Good first week. Using fox farms happy frog soil, with super soil autoflower concentrate mixed into the bottom 3rd of the soil. Soaked seeds in tap water for 14 hours then planted directly into soil. Sprouted after 3 days. Watering with 2-3ozs when soil is dry. (ph 6.5-6.8)
Second week looking pretty good. Had some fungus gnats show up, same as last grow, I put up sticky traps and gave a light spray of neem oil on the top of the soil, and bam 1 day later I don't see anymore. I dropped the humidity down to 50% now that the plant has some decent leaves. Slowly increasing water amount each time they need it, last watering was around 10oz. Other than that everything seems to be running smoothly. More to come next week. Happy growing everyone!
Welcome to week 3. Had some issues arise with light stress (serrations curling up slight twisting on a few new leaves) so I move the light up 8 inches and she seems to be doing better. Also had some brown spots on the very first set of true leaves, which may have been light stress also. I did add some calmag to the last watering as I am using RO water. The water gets remineralized after its filtered but I'm not sure to what extent. It didn't seem to be an issue last grow, but I figure I'll monitor the plant for any changes since I added the calmag and go from there. Aside from that, growth is progressing nicely, she has developed just a hint of smelly goodness, node spacing is pretty tight, good side shoot development, which is good because I plan to start low stress training probably at the end of next week so long as growth keeps on at its current rate. So awesome possum, oh and I'll say so far i'm impressed with my new spider farmer light (1000) other than if you go but what they say for hanging height, it is too much for my plant, it is adjustable but you have to remove the driver as the dial is underneath. Not sure why you design something that way but whatever. I'm going to attempt to leave it on full power and just adjust height as needed. Well that's it for this week folks, remember, stay high, happy, and healthy. See you next week.
Welcome to week 4! busy week......no longer seeing light stress, so that's wonderful. Top dressed with some down to earth organics 4 8 4, as she looked like she was getting hungry, seems to have helped. I also began LST midweek, side branches growing out nicely, i'll probably begin tying down secondary branches sometime next few days. I broke out the recharge this week for a watering, and will continue to do so once a week until 2 weeks before harvest, I recommend giving recharge a shot if you've never tried it, the plant seems to enjoy it. Well I think that about does it for this week. Until next time, stay high my friends.
Welcome to week 5. So I had to turn down the power on my light as I was still getting light stress, seems to be getting better. I added a bigger fan to get some better air circulation, much better now. Almost had a mild disaster; I partially snapped the main stem about 2 nodes down from the top while I was adjusting my branches...…...it wasn't a complete break and I taped it up right away. I don't see any signs of damage above the break, and the leaves haven't changed at all, so I think i'll be ok. Now the moment of the week:
I noticed today 5/21 that we have...……………..pistils! So looks like we are officially beginning flower. Im ready for the early flower stretch, I removed 3 leaves that were blocking some of my bud sites, im trying to keep stress as low as possible, however I guess I screwed that up by almost decapitating the poor girl. Ah well, no grow is perfect. So until next week I bid you all a farewell. Happy toking everyone.
Hello, and welcome to week 6, the first official week of flower! Haven't done anything special to her this week, just removed 2 more leaves, which I think will be it from now on since we are in flower. I have my light as high up as I can get it and turned down as low as I can get it, still a tiny bit of leaf twisting up at the top of the canopy but overall much better than it has been. I'm still wondering if it is all in the light or if somethings up with the amount of nutrient I used. I've added nothing nute wise since adding some 484 organic fertilizer about 10 days ago, and I probably won't add anymore until she looks like shes starting to need it. I've seen a LOT of early flower stretch the last 4 days, looking alright so far. Good light penetration due to my leaf removal and the sativa genetics, so hopefully I'll have good bud development along the entire length of the stems, but we shall see. Lastly I would like to thank all the people who take the time to read this diary, if its only this week or if you've been following right along the whole time. If anyone has any suggestions on something else they would like me to post in my weekly rants, please let me know, also I take 1 picture a day, from the same spot, or try to anyway...if anyone would like more pictures of different parts of the plant each week, let me know, and I'll make it happen. Once again thank you, and until next week......smoke em if you got em!!

