Greetings all,
I'm looking forward in growing my own Blue Super Monsters here. Super because I've also received Monster Bud Mix (Monster + Monster = hey what can go wrong here, its gonna be a SuperMonster).
On top of that it is also the Hocus Spocus Dopus time of the year where all the numbers align, planting at 4/20/2020 4:20 PM. Based on all this, I know for sure that it is going to be a great growth!

======================================
My pre-analysis/goals and estimation for this indoor growth:
The genetic lineage are strong with this one (medical parents lineage of around 18:3 ratio THC:CBD).
On height, I am aiming this time for a flawless growth (as always, thus without mistakes from my end) and believe that 70cm/27.56inch will be within reach.
On yield, I will low-ball my own number a bit here, I aim to go for at least 20gr-30gr/0.7oz-1.1oz or higher.
On growth time (excluding drying and curing), I could still improve and learn here, but I expect around 10-12weeks.
More info on the strain:
Genetics: 40% Indica / 35% Sativa / 25% Ruderalis
Parents: Cheese x Blueberry x Ruderalis (*1 see links below)
Flowering Time: 9–10 weeks (from seed to harvest)
THC: 16%
CBD: <1%
Yield (Outdoor): 60–110g/plant
Height (Indoor): 40–70cm
Height (Outdoor): 60–110cm
Available as: Feminized Autoflower seeds
1) Parent: Cheese (https://www.zamnesia.com/zamnesia-seeds/3276-cheese-feminized.html), Blueberry (https://www.zamnesia.com/zamnesia-seeds/3323-blueberry-automatic-feminized.html)
This weeks growth went according to plan. I am really looking forward on seeing the progress in the next two upcoming weeks.
My setup:
Mars Hydro TS-1000
Garden High Pro 15cm/6inch 5W Ventilator
Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 60 (60cm x 60cm x 160cm - 24inch x 24 inch x 63 inch)
Plagron Terra Growmix (Peat, Perlite, Worm manure)
I used the following germination kit:
Propagator Pro 2 (https://www.zamnesia.com/propagation/1101-propagator-pro.html)
Smart Start (https://www.zamnesia.com/propagation/1100-smart-start.html)
As an alternative germination starter set, you can also use:
Plagron seedbooster plus (https://www.zamnesia.com/fertilizer/5643-plagron-seedbooster-plus.html)
Plagron seedbox germination kit (https://www.zamnesia.com/propagation/5461-plagron-seedbox-germination-kit.html)
In the upcoming weeks, I will be using more Plagron brand products: Terra Bloom, Green Sensation
For new growers I would recommend the Plagron starter set, available in Terra and Natural (https://www.zamnesia.com/fertilizer/5633-plagron-starter-set.html)
In this growth I am also using the Monster Bud Mix Organic Fertilizer (see link 1 down below). I used half of the package for my 11L/2.91gal Geotextile Fabric Pot (see link 2 down below).
As this has been my first experience with Monster Bud Mix, I did not know yet what to expect. It claims to cover all nutritional needs for the plant. What I can confirm immediately after just two days is that it really enhances the soil biodiversity.
It is vegan and as such also has a strong natural odor, this odor evaporates after 2-3days. For stealth growers it would be wise to use a soil mixture for your pots consisting of: 75% of your soil mixture with Monster Bud mix in the middle, 15% top layer to cover any traces of the monster bud mix, optional bottom layer 10% small pebble sized stones (or replace with your soil as the smart pot solves any drainage problems really easily).

2) https://www.zamnesia.com/propagation/6029-fabric-pot-geotextile.html
The Zamnesia fabric pot (see link 1 down below) is sooooo much easier compared to regular or air pots, also these type of pots allow you to move and weight them without any problem.
The soil (Plagron) has settled, so this was my cue to add some additional toplayer to the pot (brings in new nutrients and protects the inner coating).
Dosing the water is a huge improvement with this pot compared to my other pots. The fabric really allows the roots to breath, allows evaporation of stale moist and allows water to spill through.
Spill through will come in real handy in a month from now, to get rid off any salt buildups.
Regarding the plant, my goodness it is growing like a true monster. Great extension of the solar leaves canopy, providing a good protection to my newly added soil toplayer.
