plants are on the small side. One plant hast a more sativa leaning structure, big node spacing, not much side branching and a lot taller than the other two. The smaller plants are more similar, much more bushy with tighter spacing. The cuttings from each plant rooted in 10-12 days
Pulled all the tops down to even them out and fill up the tent. The middle plant is a bit bigger than the other two. Haven't had to trim them up yet, they have a relatively open structure so far.
The two smaller plants are starting to fill out and will get trimmed up in the next couple days. The more sativa dominant plant is begging to be fed a bit more than the other two. It's showing a bit of an N deficiency, but that's easy enough to fix. Might even fix itself considering the stretch is pretty much over. The buds are really starting to come alive.
They're definitely coming to life now. The smell has really started to come alive. Two of the plants have a ton of crystal on the sugar leaves already and the third isn't far behind.
Trimmed out some of the lower leaves and buds, but the plants are fairly open by themselves and won't need much pruning to keep good airflow through flower.
The plants are pretty consistent. The buds all have a similar smell and look to them. The first plant has a more sativa dominant structure and has been a lot more hungry than the other two. She's taking 1200 plus ppm like a champ. The buds are already covered in sugar and have a very bright citrus smell.
The second plant is definitely looking the best. The buds smell identical to the first plant but theres by far more sugar and a bit larger buds on a more indica frame.
The buds of the third plant are the same size as the other two but it has the least amount of sugar and the smell is a bit less potent and different than the other two. The structure is the same as the second plant.
Looks like #2 is going to be the winner. Has an amazing strawberry smell and has great looking and fairly large colas.
#1 has struggled with a bit of cal mag related issues. It's the only one that has needed some supporting. The buds are fairly big and look like they are going to be a week or two early. The hairs are starting to turn pretty quickly, they're about 30 percent now. It still has a bright citrus smell.
#3s bud don't look quite as good as the the other two. They are more leafy and are lacking in crystal. They aren't going to be as dense as the other two. The smell isnt quite as strong but it does smell good.
They're really starting to pack on the weight and two of the girls have needed some support. Two of the plants have a bright citrus smell but the best of the three has an intense strawberry smell with tons of sugar on the buds.
It's funny how different siblings can be. of the three plants #2 is definitely the winner. It has a strawberry smell and very pretty looking buds. The other two have a more bright citrus smell and even though the buds look completely different they smell near identical. The first plant started to really yellow the fan leaves in the last week and a half, the other two not so much. #1 and 2 are getting the chop sometime this week. I'm thinking #3 is going to take a couple extra days.
I'm definitely learning the lesson about quality in genetics the hard way. This grow with a quality breeder has turned out much better than the past couple with cheap seeds. Not only is the yield significantly better but the finished product also is much higher quality both in looks and potency.
As much as this grow turned out well, there was one plant that was a bit of a problem child. All through flower it was showing a nitrogen deficiency and varying the ppm and pH only got me burnt tips. Later in flower it started to look a bit like cal mag issues starting as well. It just seemed like it wanted more food the entire time, but if you fed it more she just burnt. Despite all of this, I still pulled 130g of top quality buds off the plant.
The other plants grew beautifully. The citrus smelling one is lacking in hairs and crystal but is still plenty potent. The last plant is by far the best. It's going to need a bit of a cure to bring out the best in her but for now the nugs a absolutely covered in crystal and are sticky AF and have a strawberry jam smell, even though they dried a bit too much. They made it down to about 45, oops. Boveda to the rescue lol.
Once the humidity was back up, the average is about 135 a plant. Not bad at all.