Welcome, welcome. Here we are at week 7! Not much going on, removed a few more leaves, as im still seeing stretch going on, so im not too worried about it. Watering every other day, and using recharge once a week. Growing in soil with organic ammendments is a tricky mistress as it is hard to gauge how much npk is going to the plant.....I know I have too much nitrogen, as my older leaves are pretty dark, not enough to induce much toxicity but pretty high. Using recharge just aides in breaking down organic material in the soil, so im getting nitrogen from that, and from the small amount of 484 I added a few weeks ago......I've though it might be interesting to do a grow using just happy frog soil using recharge once a week, and small amounts of a bloom booster from the get go, as the recharge seems to provide more than enough Nitrogen, and the bloom booster would make up the PK balance. We shall see....I already have a different grow method in mind for the next grow, more to come on that. Well that's pretty much it, I think the first couple weeks of flower are a little boring, but it seems like the early flower stretch is almost over, so we should start seeing some decent bud development here pretty soon I think. I also turn up the power on my light to about 60%, seems to be alright for now. Until we meet again....light em up.
Welcome To week 8! Lots of bud sites all over. Started giving her a low dose of beastie bloomz by fox farm, she seems to be liking it just fine. ended up using it twice this week since I was only going 1/8 tsp per gallon. Overall I think shes looking pretty good, nice color, buds are forming nicely, good light coming through the canopy. I added a couple of bonus pics this week, one of the whole tent (I have another girl in there, but this diary is only focused on the one.) and I also took a pic of the canopy at eye level just for the hell of it. Well that about does it for this week. See ya next time.
Hello and welcome to week 9. Not much going on this week. Same deal with the beastie bloomz and recharge in the water, once for each, and just plain water between. Buds are starting to stack, looking alright. For now we wait.
Alright, see you next week...…..Happy growing!
Welcome to week 10! Well buds are filling in. I dropped the light to 14 inches from the canopy to give her as much as possible. I also noticed what appears to be a calmag issue (small brown dots on fan leaves), I had been using calmag once a week previous, but I've since switched to every watering, I may up the dose to 2 tsp per gallon for the next couple waterings to really boost those levels. I've noticed some pistils are starting to change color, so we are coming into the last leg of the journey. And finally since upward growth has long since stopped, I've switched my pictures to "bud" level. They aren't the same as looking at em in real life but its the best I can do. Until next week....may you never run out of weed.
Welcome to week 11. Pistils slowly changing color. about 25% turned, so from here on out its nothing but ph'd water till harvest. I must say I don't think I'll get a very good yield out of this plant, perhaps due to the main stem break back right before flower transition. The buds just aren't stacked very nicely and look airy, however the plant right next to it which got the exact same treatment is looking much nicer as far as bud size...she's a little taller also. I'm not too sad about it though, I'm guessing maybe 20 grams if im lucky, the other girl im thinking around 37, so hopefully 2oz between the 2 plants, which is a little less than what I got with my last grow, which was northern lights. I'm going to be using a new grow method next grow, I just need to figure out when im starting it...….after these 2 plants come down, I have another one in the tent now, which was a seed I had found some time ago. Its a photo period...other than that I have no idea...but its growing so I may just flip it to flower once the tent is empty, that way I can see if its female or not and plan my grow around that. Anyway I still have over an ounce left from last grow, so If this one isn't great, its no problem. I do have very high hopes (pun intended) for the new grow method I plan on using. More to come on that as we get to the end of this grow.
Until next week.....smoke em up, and happy growing!