Color of the leaves are indicating a proper healthy nutrient intake. It does seem to be an added benefit from the Monster Bud Mix (see link 2). I'm hyped to see it's effects in the upcoming weeks,
and if needed I still have one more portion which I could mix and add to the soil.
I've increased the distance of lamp to plant ratio from 60cm/23.62inch to 65cm/25.59inch, this is well within the range of Mars Hydro factory recommendations for it's current state.
As the plant has developed its first leaves canopy, it is time to stimulate it to grow. Pending on the tempo, I will gradually increase it with 5cm/2inch for the upcoming week, I expect it to keep on par with the current distance.

This plant is a true monster grower. It grew 18cm/7.08inch and a magnificent extension of the overall leaves canopy on every layer of the plant.
The leaves color are still proper and healthy. My shipment of the Plagron growing box also arrived, together with the Plagron Sugar Royal.
I've opted to stick to the calculated growing schedule, as the Plagron nutrients and Monster Bud Mix (see link down below) supplement/complement eachother.
This week I started with an initial distance of lamp to plant ratio of 65cm/25.59inch and increased it towards 75cm/29.53inch. As it grew like a monster, we are back at the starting position distance.
The lady has started to develop her very first pistels like clockwork, at the start of the fourth week. A true bonus having such a reliable predictable plant.
As blooming is starting, I will not increase the distance anymore and try to keep it around 60cm/23.62inch.
You will also notice that next to the widespread known Plagron growing set, I've also bought the Plagron Sugar Royal.
It is a Nitrogen rich solution, which will come in handy for the final weeks of blooming. My intend is to use it when the bottom solar leaves have been consumed by the plant.
Therefore maximizing the leaves canopy, allowing max photosynthesis for a prolonged duration.

Blue Monster really lives up to its name. Every day I had to increase the lamp to plant distance to keep it somewhat on par of my goal (60cm/23.62inch). It managed to double in size and grew a total of 24cm/9.45inch.
As you can see I bought myself a x1600 microscope. Still learning how to make the better pictures with that one. I hope to create a good snapshot at the end of the growth with max magnification. As it requires either a good camera stand or a tight handgrip where the slightest breathing can cause you to lose focus for a good camera shot. As you can see, I did not yet use max magnification, this camera is capable to show you the pores of the leaves (will demo that maybe next week).
Regarding the health of the plant:
The stem is nicely thick and sturdy. It was a very hot week outside this week, making it really hard to control the environment indoors. Consequence of this was that the Vapor Pressure Deficit ratio (aka VPD) ratio was not that ideal (notice how the RH is 40% and Temp 29C/84F) and caused her to transpire and consume a lot of the given nutrients in a shorter timespan. The two most bottom and oldest solar leaves show signs of nutrient burn. To allow the leaves to recover, the dosage of Terra Bloom wil be decreased, no Power Roots will be given, while only the dosage of Pure Zyme remains the same (the last one cleans up the soil around the roots) for the next week.
The plant is making some incredible progress. Lots of bud formations getting filled up real quickly.
Started this week by flushing the soil first. After this I fed the lady a reduced dose of the planned nutrients.
The leaves are nice dark green with an abundance of nutrients. The canopy is properly spread out and the stem is sturdy and thick.
Defoliated two low hanging leaves which were almost consumed up and had burn (nutrients) marks of the heatwave (extreme transpiration and water consumption) of last week.
My guesstimate is that this plant will be able to reach 70cm/25.65inch with the current progress.
Aiming to let it continue growing without adjusting the distance-to-lamp ratio anymore, so the distance becomes reduced to around 45cm/17.62inch which is perfect for blooming.
Regarding nutrients: plan there is to slowly build up on Terra Bloom, keep Pure Zyme for some additional weeks and half the dosage of Sugar Royale (in order to build up again to recommended dosage).
Buds are starting to fill up properly. There are already some occasional amber coloured trichomes visible with the naked eye.
This week I continued to flush the soil first. After this I fed the lady with a reduced dose of the planned nutrients.
The leaves are nicely green overall, with an expected Nitrogen uptake from the bottom leaves. The stem looks great as seen in the past weeks.
Defoliated some newly forming bottom leaves, as they will bring no major benefit beside of getting in the way when taking care of her.
Seems that my guesstimate might be correct, approaching the 70cm/25.65inch threshold.
The distance-to-lamp ratio became naturally at the recommended range of 45cm/17.62inch (which is perfect for blooming).
