This week started off fine. Got a little minnie fan for the plants. THe one with the broken main stem seems to be doing fine although im sure its yield will be reduced. Patiently waiting for buds to form. Update: Plants are looking good, id like a neat little USB microscope but i cant be arsed i think ill just buy a jewelers lupe. Started working to move my medium PH down to 6 from 6.5 I didnt realize 6 was the target number for coco until just now. Everything seems fine. Buds are slowly starting to form. Anticipation is getting the best of me sometimes but im excited to see the buds stack up. Im starting to look at my equipment and wishing I had done more research before making my purchases. SpiderFarmer SF1000 has good reviews but you can never tell whats authentic and whats manufactured in terms of customer satisfaction nowadays. I would just like something that has double the PAR for my space. 80cmx80cmx160cm. Im hoping what I have is sufficient, but from what ive been learning my yield will probably be less than what I hoped to achieve. Im aiming for around 50 grams a plant but i dont think this light has the power to hit that mark. Update: One suggestion I would make to anyone reading this is PEST PREVENTION. As this is my first grow i havent done anything to prevent pests beyond trying to keep a clean environment, I regret it. Every blemish on my leaves makes me think i have some sort of creeper on my plants and without a microscope to check im left to speculate until population sizes get out of control. With a lot of pests-once you notice them its too late.

Do you have any suggestions to heat a 2.5ftx2.5ft space without using a space heater that blows hot air? I feel like having it blow hot air around my plants is drying them out, but I don't know if an oil radiator is too large for the space I have provided. Oil heater too much?

I use a oil heater in a 1.2x1.2 in The night to prevent temps dropping so much and it works great, how much space do you have in your tent? A small oil heater would be effective in your space. But like birds of prey said you need to have extraction, I’d also recommend oscillating fan to prevent any heat pockets etc, good luck!

hey there, you're actually in tip top shape. Just remember, once you close the tent up it actually gets way more bright than even slightly opened which is how you see it, so even the lower parts get their fair share of light. If anything you can probably lower the lights just a touch. The light affects the plant with an exponential schedule so even a small change in distance can bring it home in a big way. Hope this helps ! 🚀

How do you defoliate without shocking your plant? I wanna strip some leaves from my jungle to open it up. I dont wanna hurt my girls though. What are some rules to follow to ensure I dont hurt my plant?

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Wow she's a big girl.. Well done.. Ok ur best and easiest way will b to work on 1 branch/arm at a time.. Personally i like to leave 1-2 sets of ur big leaves on top.. These are her main solar panels.. Start to take away any of the large leaves that come directly of the branch(they usually have a long stem) and work ur way up remembering to keep those top sets of leaves..work ur way around each branch doin the same.. I know it seems like ur damaging her but she will b fine and all part of the technique .. I wudnt take any other leaves coming from flowering sites until she fills out again.. Ideally u can do this part of a weekly schedule to make life a bit easier for urself in future.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀

Hey there, so what's going is that you're litterally watching a plant grow day by day sometimes several times a day so it's normal that it doesnt look like much is going on, but it really is and it will keep going, if you look at your grow diaries week on week you can really tell, but it's normal to feel this way . Bad news is that the next few weeks less and less really noticeable action is gonna happen, but the good news is you're dialed in to a T so you're gonna end up with a large yield full of potent bud. Hope this helps ! 🚀

When do I harvest my plants and what are the best ways to know I am ready to harvest? Can you see trichomes with 8x digital zoom well enough to determine if you should harvest?

A 30x jewelers loop is a great investment! Look for 20-30% amber trichomes on your buds! This is your harvesting sweet spot! Do not look at the sugar leafs! Happy Harvesting!

Keep it under 60% to help avoid microbial growth. Keep it in dark, especially while it is sitll alive, initially, but for other good reasons too. THC is broken down by light. Lower temps in 60s F are better. This should causes a 7-10 day drying period or so. Depends on other factors too, like density of buds and how much you pile to gether etc etc... After that you cure it. Think of a humidor. That's the best environement for your buds. Long sterm storage should be vacuum sealed and fridgerated or froozen -- opaque container to block out light. ~55% RH and better not to be air tight, but if it is make sure you burp it regularly. anaerobic microbes will make it stink and taste like the brown pound you used to get when you didn't know any better, lol. Boveda packs make it easy to control humidity. Check them out. They give recommendation for size of pack relative to quantity of "herbs."

Another alternative to space heaters with your size of space is Reptile terrarium heater or something similar. You can get ones that don't add light and only have heat.. So you get a nice heat source without all the hot air blowing around from the space heater. Another bonus is the heaters are designed to work in smaller spaces and generally are gonna run you a lot cheaper then a space heater if you already have a spare lamp you can plug into it.
