Week 3. All is well with the AG. transferring next week so nothing much to mention other than similar watering style. Misting a little. AL ~ working circumstances mean the plants could be alone for 4 days at a time. I got back this time towards end of this week and found the leaves to be like they are in my last photo. Not sure if they are burnt. Going to keep rolling with it and spray the leaves right down. I soaked them both in neem oil before I left them to keep the pests away as I found a gnat on the leaf of the AL.

I’m currently using miracle gro but thinking about changing as I’ve heard bad reviews about controlling the nutes, also I had an amnesia lemon growing alongside my AG and it ended up getting burnt up. If I’m using pots what medium and nutes should I be using throughout? Thanks

Hi @Foxtrotoscar for now there is no problem with humidity. but in a more advanced stage of flowering you will have to try to keep the humidity at 55%, it will not cause problems to the vegetative growth of the other two plants and you don't have to worry about mold in the buds. good luck mate 👍

I’m only 5 days into flower but could do with some fan leaves removing to let light in underneath. However I only just defoliated the day before flower roughly 6 days ago. Would it still be ok to clip a few off?

Hi @Foxtrotoscar yes, you can and should do some defoliation on the larger leaves that are shading the shoots. defoliation slowly and gradually so that the plant does not stress. the secret of defoliation is to do it slowly so as not to delay the plant. good luck mate 👍

In the early stage of flowering it will be ok , when the buds will be packed it will be a bit too much of humidity so a bud rot / mold can occure. For now keep it like that , after week 5 of flo for the photoperiodic it will start to be an issue and after week 6 it could be harmfull

It’s looking if but keep most off the stems under the net , remove the lower leaves and lower branches and don’t remove the net as it is in flowering that you’ll see the benefits of that training method

Is the mars hydro 1000w enough for the three plants that I have growing as I have replaced the 2 other leds. Should I keep one in along side the mars or run it solo?

The 1000 is a 150 watt QB. It depends on how big they get as its an area dependency. As long as things are contained within less than 3x3 ... Yes I run a TS1000 and a 600w HID, but I wont turn on the HID until things get big enough to be outside the Mars light pattern. You might want to hedge your bets and keep one of the old leds hanging. The old 30 watts of LED per square foot is not a bad guide but really does not reflect the new QB lights they are just better..

All the bud sites are different levels. Should I get rid of all the lower ones even though they are developing or keep them?

hey there ! you're just a touch too late with the bud site prunning, it can still work if you do it though, i think it's a good idea, anyway those lower bud sites dont amount to much , but if you're making extracts, why not keep them ! Next run do it but do it a week earlier for better results , hope this helps ! 🚀

I defoliated 4 days ago and seems to have bounced back nicely. Would anyone recommend snipping the big fan leaves off now to let light through or is it too soon to do it again?

i havent met a successful pro grower that defoliates in flower but everyone has their own special sauce. logically there's no reason why you would want light shining through the plant and when you close your grow room it gets WAY brighter than when it's open including in the lower parts of the plant. Just my honest two cents based on experience 🚀

Is it normal for my pistols to be turning brown/orange?

hi there.. yes it's absolutely normal that the "pistils" (it's actually the stigmas) turn orange and brown.. depending on the strain they might go purple or another color.. The stigmas is what creates the seeds if it's being pollinated, and when the plant waits too long without being pollinated, they pretty much "age out" and shrimple up. Given that we don't want the stigmas to get pollinated (unless you want to create seeds), that's just how they evolve. Here's a picture with the life-cycle of the calyxes: https://420bigbud.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Frosty-Buds-1.png happy growing!

Hi there! I think the window for harvest is open now! But there was few clear headed ones too but while the clear ones turn cloudy some cloudy ones might turn amber. Generally 70%cloudy 30% amber is the "right time to harvest" but for more head high you can harvest earlier. Maybe wait few more days and keep checking the trichomes and harvest when you feel like it! Congratulations 👌

Hoping someone could help. I’ve got my buds up drying but my RH is 70% and will not come down. I have it in a growing tent so I has air intake and carbon filter with a osculating fan AND a dehumidifier. Although it’s at 70% RH will it be ok?

That does seem very high. Is the room it's in very humid? Can you open windows and doors to help? Put a fan or aircon in that room? I'm sure it will be OK will take a long time to dry though, maybe trim each stem off and hang it instead of the whole plant.