Regarding nutrients: well lets hope that I did not overdo the feeding now (I did reduce drastically on Terra Bloom and could have left out the Power Roots).
From my experience in this growth: I must say that the Monster Bud Mix (N 5% - P 1.74% - K 5.95%) as provided in the first week, has given positive effects in delaying the inevitable (Nitrogen uptake) for the bottom solar leaves.
Buds are starting to fill up properly. There are already some occasional amber coloured trichomes visible with the naked eye.
So she is back on a full nutrient scheme. First week of Green Sensation for this growth, really curious to the effects on the leaves in the first few days.
The leaves are nicely green overall, with dark greenness starting to fade as expected due to Nitrogen uptake from the bottom leaves. The stem looks great.
Pruned some obsolete leaves.
We achieved the 25inch/65cm milestone. Almost approaching the 70cm/25.65inch threshold.
The distance-to-lamp ratio is at 40cm/15.75inch (which is perfect and recommended for blooming).
Regarding nutrients: Somewhere this week, I will experiment with providing a bigger then recommended Nitrogen dose.
Blue Monster is reliable like a Swiss clockwork. Flowering started exactly at start of 5th week, and exactly 9 weeks from seed to harvest as described on the seedbanks page (9-10w). The smell is strong, sweet, and fruity. Letting it dry and cure now. Nice relaxing.
Wow, just wow. This monster really grew and matured extremely fast. I love the DNA of this one, as it scrogged naturally.
It grew 65cm (25.6inch) in height. Thick sturdy stem. This Indica dominant hybrid comes with Sativa looking leaves and Indica looking buds.
Smells fruity and is quite relaxing.
As I just harvested the lady and wet trimmed her, we will have to wait a couple of weeks till it dried to know the taste, effects and final dry weight.
The buds smell sweet and fruity, and are sticky (including the sugar leaves).
In the album you can find a x1600 microscopic closeup from a Trichome of a low hanging smaller bud which I used to approximate the status for the older buds.
For curing I will be using the Bovedo 62 humidipak (see https://www.zamnesia.com/stash-gear/4026-boveda-humidipak-62.html)
Hey there, it’s nice to see some fellow Belgians around 👍🏻
If you have any questions just shoot,I can help you out if you wanna grow without measuring ph or ec and wanna yield more than 4g 😉
Happy growing ✌️🌱
@TheBelgian,@Silky_smooth damn and I’m stuck here with these idiotic politicians 🙄😬woah that’s way up..Norway?
2 day’s after the other amnesia’s sprouted I started searching for te seed, never found it,covered the hole back up and waterd it again and 5 days later she decided to show up 😂
it’s a good trick what Silky_smooth says and if your working with older seeds you can make a seed shaker with the cardboard rol of toilet paper, close the bottom, put some sanding paper on the inside of the rol, seeds in,close top and shake away, this way you make little carvings on the shell so it can soak better in the water
@TheBelgian,try shaking the seeds in a glass with a lid for a minute before soaking....germination after 13h.....sprouth within 3days after start germing....😉
Hi @APOLLO, it was ready for harvest: it is actually an autoflower estimated on 9-10weeks (still no option to add the Ruderalis percentage) from seed to harvest. Initially, I had the same idea/impression to go for 10-12weeks hence my Plagron nutrient schedule. In the harvest week, you can see that I put some pictures of one of the toss away buds which I cut off one every week for easier microscopic observation. It has cloudy trichomes, the good buds (no close-up made yet) are older fully formed and have amber. Cheers 👋
@DrFabrizio_85, It works quite well actually. I recommend it to be used at start of Flowering phase (once every week) untill last weeks before flushing. Reduce amount given if the plant starts clawing. It is nowhere on their online calculator that I could find, however really effective for the leaves. I think the photo's (longer grow times) will have the most benefit from it.
Hi my friend :-) I wish you a lot fun and good luck with your Grow :-) Hopefully there will be a lot of great diaries in this competition 🙏🏻🍀 I also put the intro online 👍 Let it grow 😎
@Doktorholland, 100–150g for 18–22l (3.53-5.29oz for 18-22l), as we received an 11l pot I am using 70gr in one pot and 80gr in the other. For the second pot, it would be slightly more (5g) then advertised. But based on the described ingredients and my soil, I think and hope to see a better and more stable performance.
