wonder if I need to up my p and k or what. Am I just gonna grow a bunch of popcorn buds? Update: As we close out week 8 i chose to say goodbye to the mutant. Kind of really disheartening, but she had no bud sites while her top buds were pretty deep into flower. I decided the amount of space she took up just wasnt worth it when I could be getting more light and airflow to my other plants. Live and Learn i suppose. Expectations are quickly lowering in terms of yield but the trichome production on the youngest plant is pretty baller.

Hey there, so what's going is that you're litterally watching a plant grow day by day sometimes several times a day so it's normal that it doesnt look like much is going on, but it really is and it will keep going, if you look at your grow diaries week on week you can really tell, but it's normal to feel this way . Bad news is that the next few weeks less and less really noticeable action is gonna happen, but the good news is you're dialed in to a T so you're gonna end up with a large yield full of potent bud. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Week 9 looking healthy. Another light defoliation, get better light to the nuglets. The plants seem to be responded really well to the additional room in the tent. Their buds are filling out more which is nice. Update: Noticed some light spotting on the youngest plant. Plant leaves measured around 80ish, so I put my light up an inch or so and turned my fan up. Youngest plant is looking the best with great buds. I just realized I have no idea how to tell if a plant is ready to be harvested Bud is thickening up still with some really great trichome production. Lol someone send me a better camera so I can take frosty pics.

Week 10 looking strong. Got some decent kolas growing and im noticing all of the buds are fattening up. Also orange hairs on some of the buds. Were getting there. Constant temperature and humidity battles moving forward as my state is flooding and the weather is just plagued by inconsistent weather anyways. Aiming to get my temps around 70 but they drop pretty significantly with the AC on. However without it the humidity is a steady 80ish and thats way too high. Cant seem to get my RH below 60 however so were blasting fans in there. Humidity continues to plague me. Got my fans going full blast. My leaves are getting a bit of wind burn but Ill be devastated if they mold now >.< Humidity slightly going down. Pretty nice ngl. Plants are looking better than I imagined. Really thick buds on the youngest plant but the oldest is doing better. I imagine the frosty looking one will be ready in a week or two and the other one will end up going to 16ish weeks

WEEK 11! The anticipation is absolutely killing me right now. I see these frosty nugs and I just wanna smoke them. Orange hairs for days. Still not sure when to harvest but im gonna let them go to 12 weeks and watch trichome production. Looking for some amber trichomes before chop so ive heard but maybe ill ask a question or two. The humidity is finally going down in my state. Which is great. The city is in chaos but these girls would never know it. Got a microscope. Its cheap and it sucks dont bother buying one, its too hard to keep your hand sturdy while taking a picture and keeping it focused. Looking back i didnt listen and I should have. Why bother asking question amirite? Oh well, at least I have it for pest detection on leaves. Not a single amber trichome in the bunch though. Im noticing a large amount of "milky" trichomes but so far no amber. maybe by the end of next week ill start seeing what I want. Closing out week 11. things are running smoothly I suppose

Half way through week 12. Starting to see a little bit of amber on one of the plants. Lots of amber on my youngest plant. Gonna harvest probably sunday. The other one looks like its got a couple more weeks. Update: I put the more ripe of the two in total darkness for 48 hours to prepare it for harvest. I dunno if there is science behind it but it was recommended by multiple individuals across forums and the like. The plants have been separated and the one that is still growing has sprawled out. I didn't realize how big it was until just now. Got a couple glamour shots as best I could. Chop tomorrow. Then a long dry im sure with how humid its been lately.

Keep it under 60% to help avoid microbial growth. Keep it in dark, especially while it is sitll alive, initially, but for other good reasons too. THC is broken down by light. Lower temps in 60s F are better. This should causes a 7-10 day drying period or so. Depends on other factors too, like density of buds and how much you pile to gether etc etc... After that you cure it. Think of a humidor. That's the best environement for your buds. Long sterm storage should be vacuum sealed and fridgerated or froozen -- opaque container to block out light. ~55% RH and better not to be air tight, but if it is make sure you burp it regularly. anaerobic microbes will make it stink and taste like the brown pound you used to get when you didn't know any better, lol. Boveda packs make it easy to control humidity. Check them out. They give recommendation for size of pack relative to quantity of "herbs."

Cut one plant down after 48 hours of dark. Other plant is still growin. Will update journal with a harvest after I weigh it up and try it. Havent posted much this week. only so many pictures you can take right? Eagerly waiting for one plant to finish drying I think its going to make it to 14 days for drying Eagerly waiting for the other to finish growing. I think its gonna make it all the way to 16 weeks for growing

As I wrap up the two week flush im placing this monster in darkness for 48hours after a heavy haircut. These buds are pretty big so I figured a wet trim was necessary to avoid the risk of mold Will be chopping sunday and then ill update on a dry weight and taste after I let it dry. While I have you here I might as well plug my next grow. I will be growing 2 strains in 5gallon buckets The first is Lemon auto by seedsman The second is Northern Lights also purchased through seedsman though I think the breeder is Phoenix seeds. Not sure. I also purchased a MARS HYDRO TSW2000 so ill be running that for bloom. We will be using a trellis net on that grow and I am honestly very excited to get it under way.