Welcome to week 12! We are getting closer, more pistils changing color, with some new one showing up. Trichomes are starting the shift from clear to cloudy, should be seeing some amber coming up in the next 7 to 10 days I would think. The smell is quite nice, really slaps you in the face when I open up the tent. Still just plain water every other day, bottom leaves are starting to yellow and drop off. So not too much longer to go, if I had to take a wild guess, i'd say perhaps 10-14 days, but who knows....we shall see. Until next week...……….keep passing the grass.
Welcome to week 13. Pretty boring this week, just waiting at this point. Started to see a few amber trichomes, so getting there, im thinking probably another week since I am now officially in the harvest range based on the breeder (55-65 days). If all goes well next week will be the start of the harvest process. Until next week, pass the peace pipe.
Well friends...it looks like its that time. Today is day 63 of flower, so its going to be lights out for 48 hours then I will remove the fan leaves and chop her down. Then she will hang in the tent at around 53% humidity for I will say 7-10 days, after which I will trim and cure for 2 weeks before sampling. Look for harvest week being posted in the next 5 or so days. Now on to the new method I will be using for the next grow.....many of you may think im crazy or that it won't work well....but I have a good feeling...........here it is:
I will be using promix hp (high porosity) in 3 gal fabric pots. The seeds will be planted directly in the pots after they have soaked for 14ish hours. For the first 2-3 weeks they will get nothing but water....after that EVERY day they will get the following:
water with calmag and general hydroponics maxi bloom...thats right maxi bloom for the entire grow and nothing else. I will be running the same seeds as this grow, and im betting I can double the yield. Well thats about it for now, I'll see you at harvest week. Light em up.
Well here she is, fan leaves removed, chopped down and hung up to dry. Its been a pretty decent grow, and now just have to wait for drying, trimming, and curing. I didn't take a wet weight, because I find it pointless. I will be updating this week once its been dried and trimmed, and then once more once its been cured and I have sampled it. Once its in jars, I will be beginning the next grow with the new method I outlined in last weeks diary. For now.....Happy growing to all, and may all your nugs be huge. Peace.
UPDATE: She's been dried and trimmed...…..the plant that I did this diary on gave me 27.7g which was more than I anticipated due to the main stem break way back in early flower. My other plant which was treated exactly the same gave me 40.2 grams.....which was probably genetics because her buds were much denser. Either way 2.45 oz total from both plants, plus enough trim and larf to make about 2 pounds of butter, so im pretty happy with what I got. I'll update again in 2 weeks once I sample the product.
Final update. Well I sampled her today and WOW, she is potent. Nice energetic feeling, decent euphoria. Well she turned out better than I expected, its been a great ride. We'll do it again soon. Until then, light em up.
She's looking great. I really appreciate your light burn tip(s) for my own grow. I've since raised my LED on your advice. I look forward to seeing further weekly updates, Bless up!
@smoke24, two of the plants do, the other two just keep growing faster than i seem to raise the light. It's just the tips on the new growth though. The light is almost always at or above 60cm now from the canopy and i'm thinking I should raise that even higher. I'll try 70cm and see how they respond to that.
@Bluntblazer66, They feel pretty dense. I know my last grow which was northern lights ended up on the airy side. The only big difference with this grow aside from being a different strain was the fact that Im using the spider farmer sf1000 light.
damn bro i just pulled some beautiful flowers off the same plants. my pictures dont do justice but theyre all typed of lime green and bluish. Good job growmie
Hi, thanks for your comments
I am interested in which type of grow method you have in mind.
If you are interested in DWC with bubbleponics, drop me a line and I can do a video of my res set up. Its DYI and cheap as I could make it. Learned a lot about hydroponics in my first grow and I would not go back to dirt unless it's outdoor.
Good luck with your choice😎👍
Looking good friend. Beautiful setup. Plants seem to like it very much 👍 It's outdoor again for me but I read as many LEDjournals as I can cause it will be the lamp of my choice one day. Good luck and Happy growing.
